The release of BLOOD HEIR is just around the corner. Normally, we would be arranging signings with bookstores. Unfortunately, COVID is still rampaging through the country, so we are home-bound but we still want to meet all of you and chat about the new book and what it means for the Kate Daniels universe.
We are doing two virtual appearances for the release of BLOOD HEIR. Both will be via zoom. There will be an FAQ and giveaways. 🙂 You don’t have to register, but it’s best that you do because attendance is limited. We tried to time the Saturday event so our European readers can join.
Tuesday, January 12, 7:00 pm Central.

Saturday, January 16th, 12:00 pm Central.
Click here to register for Saturday After Party.
We are recording these zoom events and will make them available for viewing on YouTube, or so we hope. If you are unable to attend but would like to have your question answered live, please use the contact form and select Blood Heir Chat Question as your technical issue. Our moderator will look through the questions and select a few most common ones for us to answer.
Signed Copies of BLOOD HEIR
We have happy to announce that we partnered with a couple of independent bookstores to bring you signed copies of BLOOD HEIR. Because of COVID, “signed book” in this case will mean a book with a bookplate. BLOOD HEIR is self-published, so it will likely be the same size as IRON AND MAGIC or Innkeeper books. Here is what a bookplate will look like.
The price of the paperback is higher than the usual price of the mass market. This is due to it being a print on demand title. We try to keep our margins as low as we can.

Small Magics Giveaway
We are giving away 3 copies of the Subterranean Collector edition of SMALL MAGICS. The giveaway is open to all readers.
The books are absolutely gorgeous, signed, and numbered.
To enter, post a comment on this blog about what you’re looking forward to most in 2021. The giveaway will end on Tuesday, January 12th and the lucky winners will be announced during Book Release Party and then posted on the blog.
If you commented and you don’t see your comment, don’t worry. Your comment is registered. We all collectively forgot that a new year started and our website host is caching the posts. This is being fixed. Please don’t comment twice. 🙂
Finally, we humbly ask you to please help us spread the word about Blood Heir’s release. We would like the book to succeed, so if you could mention it in your readers groups or social spaces, we are grateful.
And this concludes this massive publicity post.
What I’m most looking forward to about 2021 besides wonderful books of course is graduating college. One semester to go and I’ve got a degree!

