There are no sequels planned for Alphas. Not at this time.
There are no sequels planned for Kinsmen. Not at this time. If you liked Kinsmen, try Hidden Legacy. It’s very similar except with magic instead of science.
There are no sequels planned for the Edge.
There are no sequels planned for Kozlov universe.

Tink says
I thought you mentioned something about the Kinsmen before. Or was that just re-releasing the books after you get the rights back?
Tink says
Sorry, I might be thinking of the wrong thing with Kinsmen. Whichever series the Silver Shark belongs to.
Laura says
Wow, you answered a question running through my mind – you must have superpowers. Or other readers are also wondering what happened to their favourite characters! I can almost see myself as the teen in A Fault in Our Stars trying to track you and Gordon down…. no I wouldn’t do that, it’d be too mean, and neither of you is like the JD Salinger-like character! Sometimes it’s better not to know. E.M. Forester had an afterward to A Room With a View, and it basically ruined my vision of what happened to the characters.
wont says
Nice clean sweeping there….sorry couldn’t resist. But, I’m thrilled at what you didn’t say. Life is good.
Ms. Kim dEBois says
Since the Edge has morphed/transitioned (hmm) into Innkeeper, I’m perfectly ok with no more Edge. And I kind of thought Swine and Roses, Kinsmen, Hidden Legacy was a natural transition (there’s that word again, more appropriate here).

I’m envious! I could give you mine…it has approx 6000 emails, but only 31 new ones. I guess I should go back to working on them, but couldn’t resist the “Check the blog” urge.
The BDH may never be content, but we have enough wonderfulness to keep us sated for a while. You guys are the best!
Vinity says
🙂 Thanks for the info. We were just discussing this elsewhere.

I’m kinda sad that there will be no more Alphas. I liked how it was so different. But I know you guys are crazy busy and I am so glad White Hot is only 2 weeks away!!!!
Andrea Smith says
I liked it too. I believe there were complaints of it being too dark or off brand. But let’s face it, us readers just love a new book from the Ilona and Gordon.
Rena says
IMO you have enough series going on as is without adding more to your plate. Yes, I loved the other series, but realistically there is only so much time and effort that the two of you can put into feeding our book reading appetites. Since you are well above the 1-2 books that I get from a couple of other favored authors a year, I am thrilled with what you put out. Especially with the quality that goes into everything that you write.
PS. I read my 1st Devon Monk book yesterday “House of Immortality” and it rocked. Now I will have to go buy all of her other stuff. Thanks for the recommendation.
sarafina says
The Immortality series is good, but she also has a ‘Magic’ series with Allie Beckstrom that has more books and is very good, imo.
Rena says
That is next. I have 30 pages left in the 2nd Immortality book, so I will finish it at work tonight. Hit the 3rd tomorrow and Sat, then start with a new series Sunday.
Kirsten says
Well does that mean that there is potential for some new series/book worlds since is seem like a lot of the current character’s stories are drawing to a close. 😉 I think they mentioned that they where looking into new story ideas. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
Cindy M. says
I really liked Silver Shark (but, then I love pretty much everything you write) and would have loved to have a sequel but I totally understand that there are only so many hours in the day.
Patience says
Clean inbox: Yaaaaayyyyy!!!!
I can’t wait to see what Magic you have to show us in the future.

I live for the “yet.”

What is a Kozlov? I somehow missed that one and desperately need to read it.
Alex R. says
Yup. Must find Kozlov
Alex R. says
Oh, ok. The two novelettes. Got them.
Jane says
What are they?
Caroline says
“Questing Beast” (2010) and “A Mere Formality” (2011).

