Thank you for all of the reviews, emails, comments, and everything. It is so gratifying to see you being excited about the book and to be so kind in your reviews. Thank you so much. Sorry we were not online as much this release.
The audio was unexpectedly difficult this time around. We contacted two audio readers and both fell through, so we are experiencing a slight delay. We are on track now, so we are hoping to have the audio available in 6-8 weeks. I believe we chose Natalie Naudus for Maud’s voice. But I am also not really sharp right now, so if I am mistaken, I will post a correction.
You can order it right here: paperback.
Little bit of personal background: Kid 1 has seen a neurologist and unfortunately there is no quick fix for her headaches. We are in for a long haul of trying to find a combo of medication that will work. We have also made her go to the gym, since a lot of her issues are stemming from a very tight neck, and she managed some light stretches today. The pain is still present but it’s not as severe. For the last two weeks every single moment has been focused on trying to get this under control. I am really dragging and Gordon is too.
Because of these issues, we will likely not be making the manuscript deadline for Hidden Legacy #5. There is a bit of wiggle room in the schedule, so we are hoping to gain some ground and avoid having to move the release date. So a full novel-length work in the Innkeeper universe is unlikely in the upcoming months.
Would you be open to a shorter format, to where we would post short stories in the serial format, perhaps highlighting some of the inn’s guests and maybe exploring Gerard and Helen’s meeting? This would allow us to comfortably do smaller scale weekend projects and would let you return to the world of the innkeeper without a long wait. We would still follow scene by scene style but instead of months, the complete story would take 4-6 weeks.
Let us know in the comments. We gave Brandi a day off. She’s been answering all of your emails, keeping in touch with our agency, and doing all of the release publicity, and yesterday Artha sat on her laptop and crushed the screen, so she needed a mental health day. 🙂
See you in a bit. 🙂