Maddy Max says
What I’m most looking forward to in 2021? Being able to see the world again. Meet authors again. Smell the fresh air again because it’s impossible while wearing masks. 😇
Caroline P. says
I look forward in 2021 is the vaccine so we can see other people again
Angela Robisheaux says
I’m a healthcare worker and am looking forward to the vaccine returning our life to some normalcy in 2021. I am also excited to get back to traveling and visiting my family members out of state!
+1 ditto. I would really like to visit my near ninety aunt.
here’s to a year that gives me less anxiety about everything. Job, kids, house, life, friends. I want to practice more kindness, and be less affected by the lack of kindness in others. Overall, I just really want my kids to be OK. I have to believe that they will end up alright, but I keep coming back to that. I just want my kids to get through this. Thanks for listening.
Quail Hill says
I am looking forward to taking more time to communicate with others! Even if I cannot see them I can still reach out.
Seeing my family in Florida. Can’t wait for the release!!!! Thanks!
The vaccines! I know rollout is going to be slow, and that most of us will likely have to wait for a long time, but seeing the our most vulnerable getting protection has been one of my favorite things and I hope it only gets better
Aleta Greener says
Looking forward to the birth of our 2021 litter of foster kittens 😸!
What am I looking forward to most in 2021? My oldest son is graduating high school! I just hope we can actually attend the graduation.
I am hopeful that we can receive a Covid vaccine in 2021 and I will be able to spend time with my mom. She is high risk. (And maybe a family vacation? Is it too much to wish for?) Thank you for all you are doing to give us something positive to focus on. Here’s to a better new year!
I’m so excited to begin a new chapter of my life this year!
I look forward to more sewing and reading time. My head is at work a lot and I let myself be showered by the television too often. I hope to be able to change that in 2021.
Ann Williams says
I’m looking forward to hugging dear friends. Hopefully that will happen by sometime this summer. Until then, I’ll just be grateful for their ongoing health.
Bought! And shared! And e-bought!
What I am looking forward to most in 2021. (Assuming everyone gets vaccinated and the new strains of COVID are protected with the vaccine. ) I am looking forward to safely going to the movie theater with my family/friends again. We would make an event out of it, dinner then movies once every three months. It was a fun thing to do that did not require a lot of coordination between everyone’s busy lives. While some of the movies you can watch now at home, the feeling of going to the movies and watching it on the big screen is not easily replicated even with drive in movie theaters.
I am starting a new job on Jan 11th a bit nervous. My Husband is now an owner-operator truck driver as of Dec, and that has been new. The one thing I’m super excited about is Blood Heir.
Happy New Year!!! Hope it’s a great year with much joy.
I’m looking forward to hopefully travelling again this year and finishing my PhD.
2021? So many of the previous comments resonate with me! Especially though, I want my kids to be happy and healthy. One graduating from university and headed into her PhD program and the other still in university with big dreams just waiting for him. I look forward to all the potential a new year brings!
Wait, am I first? I’m never first.
Manou Liebert says
I look forward to the summer festivals that are planned everywhere. Since the covid spread is limited in summer, i have high hopes that they are going through. Almost all of them are planned as open air events in my hometown. And that means …. music, music everywhere. Street theatre! Circus in the park, open air dance parties, renaissance festivals, hip hop crews and capoeira. I cant wait.
I’m most looking forward to hopefully getting to see my family again. My closest family is over 2,000 miles away and I haven’t been able to visit since several months before COVID even started.
But…a close second….Blood Heir. I’m SO excited to go back to the Kate Daniel’s world.
And I just found out another of my favorite authors has a book in copy edits, so I don’t know when it’s coming out, but excited for The Empires of Ruin by Brian Staveley.
I’m looking forward to finishing my kitchen in 2021. Being homebound through covid I’ve done a ton of DIY, and right now my cabinets are half Sawmill Gravy and half original 2001 honey oak.
I am most looking forward to giving my mum a cuddle when all this is over.
I am looking forward to reading Blood Heir! I know it’s going to be amazing.
The thing I’m looking forward to most in 2021 is to finally take the trip overseas with my sisters we had to postpone.
I am most looking forward to doing some camping travel. My family and I plan to do more roadtrips this next year.
i am most looking forward to going to see my grandson and giving him big, huge hugs.
thank you for BLOOD HEIR, having something to look forward to really makes a difference to me.
I’m most looking forward to the possibility of going on holidays later this year, especially as Scotland has just entered full lockdown again.
If I say “what I look forward to most in 2021 is the end”, is that a bit too negative? It’s just that I’m really looking forward to CoViD really, really being past, and I’m not seeing that happen within the next eight months… I am lucky enough that I can work from home, but we are currently in a lockdown, and working from home with a teacher who needs to do online teaching and a kindergartner who needs help and support and cuddles is really less about working and more about trying not to go nuts… So if I’m not sounding too positive, well, there’s your reason 😅
Andrea Connelly says
I’m looking most forward to seeing my family again. It’s been a hard year without them.
I think this year I’m just super excited for all the new books I’ll get to read. 3 of my favorite authors are coming out with new books, I just ordered a new bookshelf… As far as I’m concerned this is the year of the book, and I am Readyyyy!!
Colleen C says
Happy New Year! I look forward to retiring in 2021, giving me more reading time! 😀
I got the Kindle copy for myself (in So. Cal) and the paperback for my sister in St. Louis. After the release I’ll order another paperback for my collection from my favorite bookstore, the Nowhere Bookshop, which is in Austin, TX. So looking forward to this book 😊
B Hsu says
I am looking forward to some family health improvements…fingers crossed!!
Edina Lang says
This is absolutely amazing!
Thank you so much for all you do for the BDH at these times as well!
Best of luck on the release!!
This year I am looking forward to finally getting my driver’s licence! Freedom, here I come.
Katie B says
I’m so excited for Blood Heir, thank you!
As for 2021… I’m so looking forward to giving and getting all the hugs once the vaccine is widespread!
This is amazing! I was lucky to receive an ARC of Blood Heir and just preordered a signed copy. I am most looking forward to the birth of my second kiddo, completing my yoga teacher training, and continuing to read amazing books!
Congratulations! I’m so excited to read the new books coming out in 2021.
Elizabeth Reich says
The absolute #1 thing I am looking forward to in 2021 is going to eat at a restaurant called Boiled Dragon. This restaurant opened up during COVID and features crab boil fusion. I have an extreme aversion to ordering seafood for takeout, perhaps because hot seafood dishes taste best when you know either the tips of your fingers or the roof of your mouth are going to be scorched. Sometimes I regretfully open up the menu, sigh over the fried crab bao or mild boil crab with thai basil, and wish fervently for a better vaccine distribution situation in Texas (and, frankly, everywhere). 2021, please grant me this wish!
Jessica C. says
I am most looking forward to celebrating my 15 year anniversary with my husband. We were hoping to plan a big trip but with the state of the pandemic we will likely scale back.
In 2021 I most look forward to starting my new flower garden.
Can’t wait for the Blood Heir!
Joe Healey says
Is the attendance limit due to Zoom limitations, or simply for manageability? If it’s a Zoom limit you might want to consider Google meet . . .
The thing I am most looking forward to this year is hopefully getting to travel and visit family again before the year is over.
I’m looking forward to me and my family getting vaccines this year, so life can get back to normal and so I can quit worrying. I want to go to church again and go to the movies and go shopping and go do all the things I can’t do right now.
Shannon D says
What am I most looking forward to in 2021? I would have said finally having enough money saved up to buy my first home but medical problems are likely to interfere with that this year.
So instead, I’ll say that what I’m most looking forward to is my (tentatively planned) holiday to the Dain Tree Rainforest in north Queensland. It’s not likely to happen until the end of the year but it’s been a holiday goal for me for a few years.
Rachel Wheeler says
I look forward to spending time with my family! My brother and his family are moving in with me while they sale their home!
Stephanie A says
In 2021 I’m looking forward to giving myself more self care (working mother of 3 young kiddos), which means hopefully more time for books! It’s been over a year since I’ve found time for myself to read a book. Blood Heir is first on my list, and I can’t wait for it to deliver!
I am definitely very excited for Blood Heir 🙂 but also about the possibility of being able to see more friends in person this year!
Thank you for all your efforts ! I can’t wait for blood heir to come out ! For 2021, I hope to find a job so I can move in my own apartment and leave apartment-share. I wish you all the best for 2021, happy new year ! 😊
What I’m most looking forward to this year? How about…
My son is getting married in December of 2021. I am so excited. I love is fiancée so much, she is simply the best. He originally planned on proposing during a trip to Japan they were taking during the first two weeks of March, 2020. We all know why those plans got derailed. So instead, they are going to make the trip their honeymoon. So yeah, I am really looking forward to Christmas this year and the special gift of a new daughter I will be receiving.
What I look forward most to? To meet people; family, friends and strangers. To talk to about books and everything else. To be able to visit the library and browse the shelves. I love my book club and we try to meet via zoom/Facetime but it’s not the same as meeting face to face, arguing and laughing about characters, plotlines and themes in the books we have read. That said, I would like to continue my interaction online with new friends and strangers around the world who love the books I love. I have seen more authors talking about their books and people gathering together online to give reading suggestions and talk about favourite reads.
I’m looking forward to turning 40 this year!!
Kirsten Parriott says
A new president 😁
Lorna Jorgenson says
Love everything you two write and I tell everyone. I even on rare occasions unlock the vault and share a book.
I’m not even sure what I’m looking forward to most, a return to somewhat normalcy, new releases (blood heir and hidden legacy 6 from the Andrew’s and other books by my favorite authors), or for spring so my feet will stay warm lol.
I am looking foward to physically going inside of HEB and smelling all their “Texas-scented” dish soaps. Weird, I know, but I miss it all the same.
Xiao Wen says
I might be able to adopt a second dog! (My first is a very laid back schnauzer who is the best girl). Also looking forward to blood heir (obviously), picking up cross stitching again and a bonus at my job that marks my 8th year in the organisation.
Lexie Cenni says
I’m so glad we can get signed copies and the zoom chats!! As for looking forward to in 2021…I mean mostly books, more Lucifer, more The Last Kingdom and my work bonus so I can pay off debt…
Courtney DeRusha says
In 2021, I am looking forward to hugging my friends and family again sometime.
Tiger Lily says
I am looking forward to a move toward normalcy. If that means mask wearing and other changes even after the vaccination it would be great to be able to hug my extended family. I am also looking forward to some awesome reads, such as Blood Heir(:
I’m most looking forward to new opportunities this year, plus being able to read a bunch of new books coming out 😍
Giovanna Davies says
Most looking forward to your success in 2021 in the form of more novels. And of course everyone’s continued good health ❤️
pat roos says
I look forward to there being something to look forward to, be it books by favorite authors, a vaccine available to everyone, but those shows taken care of the rest of us first, having some kind of sane government (please!!) soon!!! Well my list would only get longer, so I don’t know, maybe a puppy?!!?
What I am looking forward to in 2021– a decrease in panic and fear over something you can’t even see (a virus). For people to realize that out of this came unexpected personal blessings— what ever they might be. I look forward to taking a deep sigh of relief that WE survived and grew in unexpected ways and maybe tried new things because there was time….. as the quarantine lingered. I look forward to being grateful for small things like a well cooked meal, and large things like health, and the love of family, and helping someone….
Susie Bandy says
Ahhh! Looking forward to so much in the new year. But what I’m most hopeful for is a sense of lightness. Or maybe it’s simply the absence of dread, and fear, and constant anxiety. Fingers crossed!
So excited for Blood Heir. I’m counting down the days.
This year I’m most excited about gradschool! I’m really hoping it goes well. It wasn’t in my plans at all but it suddenly became something I really wanted. I’m the first college graduate in my family so no one has similar experiences, too.
Number 2 thing I’m looking forward to is the end of the pandemic, but who knows when that will be…
Van P. says
I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge in various subjects, create more and of course, all the new books releasing this year.
I love all your books and try to push them at my library where i work whenever I can.
As for what I am most looking forward to in 2021, I am looking forward to the birth of my first child.
Olivia Shepherd says
I am looking forward to soccer games with my kids, but still having fun at home (not forgetting the bright spots of 2020)
Stephanie Burgis says
I can’t wait for my preordered copy of Blood Heir!
For the giveaway question…I think honestly, what I’m most looking forward to in 2021 is for the vaccine to reach us, or at least our older family members (if it actually does in 2021) – knock on wood! What a depressing answer. But it’s true!
Erika DeVore says
I am looking forward to starting my PhD program and hopefully still finding time to read lots (&lots&lots) of books!
So excited for Blood Heir and any other IA books in our future. Thank you, thank you for the giveaway and Happy New Year! 😀
What I’m looking forward to in 2021? Blood Heir! And returning to the office once enough people get vaccinated. Best wishes, everyone!
Victoria Goaley says
2021 Most looking forward to: Being able to take my 1 year old son to the play park without having to go at sun-up (when it’s empty) and take a bottle of disinfectant.
I’m really looking forward to reading blood heir in 2021 and finally able to give my friends a good hug 🙂
Happy new year !
For 2021, what I’m looking forward to the most is the end of my Ph.D thesis, and the beginning of my career as a scientist :p well, that and the massive vacation free of stress before I find a job. 😂😂
I look forward to the summer. A summer without disease, with sun, sea and everything nice.
Van p. says
I’m looking forward to expanding my knowledge in various areas, create more and of course, all the new books coming out this year!