Disappointed about Alphas. I was really curious about how things would turn out. Sigh. Oh well life is tough and then you read…
Arijo says
I like the “Not at this time”, especially for Alphas 😉 I admit I’m happier with new worlds, and the thrill of new characters meeting their match. That said, I just love your writing and am happy with what you decide to write.
Melissa B says
I’m drawing a blank on Alphas. What is the full title or what anthology book is it in? I’m not sleeping much as my husband and I are watching several episodes of Longmire at night and then back up at 6:15 to get the kids up for school. Someone also told me to watch the OA series on Netflix too. Cheers!
Ama says
She is referring to Alphas: Origins. I almost think it is where they first were working on Alpha male characters. It is short story/novella length. I think it first appeared in Dark Angels anthology and is now sold separate. It is a very raw alpha male love story.
The first time I read it and didn’t know if I even liked it, but then it haunted me and I had to go find it again and read it all over.
Definitely a less smooth (hence adjective raw) story then Kate makes me think Gordon was the heavy lifter on that one. Not criticizing Gordon’s writing here. That would be dumb. Cause they are awesome. Just saying there is a difference between their styles and Gordon’s seems to be more upfront and in your face much like Rogan’s POV.
By the By…I will wait patiently on pins in needles forever for a sequel. : )
charisN says
Couldn’t you keep the Kozlov universe on a backburner? Sort of a backup plan D? I so liked the way it worked.
strangejoyce says
Well done! I forget who said something along the lines of “always leave them wanting more”. Or more to the point, if it ain’t broke right now don’t fix it.
But It”s like the tides on the seashore, your writings are pieces of treasures to be discovered and hoarded. Since we are the BDH, we’ll always want more and MORE and will never be truly satisfied. We’re so very greedy! And very, very spoiled! *giggle-snort*

I’m just glad that Kinsman got a “not at this time” I <3 those novellas so much and I want to know so MUCH MORE about that world. Here is hoping you guys get some ideas for that world and go back to it some day.
I made the mistake of picking up Burn for Me to re-read before White Hot comes out and *wails* I finished it too fast….. Now I have to wait TWO WEEKS. *starts pacing*
Frances says
@ J. Berry , like you ( and probably every other member of the BDH) , I noticed the “not at this time” in the same paragraph as ” Kinsmen” and thought that we can still hope . I love those two novellas and hope one day to be able to buy them together as a dead tree copy.
To avoid finishing the 4th? 5th ? re-read of Burn for Me with still 2 weeks to wait I re- read Patricia Briggs’ Mercy Thompson series from start to finish. ( Last month she attended Supernova at the Gold Coast Australia and generously signed all my books. What a lovely person and a real IA fan. She too is waiting impatiently for White Hot to be released.)
Then I noticed in her acknowledgments that Anne Sowards is her editor , thought I recognised her name in conjunction with our Authorlords , so hunted down an interview with her about how she became an editor, which authors she edits ( and yes she edits the Kate Daniels books). She loves military sci fi and edits a series called the Lost Fleet by Jack Campbell so now I am halfway across enemy space with the remains of the fleet trying to outwit the enemy and get home. Character exposition is a bit lacking, dialogue can be a bit clunky, not much romance but the battle scenes and strategy is well done and absorbing so I am planning to get back into Alliance space in time to do a final reread of BFM in time for Tuesday 30th.

I thought you were talking about your coping mechanism for waiting 12 more days for White Hot.
Mercy says
I wasn’t going to ask because without confirmation of such things a girl can dream unimpeded.

Almost had a stroke reading the “no more in these series list”. Fortunately! I realised in time that Derek and Julie are in a new series not mentioned. Whew! ‘Cause, if they don’t make, it I’m not sureI will!!
Lisa M says
Maybe one day you’ll publish an anthology with little shorts and snippets from all your worlds. That would be really neat. Not asking really, just seems like it might be something interesting to do sometime in the future. As busy as you guys are, I imagine it might be a few years from now before you would even have time to think about something like this.

Dear author-lords,
Love and have all your books. Making time with other authors till May 28, when I will reread “burn for me”, followed by Rogans POV to seque seamlessly into “White Hot”. Unfortunately I live on a different continent, so “meets and greets” are out of my reach and I have to be content with your blog. Special thanks for that: time and effort and caring for/about your readers.
Since it has been a few days since the last update I hope that your longing f or a face plant was the result of allergies and nothing more serious. Have you tried lasagna? It always seemed to work for Garfield.
Otherwise best wishes and speedy recovery.
Love all? When I bought “Alphas” – because it was written by Ilona Andrews – I was disappointed when I read it. It reads like a hurried draft with only a few scenes fully developed – I checked your website and was relieved when I could find no mention of the book: someone had stolen your name! But than it was the last title listed in the overview of your publications in the latest Kate Daniels book. So in your copious (ha!) free time could you consider going back to it to lift it up to your usual standard?
And because the amount of space for praise and complaint is just wrong here, let me repeat myself: terrific books with interesting story lines, lots of humour, action, crazy ideas, “real” people – even if some of them go furry – and a style of writing that has me and my husband! hoping for more and more and more.
Kate M says
Okay. But!? Okay.
Sad about Alphas. It was so unique that I find its scenes floating across my mind unrequested as I go about my “normal” life. I am excited to see what is next tho. Whatever you guys write, I will read.
