catlover says
Excellent book! Definitely lived up to my expectations and so many surprises. Very satisfying. Enjoy your tour.
Faith says
Happy Book Birthday! Reading it now, love it so far! Thank you!!
Theresa Orr says
White Hot is wonderful, thank you Authorlords!!!!
Patricia Schlorke says
Have it downloaded to my Nook. Have to work so I have to wait to read the book until tonight.
Patricia Schlorke says
Started reading White Hot after I got back from doing some running around after work. Still love Grandma Frida. I’m reading chapter 2, and already I’m saying “holy crap!”. Fate is very fickle…I don’t want to give more away to those who haven’t read the book yet. To those of the BDH who have read the book, you know what I’m saying. ?
Maria says
White hot is wonderful!
Margaret says
About half way through! Darn work!
Margaret says
Just finished (while a huge thunderstorm rages outside – very atmospheric). Fantastic story, excellent character development and I can’t wait to read the next installment. I suspect the Baylor family and their P.I. firm will provide many fascinating stories. P.S. Rogan is a sexy beast but I think I’m crushing on Cornelius myself !
Thanks guys as always.
Madita says
Loved the book!! Thank you very much!!!
Sue says
I am jealous of you all! I ordered mine but it won’t arrive until June 1!!! So hard to wait!!
nickole195 says
mine won’t be here until June 5 arghhhhhhh
rdk says
Another Happy Book Birthday! No doubt that the newly born book is well on its way to universal love and success. Thank you and congratulations to the very talented parents!
Fera says
Greetings from Indonesia! I’ve just finished reading White Hot for the second time today. Love it sooo much! So many epic and touching moments that tugged my heart. Michael Latimer also stole some spotlight, I have a little hunch that he might feature as one of the male lead if the Hidden Legacy stories continued on after Wildfire. Will we travel to Europe along with him then? *wink wink*
Ann says
White Hot is really good. But where is the rest of the story? Death by suspense and waiting. August be here already.
Fera says
I checked and good news is, it’s not August but July 25th when Wildfire will be released!!! *squeaaaaaals*
Brooke says
OMG! OMG! OMG! I love White Hot! Thank you so much for it. *pout* But now I can’t wait for Wildfire to come out. The countdown starts again. ;D
Teresa Hughes says
Read the book until 3:30 am this morning and finished it before going to work. It is awesome! Thank you for all your hard work and effort to bring your readers such fun. Good luck on the tour
charisN says
so hard to concentrate after staying up all night reading White Hot. not surprisingly it made for a much better work day. This book is so AWESOME!
Pamg says
Finished the book at 6:00AM (bless you Amazon), all hail the author lords.
C’mon July!
Janette says
Stayed up to read it. Slept. Now going to read it again. Thank you.
Sleepy says
Had to skip my first day of work due to fever and coughing… Looking forward to White Hot to make my day better when I can manage to keep my eyes open for a longer time 😀
Laurie says
I just finished the book and I loved it! I’m going to work but then I’m going in for round two!
Anjuli says
Yay, book release day! Congratulations. I cannot wait to start the book. I ordered the book from Fox Tale bookstore so I could get a personalized, signed copy. I didn’t know I could do that but, the lady on the phone was nice. I cannot wait to get it. Thank you!
Nancy C. says
Happy Book Release Day ! ! ! ! !
Just bought my Kindle copy. I am really looking forward to reading all the words this evening 🙂
I am sure everyone at the Atlanta event is going to have a great time.
ReneeG says
Another faithful reader who stayed up late to read the fabulous White Hot! Love how Connor is developing – so delicious!
Thank you!
tuch says
woke up at 3a and thought i’ll just read a little… never made it back to sleep. awesome book!
Eli says
I wish it was July – LOVED the epilogue and glimpse of POV
Tink says
Hey, Pixar, here’s a title for a new animated movie — “Ninja Ferret Heist”. 😛
Samantha says
?
kelticat says
I was describing the book to my sister and now I have to get dead tree version because she wants to read about ninja ferrets. And refuses to use a Nook or similar device.
Patricia Schlorke says
I’m going to make a pun here: Rats!
Faith says
Of course I googled Chinese ferret badger. They are like fatter fluffier ferrets. So cute!!!
Tink says
I Googled it, too. They are cute.
kitkat9000 says
Congratulations! And thank you so much for another great book.
I copied this @ 2:42pm. I expect it to go higher still.

This book was so worth the wait. Thank you so much. It feels like the price of the book is hardly fair compensation for your work, but if only I can get you to understand how marvelous you are, you may be compensated with gratitude as well.