I am most looking forward to whatever the House of Andrews publishes this year, and if a new Innkeeper shows up, life will be perfect.
looking forward to getting my life back together this year. study more, get in shape, eat better <3
Susan F. says
I’m most looking forward to getting “the” vaccine the first chance I have. In a normal 2021, though, I’d be most looking forward to my son’s first day of kindergarten this fall as his next major milestone event (sniff sniff growing up).
Christina Romero says
What I’m looking forward to the most is everything hopefully getting back to normal!
Hello Ilona and Gordon ! Thank you so much for these events, the book of course, and the give away !
What I most look forward to for 2021 is to my wedding, but also to get my law degree, and maybe that’s too hopeful, but to find back a sense of normal and security. Thank you for being there with us during these difficult times and doing your best at making us happy.
Hope all your family is okay and that you will be able to rest and relax for this upcoming year.
Love from France !
Looking forward to seeing people in person. Hugging my friends. Life without a mask.
Lisa Menery says
Honestly, what I am really looking forward to in 2021 is new books. The world is still a dumpster fire, but with new books from my favorite authors, I may be able to survive.
Laurie Kimball says
In 2021 I’m looking forward to a better normal. Once this “pandemonium” (my 92 yr old mom’s word) is over I hope we can keep the best parts of what we’ve learned. Family and friends are more important than material things. Connection matters. A slower pace gives more time to enjoy the days. And more time to read and reread books. Including everything Ilona Andrews has written ❤️(Spoken from a healthy, financially stable POV)
I am looking forward to life getting back to normal and hopefully getting a vacation.
Also looking forward to spring, planted lots of bulbs that will be lovely too look at.
Anita Klaboe says
Enter me to win a copy of Small Magics. In 2021 I’m looking forward to a new administration that will have empathy for others.
Victoria Littlefair-Molin says
I’m looking forward to visiting my twin sister in the fall who lives in Australia in 2021!
Mary K Johnson says
Ideally I am looking forward to a less stressful year overall. That. If Ruby Fever arrives in 2021, I won’t complain.
Megan Bright says
This year, I am most looking forward to things approaching some semblance of normal so that I can really get back into my martial arts classes. I’m still doing kali, in which keeps you separated from the other person with sticks, but you absolutely can’t social distance and do aikido or krav maga, and trying to do the latter with a mask on is not even a consideration for me, I’m always on the verge of collapse by the end of a class when I’m breathing freely.
(Second place is watching my six month old Malinois, Lightning- Light for short- grow up into an adult dog, and hopefully start acting like she has some brains. For a dog as smart as she is, she doesn’t have any sense at all.)
Heather Luce says
Looking forward to getting my family vaccinated for COVID. Also making more progress on improving my embroidery skills.
I am looking forward to maybe seeing my father by the end of the year. I hope.
Michaela Black says
I am most excited to take a weekend trip with friends to a lakeside cabin!
Im really looking forward to being able to spend in person time with family. Its hard when you have people you love who are high risk and you can’t be with them on special occasions.. so here’s to hopeing this year we will get that!
I absolutely CANNOT wait to be able to socialize with my family in person again. Time is precious and it is slipping away. I’m not a terribly social person to begin with, except with my loved ones. I’m so hopeful there is a light at the end of this very dark tunnel.
Ahh I cannot wait! Definitely will be pre-ordering a signed copy.
I’m most looking forward to moving to a new city in 2021. My partner and I will be moving cross country and though it’ll be a struggle, I’m excited.
I’m looking forward to the day I am allowed give my parents a hug, we had to cancel Christmas plans due to local lockdowns
I’m looking forward to the (possible) light at the end of the COVID tunnel so it would be safe to travel again I’d be able to go visit my family in Finland.
Tonya Le says
I’m so looking forward to reading Blood Heir. I’ve been reread all the books just to get ready for it
I’m hoping for a better year overall. Hopefully more new books to read.

