About 1M gallons of sewage discharged into San Marcos River Feb. 18. Good news, our communal well is more than a mile away, so we don’t have to boil water again.
Those Florida hurricanes are looking pretty good. Hehe.
Last night 11:20 pm. I’m very tired. The real estate market in Austin is crazy. People are throwing money at houses and rentals. We’ve been running around for three days trying to get somewhere and failing. I’ve brushed my teeth and my hair and I’m wearing a night shirt. Dad calls on Skype, which he never does in the evening. Cue a jolt of adrenaline. I grab my iPad.
Me: Yes, dad, I’m here, what’s the emergency?
Dad: No emergency. I missed you.
Me: It’s 11:30 at night.
Dad in his measured voice: It’s 11:22 where you are.
Me, squinting at the office behind him: …Are you at work?
Me: Did you get bored at work and decide to call me in the middle of the night?
Dad: Did I tell you your brother bought a new infotainment system for his car and wanted me to install it…?