Vala says
Got my copy at midnight, stayed up most of the night reading, so good is insane! So glad we don’t have to wait ashes to find out what happens!
Rachel says
I live too far in the middle of no-where to make it to an appearance, but I’ll be heading out after work today to buy White Hot! SO glad it’s a paperback release so I don’t have to wait a year 😀
TDS says
Four words: The ferrets were amazing. Also adorable.
JO says
Yes! Small tooth! Dryer! Raisins! Also, the whole rest of the book was amazing. I liked when Kate gave Curran the “I felt this small” speech, and I liked it here, too.
Susan says
Loved it! You just get better with each book!
Patience says
Halfway through. It’s just so good, I can hardly stand it!
Roberta says
Happy book birthday! Downloaded as soon as Amazon let me and loved it. I think I’ll read it again and savour it this time!
Friday says
Loved White Hot, stayed up till 4am to finish it. Many thanks from New Zealand.
Kelly Jacobs says
White Hot is such a satisfying story because you fully describe your characters and story.
I gave it 5 stars and my best review, to try to encourage new readers to support Ilona Andrews.
Where else can we leave you ***** kuddo reviews?
AngelMercury says
Read it all last night, couldn’t put it down. Love the growth, the excitement, the chemistry. Worth the wait!
Oona says
Oonh. This was so so good. Amazon made a nice mistake – they delivered me not one, not two but THREE books in the mail at 2 pm on Monday. And I am not sure if I got charged 3 times or not? eh. Faster than my Kindle anyway. Now, I have books to spare and gift!! Or maybe return. 🙂 But seriously I had soo soo much fun with ferrets. and R & A’s reactions on that score were … priceless. Pressure sensors. hee hee….And of course we get that tantalizing glimpse of pale yellow & red. Okay. Gotta start re-reading for details now…Thank you author lords. Now if you can just keep writing, please!
Tink says
Just looked at Amazon. White hot is number 1, 2, and 3 in different categories; #29 in Kindle store; and marked a best seller on Amazon.
Congrats to the Authorlords! (You can breathe now, Ilona.)
Patricia Schlorke says
Agree, congratulations!
Patience says
I don’t know how y’all do it. I really don’t. There really must be an alternative universe containing the world of Rogan and Nevada that you visit through the wormhole you’ve created in your backyard. I mean really, it’s the only believable scenario for a person, much less 2, to come up with such imaginative characters, settings and plots. Come on admit it, you’re really reporters writing stories ripped from the headlines of newspapers from alternate dimensions right? Right?
Bottom line: I love this series and will go into a deep, dark depression after Wildfire comes out. This and the Sweep series are my all time favorites. Thank you for sharing your stories.
Angel says
White Hot is so amazing! I lucked out and had a quiet shift so I was able to start reading when the book downloaded at 1:15am!!! Thank you! I’m definitely looking forward to the next one ?
Drew Doll says
I loved, loved, loved White Hot.
Oh, the feels!! I cried, I laughed, I cheered.
It was amazing.
As always with you all, I am on the edge of my seat to see what happens next.
Rhonda says
I loved White Hot! I downloaded it as soon as I woke up this a.m. and finished it in 2.5 hours. There was so much heat generate between Nevada and Rogan I am surprised that my tablet didn’t overheat. I found myself more awed and amazed with each chapter I read. I can’t wait to read Wildfire in July.
gracefulegg says
Took me a while but I finally finished the book and I loved it. Giggling like a maniac when reading is totally normal.
Gale D says
Just finished! Loved it, thank you. And now we wait…
charisN says
Live WHITE HOT stayed up until 3am to read. So great – but what happened to Sgt Teddy snippet? Wildfire?
Joan says
Did you read the Wildfire snippet at the end? It is actually more frustrating than the actual White Hot ending. 🙂
charisN says
Thank you. just read it. so late when I finished White Hot that I missed the snippet. yayy Sgt Teddy! counting days to July 25 and grateful it isn’t months… Best wishes for the tour. hope that its fun. don’t get carpal tunnely with all the signing. It is truly a great book.
charisN says
LOVE. darnit
Cynthia emery says
Omg!! Screeched so loud st The White Line I scared my dog. Had ferrets for 20 years. Loved them so. Wonderful they are here. Cornelius is a hot cookie!
Kara says
Thank you!