Thank you for the giveaway!
What I look forward to for 2021 is going on the road trip we had planned for last summer in Andalusia if the situation will allow.
And of course, reading Blood Heir!
What I look forward to most in 2021 is new books from Ilona Andrews! Well, I also love the blogs.
Monica Taylor says
Honestly the most exciting things in my calender for 2021 are book releases from my favorite authors. I tend to stay up and wait to download them so I can read as soon as possible…lol.
Looking forward to spending more time with family. (Hopefully!) Happy New Year!
2021! Looking forward to new adventures with my family!
Mia Bennetzen says
I’m looking forward to many things in 2021. Blood Heir and a couple of other books out soon aso. But mostly I look forward to giving my parents a huge hug, as soon as we are vaccinated against the virus. I haven’t been within 2 meters of the both of them since february last year.
Renea Kania says
In 2021 I am most looking forward to moving my son downstairs to a real bedroom and getting my office back! He’s finally old enough to be on a different floor than us and is excited about his new space, and I’m over the moon at the idea that my computer can move out of the living room and go back where it belongs 🙂
This year, I am most looking forward to receiving my Collectors edition of Small Magics 😏.
cannot WAIT for BLOOD HEIR. this is the most exciting. I’m sorry you guys won’t be able to tour but as someone who doesn’t live in the US I’m excited for the chance to “see” you. for 2021, I’m most excited for the chance I might see my niece (just turned one!) as things (hopefully) start to calm down. but very thankful for how lucky we’ve been despite all the challenges. hopeful for so much this year. all the best!
Release of Blood Heir is obviously a major highlight. Currently the best thing about 2021 is that 2020 is now in our rearview mirror. I love your writing!
Like so many – I’m looking forward to getting back to the “old normal” or as close as we can get to it! I’ve been working from home since March 16, 2020. My youngest son (19 yrs) is immunocompromised due to a medical condition, I’ve become the Queen of Curbside Pick up 🙂
Being homebound I have been re-reading and re-readings all your series along with Nalini Singh and your bestie – Ms. Frost 🙂
Looking forward to Blood Heir!!
I am most looking forward to finally defending my thesis in two weeks and getting my Covid-19 vaccine so I can stop being alone and touch people again. I want a hug.
Sorry that’s two. I’m honestly not sure which I’m looking forward to more.
Kristine Ahlskog says
Thank you so much for the post and all the information!
What I am looking forward to most of all in 2021, besides your book, of course, is the COVID-19 vaccine….my sister, who volunteers at a hospital, has already received the first dose a week ago and is doing great!
Crystal F. says
I am looking forward to a new year of reading books! I’ve been very excited for this one and a few others coming out this year such as Jeanne Frost’s Wicked All Night. I am also looking forward to COVID hopefully being controlled so I can finally take my 2 year old to all the places I wanted to start introducing him to at this age. First up would be the Zoo! Thanks for the Zoom events! I am going to try to attend one of them if it works around my sons sleeping time that day!
Ellen N says
My first grandchild!
In 2021, I’m most looking forward to hopefully being able to see my loved ones again with the vaccine rollout. It will be nice to hug my friends and family again.
Peggy B Brown says
In 2021, I am most looking forward to getting out into social groups again. I MISS MEETING NEW PEOPLE.
Yay, registered right away. Thank you so much for the European friendly time. Oh, and I look mostly forward for Corona to be vaccinated away so travelling will be possible again. I miss the sea.
In the immediate future, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on Blood Heir! 🙂 After that, I’m excited about my grandmother’s 90th birthday in April, and hoping everyone will be healthy and together for it!
In 2021 the Blood Heir release is way up on the list! Otherwise, looking forward to a more deliberate approach to commitments as kids’ activities are ramping back up. Something’s gotta give, and a 2020 with fewer things going on was a highlight of the year.
Jess H. says
In 2021 I’m looking forward to moving to a cheaper place and saving on housing costs.
I’m looking forward to traveling and meeting friends and family in person again. While waiting for this mystical future to arrive, having more free time to read is also cool.
Nikki Hughes says
I can’t wait for Blood Heir!!
What I’m most looking forward to in 2021 is *hopefully* a more normal year. Kids back to school, no more masks, everyone safe.
Kristi Grenda says
I am so excited for this book!! It looks gorgeous!! I can’t wait to read it <3 Thank you for doing the giveaway and the Zoom tour.
Being able to hug, shake hands and not wearing a mask so I can smile to lighten a strangers day, and feel good when someone else smiles at me.
What I look forward to the most in 2021 is the renewed hope of people turning to a kinder, smarter and more generous way of living. Perhaps with the passing of 2020 the permission that some have given to themselfs to allow baser instincts to rule their lives will fade a bit. My personal circle has certainly gotten smaller but there has in all of history been pivot points which dramatically change the direction of society. Here’s toasting 2021 with a vaccine, cool vibes and new entertainment!
Kathryn Norris says
I am looking forward to (eventually) getting a covid vaccine, borders opening again, and seeing my parents and my sister and her family again. Fingers crossed it does indeed happen this year. And Blood Heir. I’m very much looking forward Blood Heir!
I most look forward to reading more books. So many titles are coming out in series I read. I also want to catch up on Jeanine Frosts books. Sadly I’ve fallen behind and haven’t read her new series at all yet.
For 2021, I am looking forward to staying healthy and my husband getting healthy after his latest health incident. I am also looking forward to all the new book releases for the coming year. They help maintain my sanity in this crazy world.
I am looking forward to the vaccine so that at some point I can be with my friends and travel again.
Rachel Zimmerman says
Blood Heir release and it not being 2020 anymore! (And receiving the vaccine.)
Anika Wegner says
Whoo hoo, I’m so excited! I’m looking forward most to (hopefully) being able to meet up with my friends again.
Mandy Young says
Great health for everyone, and respite for all of the healthcare workers!
Things I’m looking forward to in 2021 – release of Blood Heir and anything else you write but most of all, I’m looking forward to seeing my kids and grandkids once the vaccine is readily available.
I’m looking to really great books!
In 2021, I mostly look forward to the hope. With all the “2020 sucks,” people gave up on last year way before it was over and pinned all their hope on making it to this one. Or, finding a beach and just chilling with some alcholic drinks… not sure yet

I’m looking forward to regaining my enthusiasm for reading in 2021. I had a hard time reading new-to-me books last year, after a lifetime of being a chronic readaholic. I’ve made some progress, finishing a new book already this year, so here’s to 2021 and all the lovely new books it may bring my way!
I’m looking forward to January 21, 2021.
Most looking forward to when my children can be with their friends and putting the pandemic behind us. Book wise – Blood Heir is my most anticipated book for 2021!
Kelly M. says
Can’t wait for the release!!!!!! SQUEEEEEEEE!!!
Giveaway entry: I’m MOST looking forward to being able to have people over for dinner or drinks or movies. To see my friends in person. To get off the crazy rollercoaster that has been COVID-time. To a reduction in political squabbling (it won’t go away – people of all parties are too afraid and we are too divided as a nation for that, but at least 2021 isn’t an election year and maybe, maybe some of the hateful tirades on both sides will subside). I’m also REALLY looking forward to reading Blood Heir!

for 2021, I am looking forward to getting married! Here’s hoping they figure out a better way to distribute the vaccine.
Side note: Every once in a while the blog doesn’t take my comments. I enter them, the screen blinks at me, but I don’t seem them. So weird.
Now for the post… All my brothers have moved to Texas, so I’m planning to move there sometime this year. Not looking forward to having to update my resume (first time in 15 years) or pack a house (even if I’m going to give most of it away), but I am looking forward to being in a warmer climate and closer to my bros.

