Thank you so much for being so supportive of our work. Your enthusiasm means more than we can express. We are truly fortunate that our books, despite all their flaws, are being read by such an awesome group of people.
It’s easy sometimes to forget that behind the pages of the book is an actual living breathing person who wrote it, and to be fair, Gordon and I have always tried to distance our professional selves from our personal selves. We’ve learned to take negative comments in stride and to keep going. We know that readers are here for the stories rather than our angst and that is how it should be.
But I have to tell you, we’ve had a very challenging January, between omicron recovery, family health issues, edits on Ruby Fever, and these random problems that are just popping out of nowhere. All of the support for the yesterday’s post was like getting a warm hug. It probably sounds corny, but it was just so nice. It inspired us to work even harder.
