Who ever posted the Russian galactic train to Mars, follow up… thank you. I am ROLFing hard. Shades of Sci Fi classics. The end with the alien piggy thing? Classic. And the uncle who signed the safety wavier! And the star ship trooper… but I really love the music…Satisfaction!

Sending this to a friend at JPL. She herds the nerds, in her words.

Hi Moderator R!
I came across a book in Goodreads with a suspiciously familiar cover. Don’t know if it counts as copyright infringement, but thought you might want to know.
Cheers!

Hey Defne,
No worries, the image was not commissioned specifically for Hidden Legacy, there is no copyright issue. Thank you for signaling ☺️.

Hi Moderator R,
I wonder if you or Ilona saw my comment above? I don’t know if some comments get lost so I’m replying to your comment in case you get a notification of a reply. I’ve copied my comment again below here:
The video you linked is not from the original creator, it seems they stole and re-uploaded the content from the source channel. The original channel is called birchpunk (you can see their watermark in the top right of the video), and here’s the link to the video from their page: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HZ4DnVfWYQ
Could you please edit the post so it links to the original? I think the creators should get the views 🙂
Cheers!

Hi Anon,
Thank you for the link.
As shocking as it is, we take weekends off, so repeated comments only make more work for ModR.
The video has been edited.

Thank you, this is hilarious.
I loved the уаз bus with the antigravity drive. Brought back some childhood memories. I could almost feel my teeth (fillings) shake :)))))

I don’t speak or understand a lot of Russian, and this is so funny!
I do have a couple of Ukrainian friends. I passed along the link.
BTW – where I live there is a large, active, and social Ukraine community. They hold a festival at a park nearby and its always well-attended.

It is subtitled. You have to turn on the closed captioning for the video to see it, though.

omg. crying with laughter. I read a LOT of dystopian fiction, science fiction, military science fiction, and thrillers (spy, political, courtroom, etc). This is such a funny funny mashup of the tropes…..

So that’s where Ilona’s humor comes from? A little twisty, a little dark.

The space train video by the same team is even better – so much life crammed into a tiny short video. There is also a video about New Year on the farm. Elsewhere on YouTube are interviews with the maker (in Russian) on how he and his friends made these videos. They took about a month each. No commercial backing, only friends and cooperation. Absolute genius! Thank you Ilona for the link. Made my day.
Oonasays
I learned a Russian word from the space train vid: Iom = hammer? Lol. Links to interviews with creators? Love to read it if translated into English. Pure genius. They could make a name for themselves. Reminds a bit of FireFly only with more humor!