Can’t wait to read Blood Heir. 🙂

Happy New Year. In 2021 I am most looking forward to doing things with my family and friends, nothing extravagant, going out to dinner at a restaurant or to the movies or maybe a big group of us getting together to play cards. I have high expectations for the myriad of vaccines being released, as I hope for the return of small events that I now realise bring joy and the feeing of connection with people I like and love. I am also looking forward to reading your latest novel which I am going to splurge on and buy in paperback (love the feeling of holding a book in my hands). Have a fantastic and fulfilling year
2021- New opportunities to interact with my friends even if it is different than what we’ve done in the past. I’m also going to try my hand at papermaking. I have no idea why but I’ve decided it’s a skill I need to perfect. It never hurts to try new things. You might find out you’re more interesting than you thought you were.
I’m most looking forward to getting the COVID vaccine and to be able to visit again with friends and family and to travel. Of course, any House Andrews snippets or books would only make that better. Thanks for your books and for helping to keep me sane (well, maybe saner) during this past year.
I’m looking forward to seeing my family in 2021! We are all very close and it’s been so hard these last 10 months. Also, books!

I would love to enter the giveaway of Small Magics, so here is what I am looking forward to most in 2021: dinally being able to see our families. My boyfriend’s family is in Belgium, mine is in Hungary, and we live in Austria. Due to the travel restrictions and quarantine requirements (and in order to protect our grandmothers) we haven’t seen our families a lot last year (the last time we met with either family was in August), so we are really looking forward to be able to travel to our birth countries.
Besides the awesome book coming out soon, I am looking forward to being able to go outside soon with my husband without fear he will die due to being high risk. I am also looking forward to starting grad school next Monday after not being able to start my educational journey until my late, late 20s.
I’m so excited for this books to come out! My birthday is Jan 14th, so it’s an early birthday present for me! I usually read the digital kindle books, but as this is special, I’m going to order a signed copy. I’ve read the KD books since I was in college around 2011, along with all the other series, and I am so happy that Julie is finally getting her story. I loved reading the blog chapters, and I really want to see what happened! I’ve been in suspense for months!
In 2021 I most look forward to getting my three yr old potty trained. There, I said it… It is what it is 😉

This is a little backstory to my 2021 wish. I live in a country called Malaysia. We are separated with Singapore by a river. Everyday, around 300 000 people from Malaysia cross the border over to Singapore for work. My boyfriend is one of the 300 000 people. Because of covid, the border has closed and I have not seen my boyfriend for over 10 months. We have bought a house and are supposed to get married this year, but… All I wish for 2021 is for the borders to be open and free again. Winning your book giveaway would be a balm for me in these trying times. 🙂
Lea Bourg says
Happy New Year =D
I must admit I can’t wait to read Blood Heir (I’m going to love Damian I can feel it ><)
In 2021, I can't wait to be able to go swimming in the ocean (it's been a very long time since I went swimming due to covid and health issues and I miss it a lot ! So as soon as the situation allows it, I have planned a short vacation on an island near France where it will be swimming and reading every single day !)
Thank you for doing the giveaway! am looking forward to seeing if the Dahlia tubers I saved from last year have survived the winter. Somehow I’ve managed to kill the tubers for the last 2 years – the first due to mold and the second year due to freezing temps. Fingers crossed!

So excited to read another novel in the world of Kate Daniels!!
2021 – looking forward to traveling again, to getting a COVID vax, to reading fun new books. Julie and Derek are two of my favorites, and I can’t wait to see where this story takes them.
I am most looking forward to, possibly, maybe, getting to begin my PhD. I didn’t go to college as a kid – there just wasn’t the money, so I went into full-time work and wrote in my spare time, then became a freelance writer years later. But a few years ago I was hired to teach writing skills at a university and it brought back all these feelings about loving learning and wishing I’d stayed in education. So I saved up, saved up and saved up and this year I finally graduated with an MA in Creative Writing – with distinction. I’m really proud of myself for having the courage and grit, and now my mother finally has something that she can mention when she talks about me that doesn’t make her do That Face, yay! But if I want to teach (which I do) I need a PhD, so I sent all my applications out at the end of last year and now I have to hope that 2020 didn’t curse all of them… fingers crossed.
But the thing I am looking forward to NEXT most is obviously Blood Heir 😉
Shawna Mitchell says

Kristin Brooks says
I’m looking forward to more books of any kind!! Pandemic not withstanding, reading has always been my go to escape when I just need a minute to breath. Obviously current issues have made that more important than ever and it’s comforting to know that at least that part of my life hasn’t changed.
Krista Hulsman says
I’d love to be in the running for the Small Magics giveaway. <3
Besides looking forward to Blood Heir and Iron Covenant 2 and my hope we will see some more Innkeeper this next year too if it works with your schedule), I'm really looking forward to the astrophotography workshop I plan to attend this spring in the Big Bend area of Texas. It was canceled last year as the area went into shut down due to the pandemic. I'm planning to head down early for some day shooting excursions before the two night workshop. Hopefully the skies will remain clear, and I'm hoping for low water levels at Santa Elena Canyon and no recent rain so I can finally get a pretty canyon shot. My last attempt was foiled by flash flooding on the road to the canyon.
Jona Greta Einarsdottir says
I cannot wait for the Blood Heir to be published. I just discovered your books about 18 mts ago and I have read and mostly listen to everything you have published. As I live in England I have had to do all kinds of digital acrobatics to find everything, all the short stories as some are only publised in the USA. I think I have everything now in digital, audio or writing ;). I am sorry to miss both your zoom as I am working as a Radiographer both days ;(, but I have already bought the book (digital) on preorder. You have such a intresting way of writing, exciting, suprising, funny and still make the persons soooo likable. Hope to see more from you soon. Good Luck