Rohaise says
Happy book birthday!!! I told myself I’d take my time and not stay up late to finish the book. Hah! The ferrets made me squee. I had ferrets for many years and can definitely see ninja ferrets stealing stuff. My Innkeepers Chronicles also arrived today (which is really yesterday) so it feels like Christmas.
Samantha says
Taking a breath from the second read now. You guys did it again! Awesome book! OMG Leon commentary! Priceless.
Bart Sears says
White Hot and the The Innkeeper Chronicles both arrived in the mail today. It doesn’t get any better.
kelticat says
Finished White Hot and loved all the animals. Cornelius reminded me of Andre Norton’s Beastmaster series (way better than the movie).
Question. Is Grandma Frida and Bern’s magic will based or arcane? Aribella’s could be classified as arcane , simply because we don’t know what she does.
Joan says
Spoilers!!!!
Re: Bern/grandma Frida, maybe mental magic could be subdivided -> will based vs logic/mech/engineering? Just speculating. Re Arabella, based on her interaction with Augustine, I’m kind of guessing she’s an illusion mage? Me, kind of wondering what Rogan meant about “dual”. Inheriting magic from both parents?
And congrats to the Authorlords! Wonderful world building and characters! Gosh, I hope they continue this series at least 2 more books! I want more from this world and its people! Heck, I want a story about Matilda when she grows up. 🙂
Joan says
Spoiler!!
Or maybe Arabella is not an illusionist but something of a morphing/shifting mage? She was so exited when she saw pretty Augustine and when he shifted to a demon, but she was also able to carry Catalina so not illusion?
kelticat says
That’s what I was thinking, but you know the authorlords. They like to surprise us with the results. Just remember the Turin Adin scene in Innkeeper when we found out he was Dread Pirate Roberts.
Samantha says
Lol
Bea says
Did anyone else hear the Mission Impossible theme when the ferrets were around 🙂
Pat says
Lol, wonder if I can get the MI theme added as background music to that scene in my audiobook? Can’t wait for wild fire release in July ?
Rena says
LOL, no, but I will when I get to that part on my 2nd read through tonight.
Ramona Hall says
A perfect accompaniment – got the book yesterday and read it last night. I could not put it down. BTW, I did check my dryer vent this morning. You know, just in case.
Alecia says
lol, I got a possum in my house last month because my dryer had slid away from the wall and left a gap in the dryer vent.
Tink says
Was he carrying a tiny screwdriver? 😛
Brenda says
The MI theme is perfect for how that scene felt! I was practically holding my breath until they finished. And I had to laugh at how it made me picture Rogan’s and Augustine’s faces. Great book, can’t wait for Wildfire!
Bea says
it’s number 7 on the kobo to 50 ebooks and number 2 on their top romance. A shame it came out the same day as the Christine Feehan book – which just does not compare in my opinion.
Rebecca C says
Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh! UPS didn’t deliver White Hot today. They’re “sorry for the delay” but now delivery could be as late as June 1. Aaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
Laurence says
Arggh, I feel for you!
Rebecca C says
It’s here! Yay!!!!! Will start it as soon as I’m home from a late afternoon appointment & will finish it before going to bed tonight. Can hardly wait!
Kelly Jacobs says
buy a kindle copy!
Gayathri says
I love it!!! White hot is awesome!!! I am only half way through…I couldn’t resist telling you this…if I didn’t have a toddler to look after I would have finished it long back…it’s worth all the waiting….
EmmaC says
Loved White Hot! Stayed up to read it and now I’m going to work feeling like my eyeballs were rubbed in sand. Still worth it.
Rena says
Yeah, I almost nodded off twice at work last night. But it was so worth it.
Joan says
So happily re-reading White Hot. I was so bummed when White Hot was delayed, now I am just very thankful that we don’t have to wait that long for Wildfire. #IWantMore
Elizabeth says
Thumbs up to that. I can’t wait. I’m already drawing speculation from the epilogue and the sample chapter of….
I wonder if he got her a (redacted) for Christmas.
I am paying more attention to the timeline though. It’s December 15th (a Thursday) for the council meeting and Rhinda says she tried to get a hold of Rogan on Friday and on Saturday and they were gone for 3 days. December 15th 2016 happens to be a Thursday, making the tracking easier… but it sorta looks like they got back on Christmas Eve.
Time will tell
Pfefferminztee says
Wild Hot is simply awesome! Thank you so much!
Pfefferminztee says
Of course, I mean “White Hot”. ?
Henry King says
Well worth the wait, but an ominous cloud is forming on the horizon. It’s name, Wild Fire. I believe this has become my favorite series. it will die too soon.
wiedźma_florentyna says
The book is awesome!
