For those of you who are going to NC signing: there is some talk of BN not allowing you to bring in books from home. If you bring your books, Gordon and I will sign everything you have after the signing. We may have to do it outside or in a nearby location, but don’t worry, we will get you taken care of and we will bring book plates so you can take them home and stick them on the books you don’t bring.

You and Gordon are the nicest of authors! North Carolina is not my favorite state at the moment but I wish I could be there to meet with you.
I just talked to the B&N. Yes, it will only be for books purchased in store. (I’ve already got a paperback and an e copy of Burn For Me, so I’m not going to buy another copy. 🙂 Hopefully they’ll have some of your back stock in.
Looking so forward to this
Warning, I have all your dead trees, even anthologies. And an Orro. BTW, any chance of a Curran?
an Orro?
It’s a stuffed Hedgehog with a chef’s hat on. It a dog toy but to me it’s Orro.
That is really nice of you. I’m tempted to go down, but there is kind of a lot happening here ATM.
I wish NC stood for north California; it would still be a trek, but I’d start from the same time zone. Happy signing!
Me too!
Me three!
No surprise: You guys are SWEETHEARTS!!!
So close, but I can’t make it. Stupid night shift job. 🙁
Oh, but there’s a ::cough:: nasty cold going around. Don’t you feel it coming? (hint hint)
Lol
I had to take a night off work myself. 🙂
I’m not going to the book signing (and all of my books are on my Kindle anyway), but I am going to the event at Duke which is within walking distance. No parking problems. I’m crazy excited to see you both in person. Safe travels and welcome back to NC!
Take notes! Send us a dispatch from the front. Gah!! walking distance. I was trying to figure out how to fly there, get a hotel, and get a ride – based on good looks and a charming personality. Didn’t work.?
That is wonderful and what a boonice for everyone. Wish I could be there but my busy time is starting with the 4/15 deadline. Good luck, get some rest, and God bless.
You guys are the best! Thank you!
Why do I have this mental image of the Horde huddled in the dark together in a back alley somewhere clutching books to their chests?
Good one Natalie! I needed the laugh.
Please. We don’t huddle. We amass.
But not yet critical amass…
An adoring amass?
You realize I will never again read of a book signing without the image of a huddled mass of the Book Devouring Horde lurking in the darkened back alley? I have been traumatized for life! Worse, of course is the knowledge that I’d be drawn into the mass like into a black hole, thus adding to the mass. Traumatized, I tell you!
So excited to see that a trip to NC is in the works. Any chance of you coming to Charlotte on this tour? Where on the website can I see the travel schedule?
Thank you for offering this! My mom and I are makeing the trip down to the signing to see you guys. My heart fell because I own ever book of yours as it is. Purchasing another copy isn’t another option.
VERY nice. Wish I could be there.
You two are such a class act! I am proud to be a reader of your superb work!
You two are just such wonderful warm, kind and thoughtful people. I can’t be there but I thank you for everyone and everything from the bottom of my heart. You really are the best. …and of course my favorite authors.
Blast! I left Cary too soon. A year and a half ago this would be right nearby.
My wife and I will be there, It’s her birthday and this is the best present ever. We kept talking about making a trip to Texas for one of the signings but couldn’t get the timing right.
Thanks Ilona-I went to a signing of a popular author (she has 2 pen names) and it was she who made that demand in front of me-very disappointed ?
Darn, so close yet so far away. Bummer. Just put bucks into my car now to pay it off, bleh. Hope your trip goes well.
You guys are the best!!! Thank you for all your efforts!
I’m so stoked! I can’t decide if I should bring my paperbacks or my Kindle. Possibly both. I’ll be driving 8+ hours round trip in two days to make this and the Duke event but I get to see y’all AND my best friend who lives near Duke (and is also a huge fan). Totally worth it!!!
Same here, Lisa. About 4 hours driving each way. But absolutely worth it- I’m excited! I even bought some dtb, since all mine were on Kindle.
Just a heads up for anyone coming to Cary for the signing tomorrow – there is a state wide swim meet going on at the pool that’s on the other side of the mall from Barnes and Noble. Parking shouldn’t be an issue, but if you’re planning on having dinner, the restaurants in the area may be really busy.
Thanx for the warning.
This is terrific! Thanks. I admit that I mostly read eBooks. Will you be signing cover plates?
Its only 8 hours away…and with all the snow coming into the Northeast I could totally use the lack of snow weather… (am I seriously contemplating driving down tomorrow? Yes. Yes I am. Question is would I be able to drive back up again in time for the meeting on Friday at 8am.)
Can I ask how long the signing will last? I have to leave Cary by 830 as I have to be home in VA since work starts at 5am Saturday morning, but I really would like my copy of Magic Stars signed.