I’m looking forward to traveling again. Preferably overseas (hope, hope). And visiting friends in person! And retirement. I postponed it due to lack of travel. I realize there are plenty of people hopping on a plane, but it just seems stupid to do so.
I’m also looking forward to not reading horrible horrible covid statistics daily. I think that one might top the list. It’s been such a depressing year.
Thank you for this chance! Best way to start 2021:)
I am most looking forward to our family trip to Yellowstone this summer. My youngest is 8 and obsessed with bison! I am wanting to savor and enjoy this time because when he grows beyond a stage there isn’t another kiddo. Also my oldest is 18 and will be going away to college in the Fall so this may be one of the last family vacations with all of us.
To a year with reduced stress and better health for everyone!! Hopefully be able to bring mom home for an extended visit in the spring. And I’m very much looking forward to Blood Heir. I’ll have my ebook copy to gobble up and then the paperback with the signed bookplate for the new book smell. 🙂

I can honestly say that the most I’m looking forward to is celebrating my son’s first birthday with all our friends and family. As he is a COVID time baby, we didn’t get to celebrate his birth. He doesn’t even know his grandparents outside of the laptop screen.

I’m most looking forward to seeing what happens next. These are interesting times.

I look forward to STRENGTH. In body, mind, and Spirit. The last couple of years I have been recovering from a TBI (traumatic brain injury). This time last year I could barely take a shower and making dinner for my family felt like climbing a mountain. Now I can do those things in so many more! I am hopeful that I will remain disciplined in my rehabilitation and that this time next year I’ll be able to leave the house for more than a few of hours without getting sick for days after.
P.S Your audiobooks saved me when I could do nothing else but lay in a dark room.

Wonderful new books coming out. Our recently-adopted trio of semi-feral kittens learning that humans are not scary and have warm laps – and learning to purr; I’m really looking forward to their learning to purr.

This book and vaccine!
There are so many things I’m looking forward to this year. But I think the most important is the vaccine. My folks are in their 80s and it was hard enough only seeing them on Xmas-eve for one night (after all of us spent 2 weeks in quaratine and had ourselves tested). I want to be able to hug my mother again, to visit spontaneously, to spend as much time with her as I can.
So I would say it’s the vaccine. They, and I, are looking forward to receiving it as soon as we can (or are allowed to…).
Jennifer Hill says

To enter the “Small Magics” Give away: What am I looking forward to in 2021?
For me 2020 was stranger than any fiction I’d want to dream up. In 2021 I am looking forward to a world that is a little saner; a little calmer; and filled to the brim with all the mundane tasks we took for granted before 2020.
I’m most excited to be able to see how the world changes/adapts to the new “normal” after the vaccines are mass distributed (i.e. will corporate firms still allow work from home, etc…) I’m also super excited for a year in which I will focus on my mental health (reducing work stress, eating healthier, exercising more) and also excited to see everyone else’s growth!
Lyssa Rel says
I am looking forward to new things. Things to brighten the daily struggle. This book will be one of them. 💜
I look forward to the NEW in the new year. New chances, new changes, new opportunities, new ways of thinking and doing. And mostly New books by you two. 🙂

I’m looking forward to a few good books (Blood Heir, Rythm of War); a return to being able to see people in the second half of the year; maybe a job. I’m actually quite optimistic about the political situation for 2021.
Most of all, I’m most looking forward to not being in limbo anymore so that I have the spoons (mental capacity) to live life to the fullest again. Even if that means that I won’t finish AC Valhalla.
I’m looking forward to the end of the limitations from Covid. I can’t wait for my kids to go to school, see our friends and family, to go places like museums, and to go out for brunch with my friends. I love that I’ve reconnected with old friends and continue to look forward to our weekly Zoom.
Finally get to emigrate my husband this year

Good post, here is my entry for the Small Magics book, hope you had a great holiday, i certainly did.
I am most looking forwards to new books to read! I don’t necessarily love people (in general), but the characters in my favorite books are a different case entirely!
Jolene Jensen says
What I’m looking forward to most is seeing my family again. They live out of state and we just don’t want to risk each other’s health. My children are seriously missing their cousins. I would love for them to be able to hang out instead of just being a voice over a phone.
Kathryn Jones says
I’m looking forward to being able to spend more time with family and actually be able to hug them! I have a multitude of nieces and nephews and it’s hard not to be able to see them.
As everyone else “NO MORE LOCK DOWNS and NO MORE CORONIE V.”and lets add in “MASKS” (They do have one good to them, you can talk to yourself while shopping and no one thinks you are crazy).

I am most looking forward to resuming having the usual weekly coffee and natter with my SiL, I miss her so much, chatting at a distance with our respective husbands present is not the same – apart from anything else we can’t have shared grumbles about them!
What am I looking forward to in 2021? Taking control of my life again. Reading and knitting more. And never, ever hearing again how many people have died today. Because really, does that information help anyone in any way?
Jenn Lin says
I’m looking forward to most is HOPEFULLY having my wedding in May!
If not that, then the chance to see my husband more than just twice this year 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. (He took a job overseas, we signed the papers at the courthouse before he left and planned to have the big to-do once he got situated… Then COVID)
In 2021 I want nothing more than to see and hug my kids and my granddaughter on a regular basis and to do so without masks and distance and meeting outside when the temperature is 18 degrees! Thanks for your books, re-reading them has been a huge help this year 🙂
What I look forward to this year is going out and this book. I literally can’t wait to read it. Haven’t been that excited for a book in a long time.
The thing I’m most looking forward to in 2021 is some peace. I’m hopeful that after everything in 2020, I and my fellow humans can let our shoulders relax and give each other some time and kindness.
After finishing my undergrad degree in the midst of the pandemic, I’m looking forward to starting and finishing my master’s program this year:)

For Ilona and the other knitting enthusiasts in the BDH, have you encountered Mad Scientist Yarns? (https://madscientistyarns.com/) It’s run by two UK scientists who think yarn-dying is a more creative outlet for their training than contract labwork. A portion of every sale goes to charity. It’s my sister ‘s favorite yarn store, and she’s promised me socks knitted in whatever MSY color I choose. Happy New Year.
We’ve been saving up for our dream gaming computer for 2 years now. Next month, we can finally order everything to assemble it! I’m so excited!
I’m looking forward to more Hidden Legacy books in 2021! Catalina and Allesandro need a fitting end!