I laughed so hard.
I loved every page of it.
Just WOW.
I’ve got two questions:
1. Why the hell it’s so long till Wildfire release?!
2. Is Leon’s talent like Nevada’s mother ? I find the bits about Nevada’s familly talents a bit confusing – I’m guessing it’s going to be reveled in Wildfire…
Joan says
Spoilers!!!
Maybe Leon’s magic is related to Bern’s magic (instinct for codes/patterns) but more like instinct for statistical probabilities (the scope of which still unknown) and not necessarily hand-eye coordination like Neva’s mom? Maybe there was a purpose why it was Leon in that rubber band theory scene. Grouping the House Baylor magic, it seems like Bern/Leon, Mom/Grandma, and Catalina/Nevada/GrandmaBigBad, with Arabella coming from the left field as Nevada herself explained. 🙂
Patricia Schlorke says
Or could it be that Leon is like Bug only he knows when the assassins are coming so everyone knows where to shoot or use his/her magic on? When you read that part (I’m trying not to spoil it for those who haven’t read the book yet) in the warehouse, and then Bug’s comment to Nevada, it made me wonder about Leon.
Char says
Plus, Bad Grandma couldn’t have kids, so “she did things” to get her son. Who knows what that changed? Great books! I hope you don’t stop at three!
sarafina says
Yes, there could definitely be a few wild cards with James’ parentage.
kelticat says
How about a theory that Leon is the bastard child of a precognition prime? Nothing is ever said about Leon or Bern’s parents other than Aunt Gisele isn’t the most maternal of women.
kelticat says
And if I came too close to a plot point of a future book, Ilona and Gordon, sorry you can remove my post.
sarafina says
Need more than just one more book, imo.
AngelMercury says
Mmm, in an effort to be not spoilery for others… go back and read where Bug is talking to Nevada about it. (We need to be able to do Spoiler markouts in the comments!!)
kelticat says
Did. Twice. Spoiler alert , go look at the description of B and how he did he know to go to Nevada and Rogan near the park.
Sharon says
After the bridge shootout when they were discussing the accuracy of Nevada’s hits, Rogan says – Dual. I took that to mean a secondary magic skill. That skill appears similar to her mother’s and the two boys, and appears to come from the maternal line. The three girls have something else entirely – maybe something that Dad suppressed because of his mother’s activities (either deliberately or not). Can’t wait for the next one to get this resolved!.
Joan says
I think Nevada’s dad probably really had no magic. The prime magic of their bad grandma skipped a generation and then returned with a vengeance on the three Baylor sisters. 🙂
Alecia says
I had an interesting thought as I was waking up this morning, what if the Leon’s magic during the assault video was two talents, just discovered simultaneously. Between the video and his later “feeling” that something bad would happen to Rogan and Nevada there’s a pretty good case for precog, possibly from his father. The tactical awareness ability could be related to Penelope and Grandpa’s talents.
I could also be overthinking this… <.<
kelticat says
I think that it is a possibility.
Tink says
No, Grandma said Bern’s magic was like hers. Mom and Nevada took after Grandpa.
Rena says
Wildfire will be out in less than 2 months, that isn’t long at all. You normally wait 6 months to a year for the next book.
sarafina says
It seems like a veeerrrrrrryyyyyy long 2 months.
Samantha says
?
wiedźma_florentyna says
Oh, I know it’s not that long for Publisher. And They probably have all those statistics on how much time between books makes them sell best and so on…
But the point of view depends on where You stand and it’s two months of torturous waiting for me.
Alecia says
I’m wondering if Nevada explained what was discovered off camera to Leon or if it’s still waiting for Wildfire? I want to see the conversation, even if it’s in a POV. I really felt for him in the scene about the rubber band theory, and I want to see the moment he learns about his magic
Joan says
Me too, but on re-read, I felt really sorry for him when they were having breakfast after you know what happened in the warehouse. He was all excited about overlord Rogan, wanting to have guns and his brother and cousins were all going shut up on him. Yea he was a bit irritating on that scene but having read the story and finally knowing all the magics of the other three, I kind of feel sorry for Leon there in retrospect.
Alecia says
Yeah, I can kind-of see that. I saw it more as the family trying to give him, as well as each other and Matilda, a sense of normality after everything that had happened. Penelope did promise to take him to the firing range and train him with the guns, so it’s probably just a matter of time until he get one.
…Well, time and demonstration of appropriate skill and maturity.
