Jeaniene Frost has a free serial running. It’s the story of Cat and Bones meeting written from Bones point of view. And you can read it right now.
Ever wondered what Bones was thinking and feeling when he and Cat first met? Or how their story might differ if he were the one telling it? Read the free, partial serial THE OTHER HALF OF THE GRAVE to find out!

These chapters from Bones’ POV are FANTASTIC!!! I absolutely love it!!! I laughed through each one. Cat and Bones are my favorite funny vamps. I truly hope these come out in e-reader format once completed. That is one book I would still purchase even if I had read the entire list of chapters online.:D

This was a great series. And I have been reading the Bones POV. So much fun.
I sort of miss the weekly innkeeper . This is a wonderful, different story , but it sorts of fits the bill.
Need to read Jeaniene Frost’s Cat and Bones saga again. Miss them.

Soooo I really thought this was fanfiction for the show Bones lololol. Because the picture looked like David Boreanaz’s profile and Emily Deschanel’s character went by the nickname Bones! I was so confused hahaha. But I’ll have to maybe pick this up and figure out how it is way different from the show.

Neat! I haven’t read “Cat and Bones” yet, but this makes it more tempting to do so. 🙂 It’s always fascinating to me to compare two characters’ POVs of the same scenes, whether in a romantic context or not. The same scene can read so very differently experienced by another character, and sometimes become much more poignant or hilarious depending on what kind of new information is presented. Also, in a romantic story it’s always nice to get some insight into what the male love interest was thinking all along; when and why he fell in love with the heroine.
So this is definitely something I’d like to see more, but I imagine it’s difficult for authors to pull off in one book. Repeated scenes fit more easily into sequels or side stories.
However, I once read a variant of this that was pretty unique. Maria Gripe’s book “The Land Beyond” was originally written in 1967 after the author had a series of dreams she felt compelled to turn into a story. But she wasn’t completely satisfied with the result. So twenty years later, she re-released the book where the story was now told in two versions: the original one where the narrator describes the story “as it was told to me when I was a child” and the newer version where the narrator describes the story “as it is told to me twenty years later.” So Gripe found a way of explaining, in-world, why the original story needed to be retold.

Thanks for the update! I love reading other POVs of a story. I assume that Jeaniene is paying handsomely for the use of both the web serial, and alpha male POV ideas. 🙂