The release of BH was a HUGE boost to get through the end of 2020! I’m hopeful that 2021 will show some improvements on political and medical fronts for the nation!
Brit Repic says
I had many hopes for 2020, and due to the COVID fiasco… all that I was looking forward to and hoping for has now been shifted to this year. The only difference are the various books that I’m looking forward to releasing, to include Blood Heir. I’m looking forward to seeing my family, and some friends, for the first time in about four or five years. My grandfather especially. He’s had health issues, which have ended up with him getting half of his foot amputated and some complications spiraled from that due to him having diabetes.
I look forward to meeting my biological father, and his side of the family, in person for the first time in my 30 years.
I look forward to taking my child indoor skydiving for the first time, trying to get him to take crafting lessons with me, and helping him find more friends to play with since the few he has are moving shortly.
I look forward to figuring out how to finally go to college now that I’ve found a carrier field that I can get passionate about.
I look forward to fixing what broke on our house in 2020 and improving upon it.
I look forward to spending another year with my marvelous husband.
I hope that we all can find some sort of new normal, and all those things can happen. I hope that everyone else can achieve what they wish as well.
Also, thank you Ilona and Gordon. Your novels have been a welcome escape when things have gotten overwhelming, and I look forward to reading -whatever- y’all decide to gift us with. You both are one of the handful of authors that I will buy books from without needing to read the synopsis of the story to know that I will love what I’m reading.
Kelly Johnson says
I’m looking forward to seeing my grandparents. They are 91 & 93. I know I’m really lucky to still have them! Because of this dang virus, I’ve been afraid to go see them (3.5 hours away). I’m hopeful that they will be able to get the vaccine and then I can go.
Can’t wait to read Blood Heir!!

What I’m most looking forward to about 2021 is the hope that till summer it will possible to meet friends again, to get forward with my study of geology and a lot of great books.
For me it is smaller things I am looking forward to in 2021:
* To see my family again after month on month apart. Covid made it impossible for Christmas, but I have hope for Easter.
* Amber hunting with a friend. There is just something about going to the beach in the dark with UV light.
* The book club meeting again, so we can share some wine and a lot of laughter.
* New books coming out!
I’m most looking forward to becoming a grandma in July! And of course Blood Heir. So excited for this book.
Lael W says
Being able to slowly peruse a bookstore (without a face covering) is one of the things I’m most excited about for 2021. I didn’t realize how much I took that for granted- I hate buying stuff online. Additionally I’m excited for in-person book clubs with lots of snacks! Thank you for all your Julie chapters this past year – they were one of the few things that got me excited during dreary days.
Barbara Kuhl says
Looking forward to hugging my 86 year old mother again…We are currently in lock down here in Ontario Canada…I haven’t seen my Mom in months due to covid and restrictions here….2021 can only be better *fingers crossed*
Patsy Jane Gale says
I have read and own all the books in your several series. From the start, you had me as an avid reader. I am 86 years old and have been reading sci-fi, fantasy for 70.Thank you for all the fun I have had reading your books and enjoying your graphics!
So without reading everyone else’s comments, I’m going to guess that I’m probably echoing everyone else when I say that, in 2021, I’m most looking forward to loosing myself in new stories from favourite authors and revisiting characters that feel like old friends 🙂
Luckily a lot of my favourites authors are due to release books throughout the year. Which I’m forever grateful for, as I suspect that these books will end up being drops of sanity, during what is likely going to be a continuation of a turbulent 2020 before we reach anything resembling a calm in the storm.
Opps forgot to say what i am looking forward to. At my age, waking up tomorrow is a big plus. Looking forward to lots of trips on city bus after i get my vaccine, i have been rigorous about isolating and stayin home in my tiny damn apartment and it is Shirley closing in on me, tighter and tighter, day after day, groundhog day syndrom in a hugely way.
Dianna Gibbs says
My husband and I have been isolating since March 2020. I’m so looking forward to actually seeing my extended family face to face. I look forward to going thru stores, shopping for groceries, people watching and just being out in public. I look forward to going to the ocean, vacations and traveling. I will love sitting down with a friend and drinking coffee together along with conversation that is meaningful. I’m going to really enjoy going out to eat and not having to fix dinner.
I just need Blood heir, only this and nothing more. I mean… I’d love to win the Small magics giveaway. I’ve been checking the book out for a while and can’t buy it since it’s pretty expensive in my currency c.c
Looking forward to seeing my Mom in 2021. It’s a 12+ hour plane ride and I usually visit once a year, but we all know how 2020 went. Crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to visit by the fall.
Alexandra Groß says
Hello everyone, I would really love to have an edition of Small Magics! The pictures are beautiful !!!
For 2021 I’m waiting for Blood heir, that’s for sure!

Nes Lara says
Congratulations on the book release!
And… What I’m looking forward most in 2021 is being able to hug my parents and in-laws, that’s good to begin with.
Laura K. says
I am looking forward to reading new books (especially ones from you) and am hopeful that things can start returning to normal with the vaccine.
I’m looking forward to being in person with my hundreds of elementary school children as soon as it’s safe. We’ve been virtual and as a music teacher, teaching online is just dreadful. I want to see them and hug them and dance and sing out loud and play instruments with them and listen to their stories. Can’t wait.
I’m excited about all the upcoming book releases and looking forward to a potential career switch ::crosses fingers::.
Christina Hammermeister says
Good luck with the career change!
Louise Corona says
Looking forward to getting back to the library. Thank goodness I like ebooks.
Yay giveaway!!! The thing I’m looking forward to most this year is allowing myself a chance to take better care of my health, mentally and physically. While I don’t do resolutions, I do want to start treating myself better than I have been the past year or two. That means going to the doctor for physical ailments and setting up a meeting with a psychiatrist because I’ve decided I shouldn’t ignore things anymore. So yeah, hope everyone else takes a similar approach that is able! Happy 2021. May the Gods/Universe/Alien Overlords smile down upon us all.
I am looking forward to planning a trip for when the pandemic is finally over.
Stephanie Christensen says
I have vowed to make 2021 my Adventure Year…..I’m purchasing an RV and going out to see my bucket list states while travel nursing!
Already bought an ebook, paperback and signed paperback copy. Will get the audio version when it’s released. Your novels have helped me get through this shitshow of 2020 (I have read/listened to them all at least 3x each…) and am hopeful that we can keep going strong for 2021 – there are good things to come dammit! My goal is that my family and I stay sane, healthy and hopefully a bit more prosperous than before.
(Oh, and as I am a librarian, I already made sure we purchased multiple copies and will spread the word. Like a librarian should do!)

Looking forward to connecting more with friends and family. 2020 showed me that even though we might live far apart, it’s surprisingly easy to connect.
I am most looking forward to In 2021 reading new books (thanks for giving me a reason to be so excited in Jan), and fingers crossed going to Ireland in Sep with my sister (25th birthday) and cousin.
Also I would love to go back to my office for work…I’m ready to no longer be sitting at my kitchen table.