Alecia says
*gets*
(apparently my grammar sucks today)
Jeanine says
Ohhhhhhh, mysterious bloodlines and new magics in the Baylor household. The possibilities are sure to make wildfire spectacular! Can. Not. Wait.
Teresa Cooch says
Yaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy! I loved it. Go House Baylor.???????
Ange in Oz says
So many comments and speculations I want to make but I don’t want to be spoilery.
I loved, loved, loved it.
And… GAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Too long to wait until Wildfire! Even though we are spoilt and it is only a few months
Please, authorlords, may we, your humble book devouring horde, have more books after Wildfire? The sisters and cousins? Augustine too? Anyone else in this world we’ve had an intriguing glimpse at?
Even though we know we will need to wait until after Hugh’s book and KD10.
Please, please, please.
Elizabeth says
I’d like to meet the girl to woo augustine.
I do hope Lina didn’t get fired for her safety. I like her. She’s a good secondary
reeder says
(Channeling Grandma) “Pancakes needs some Syrup.”
Johanna Ehrhardt says
I loved ‘White Hot’. I would have paid more for it, than the roughly 5 € (for an eBook) I was asked to. You put so much effort and thought into it, that it seems somehow disrespectful to simply enjoy every line without giving back anything of equal value.
Yesterday, I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours. I didn’t mind one bit…
Merrylass says
Wonderful book – thank you for another great read! I’m curious if Caesar has the initials “L.D.” ?!? Loved all the animals in the book.
Madita says
Haha, I thought the exact same thing at first and then I was wondering, maybe just someone from D House. I mean, family gives motive and all that.
Joan says
House D? There is one L. that popped in my mind when Caesar was being described, but kind of out there. I mean it would be, nvm.
Alecia says
I thought of the person who was introduced in the beginning with initials L.D. too. I would be a lot of irony and he fits what is described about this “New Caesar.” It’s an interesting thought, at least.
FXCINA says
Actually, I think the key phrase is ‘beyond reproach’. I go for LJ.
Wonderful book. Please write more in this universe.
Madita says
I don’t want it to be her. But that would definetely impact Nevada, so it wouldn’t be a bad choice.
Rae says
I got no sleep last night but it was worth it. I love everyone.
Rose says
I stayed up until 2am, it was so worth it.
Joy says
I cannot express how satisfied I am after finishing White Hot, and how glad I am I only have to wait two months until the next book. I love how Rogan finally finds out Nevada thinks he’s a dragon. And getting to see Catalina’s talent. And all the Baylor family secrets that are revealed, and how Nevada deals with them. And Nevada and Rogan’s developing relationship (sigh and swoon). I loved it all.
Deb says
Just finished! Great book. Can’t wait until August for the next one.
Patricia Schlorke says
House Rogan + House Baylor = watch out Houston Primes. More wedding dress pictures anyone? I really appreciated Rogan’s self-sacrificing speech about Primes needing to look for magic compatibility, but he’s so gone for Nevada that he should just forget he said that. Just think House Rogan would become more powerful than it is now when (I’m being positive) he marries Nevada.
Take that Augustine!
Claudia says
WELL AUTHORLORDS YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN!!!! SUPER DELICIOUS!!! I GOBBLED UP “WHITE HOT” IN ONE SITTING. NO ONE IS BETTER!!!! AND THANK YOU RENEE RAUDMAN FOR YOUR EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE
Samantha says
? ditto
Janessa says
Omg, so worth the wait!
the Ferrets! The Ferrets! I’m actually imagining Chris Pratts as Cornelius but instead of dinosaurs but with Ferrets. ?
Travin says
Wanted to say I loved white hot so glad only have to wait a few months for the next. Thank you author lords.
Miriam says
Thank you for a fabulous story! OK, just assume that everything here has a giant exclamation mark! “White Hot” is just right. It was a joy to read, comfortable and fun, touching and stressful. So many good lines, funny, happy, sad, angry, the great quips and comments, so many great scenes, villainous villains, great new characters and great character development I liked seeing more of Bug, and Cornelius developed nicely. I don’t think I can pick a favorite part (good thing I don’t have to). Who else but Ilona Andrews could come up with Leon’s narration and the reactions to it? Who else could come up with ‘”To be accurate, two ferrets and one ferret-badger,” Rogan said.’ I just keep remembering more and more of them. Then the great hunk of “Wildfire.” Two months to go. Oh, and I never suspected what was in the bags.
Tiffany says
Any chance of ever coming to Nebraska to do a signing?
I think the closest signing in the appearances listed is more than 10 hours away.
🙁