I’m looking forward to my baby brothers wedding – which will hopefully still take place in September. They had to postpone it from November due to the pandemic.
Fabulous giveaway. Congrats on your upcoming release. Can’t wait to read it 😍☺️
My husband and I help run a small gaming convention that had to be cancelled last summer; I’m hopeful that this year we may be able to hold it, and looking forward to seeing friends and our comunity if it is safe to do so by summer.
I am looking forward to the vaccine. I’m hoping that my husband and I will be able to go on our mini vacation for our Anniversary. But it is dependent on the vaccine and outcome.
P.S. I decided to teach my self to knit because of reading your blog posts about it. I’ve only made a very simple scarf and not very well made 🤣 but I am enjoying it! My children are excited for me to make them scarfs. 😊
My hope for 2021 is less uncertainty and more stability. A bit less turmoil and a bit more peace would be nice too.
I’m most looking forward to meeting my baby girl! And finally graduating my Master’s program!
Meredith Tournay says
I have to admit that Blood Heir is right up there with the thinks that I’m looking forward to this year. Second maybe only to getting the vaccine!
I am of course looking forward to ALL THE BOOKZ! But I’m also looking forward to the vaccination and to teaching my kid to drive.
What I am most looking forward to in 2021 is my husband returning home safe after serving our country. That first hug makes everything right with the world.

Looking forward to traveling and hugging/kissing/seeing family again.
I don’t know that I’m really looking forward to anything quite yet. Mostly I’m still cautiously waiting for things to quiet down and for us to be able to travel again before I really start looking forward and planning things.
I’m most looking forward to new opportunities in 2021. I’ve got some projects I’ve been working that I hope to finish, a new relationship and of course the new book in the Kate Daniels’ world! I reread this series at least once a year, so a new book it’s super exciting!
Being one of the fortunate residents of New Zealand, I’m looking forward to a month of travel around the country in our old and slow RV named (depending on how we feel) Ngāta Ara, Chateau Escargot, or Schnecke.
Looking forward to seeing family again, after not being able to see them for most of 2020.

2021 is here already.. New years always give me anxiety knowing that there is always some underlying expectation to be better or do better than all the years before. For me, I am looking forward to managing my PPD and better mental health
I’m looking forward to getting married to my partner through everything, buying a house together, and getting my 2nd COVID vaccine.
Brianna Whitman says
A lot of people have said it, but I am also looking forward to finally graduating in 2021. It’s been a long ride, but I’ll finally have my doctorate. I’m excited to enter the workforce and do something new. Academia can be such a drain after a while. There are other things I’m looking forward to, but after being so excited for 2020, I’m trying to shelter my little ’21 happy bubble.
In 2021 I’m looking forward to COVID testing volume going down.
David Kay says
I hope that 2021 will be a great, prosperous year for new writers who are following their dreams.

Being able to do stuff with my Mom. She’s in a care facility. We did outdoor visits for a while in the summer, before everything went bad again. But I haven’t been able to take her out to lunch, or any of the other things we do together.
I’m looking forward to wonderful new books in 2021 and hopefully things getting a little bit closer to normal.
I’m just looking forward to it (hopefully!) being a better year for everyone than last year. And all the new books coming out. So excited for Blood Heir!!

Rita B. says
The end of the fear, of each other and the danger we may inadvertently pose to others. The ability to hug and shake hands again. The joy of smiling and laughing without a barrier or distance.
What I am looking most forward to in 2021 is hopefully some global healing.
I live in New Zealand and we are basically at normality again with no spread of Covid-19 and have been for a while but the news around the world is heart breaking not just concerning covid but conflicts that are causing mass displacment, human rights violations and horrible atrocities like those in Ethiopia and Yemen and the escalating global migrant crisis. So yeah hopefully 2021 will see some global healing happen and i really hope my government is going to step up, considering the privileged position we are in in regards to our covid response, and contribute to that healing.
So yeah will be advocating for increasing the national refugee quota and providing aid to groups like Open Arms who are trying to save people that most governments have decided to ignore in what I consider to be one of the largest examples of global apathy of our time.
Lol sorry if that was intense haha

I am looking forward to seeing my whole family in one place at one time.
Am at a year and counting since I last saw my mum. I am looking forward to when I can safely travel back to see her – and maybe even give her a hug! Escaping into great books is a nice way to spend time.

Well, my initial thought about 2021, was that I was looking forward to no more trump but then who knows if that will happen, same with end of virus. I guess that I am, not so much looking forward to but hoping for, more love and less hate in this country I love.
The thing I’m looking forward to the most in 2021 is meeting a friend I made through the Ilona Andrews Facebook group in the summer. We bonded over our love of all things House Andrews and cooking (okay eating 😂) and she’s now my best friend! Having a friend like her has made lockdown so much easier, and I can’t wait to meet in person, eat good food and drink some cocktails 🍹
Looking forward to new books to read and hopefully being able to travel to a book convention or two
My hope for 2021 is to be able to safely take a vacation that isn’t just staying at home. I also look forward to being able to continue to watch my toddler grow. It’s amazing to see how quickly they change.

+1 on the new books and good luck with the remodelling.
What I’m looking forward to in 2021 is getting a new job! I was retrenched at the start of 2020 with the first lockdown and it’s been a ROUGH 10 months to say the least but I’m so thankful that I made it and positive 2021 will only get better ❤❤
Tamara Harvey says
I’m looking forward to book releases with kick-ass heroines! I’m also looking forward to healing and being healthy. In October 2020 I became perilously ill, but after three major surgeries and seven IR procedures, I was finally able to come home to convalesce in December. Living is so, so sweet.
P.S. I heartily recommend re-reading all the Ilona and Gordon series when one is on the mend. They are so enthralling and entertaining, and those women with their trials inspired me to never quit.
Sending you good vibrations and healing thoughts.
I am looking forward to being able to travel to see family again!
For 2021, I am hoping that the covid vaccines will become widely available, and everybody who wants to get vaccinated will be able to. So much pain and suffering in the world because of the pandemic…

Currently we are spread over northern Europe, The West Coast of the States and Central America and we none of us can travel and get physically together! My mother just turned 85(in a care facility in California) and I haven’t seen her in 18 months… I rally want to visit her and other loved ones! 🙂

I’m counting down the days to Blood Heir! I am so excited to read this next chapter in the Kate Daniels world!

I am hoping that we see a return to civility in 2020 in our social discourse. We are on the right track now for the vaccine so hopefully we can resume our normal lives. I have been listening to Eva Cassidy’s Blue Skies over and over to set my mood. Thank you for your books. I had my husband read all the Inn Keepers and Hidden Legacy in 2020. Next on my list for my re-read and for him is Kate Daniels.

What I am most looking forward in 2021…..travelling. Every year I attend an International Women’s Conference in March.
