Magic Triumphs, Kate 10, will not be released until 2018.ย ๐ย If any Goodreads librarians are reading this, please correct the date if you get a chance.ย Apparently the date on the site still has September of this year.
We are so thrilled that you really enjoy our books.ย But you are getting 4 books from us this year and that’s pushing our fanbase pretty far on our end.ย Three maybe, but four is kind of over the line.ย This wasn’t the plan, it’s just the way things turned out.
What?ย How? You’re crazy! There aren’t four books.
- One Fell Sweep, which was pretty much a January release.
- White Hot.
- Wildfire.
- Iron and Magic.ย (<—Hugh’s book.)
Even if we physically could do stuff Kate 10 into the end of the year – and can’t because we also have two book tours – we would cut into our sales. ๐ย You would be sick of us.
Laura says
Are you kidding? I’ll never get sick of you guys – but I’ll take what I can get, and be grateful for what is published this year. Thank you so much!
Norbert says
Yep, they are completely delusional this way… back to rereading KD now. ๐
Harukogirl says
Hahaha, I know, right? I even buy each book in every available format – digital, HB, PB, and audiobook. If only I could get them to send me arcs as well….. ๐
I’ve read the whole kate series again since Jan, and Burn for Me twice in the past 12 months.
Tink says
She posted on Twitter that releasing a fifth book in a year would cut into their sales. If their books were food, I’d have to pause to wipe the drool off my tablet at the thought of a fifth book. Which I would also buy in hardcover and ebook. (The book, not the drool. Eww.)
Harukogirl says
She must be talking about normal readers who buy their books, not the ravenous hoard that frequents this blog. We’d buy the phone book if they told us the authorlords wrote it.
Then we’d demand a sequel.
Randy says
That would be downright ridiculous if it weren’t so true.
Lea Coates says
lol, totally agree! the best phone book ever
Alex R. says
I think I have that phone book! Now must get it autographed.
Marilyn Ellis says
ditto
Samantha says
I love this group it makes me feel less insane to know there are so many others out there salivating over an Ilona Andrews new release.
catlover. says
Yea, something good to read! We will read it all, but you do need time for a life! Pace yourselves please.
Nifty says
4 books in 2017! Woot! *happy dance*
sakinah says
Would happily read anything you write any time you put it out there, but 4 books is A LOT for you all, on top of everything else you do (POVs, questions, tours), so please please please don’t burn out ๐ Thanks so much for everything!
Also, is that the official name of the Hugh book? LOVE IT!
Tink says
“You would be sick of us.”
Pshaw.
Do you have a release date for “Iron and Magic”? BTW, when did you change the title? You didn’t like “Warlord’s Price” or whatever the April Fool’s Day announcement had it titled?
Jessie says
Ilona said in a previous post that it will come out in Autumn I think, not sure about the title change though ๐
sarafina says
I like ‘Iron and Magic’. Think of all the similar titles they can write books under. ‘Steel and Magic’ – ‘Swords and Magic’ – ‘Hatchet and Magic’ (for Julie) – ‘Fangs and Magic’ (any shapeshifter) – ‘Chemistry and Magic’ (for Christopher) – ‘Law and Magic’ (for Barnabas)- Baby and Magic (you know), etc, etc.
Samantha says
I read your post and thought “AWESOME!” Then had this image of Gordon reading it saying “They expect how many more KD books?” Then writing a quick world ending meteorite.
Patience says
“You would be sick of us.” Wait…What?!
Charis N. says
I know, I’ve read Burn for Me so many times. Enjoy it every time
but … Then book will be so NICE!!!
Carolann says
Impossible of course…
Pat Sciarini says
Sick of you? Never! Especially considering the number of times I reread your books. But You do have a life, so enjoy
KathyInAiken says
Respectfully, you are always right when you are plotting your books, but you grossly misunderstand my reading obsession. I reread all of your books each year. I have each in paperback, Kindle, and MP3 (and I am starting to get them on Audible). It is impossible to get tired of your work. Carry on.
E says
Me too! I love listening to the audio books on the beach. Perfect relaxation.
Lucinda says
Chiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!
The BDHorde could never get enough of you. We are also very protective of your happiness and well being so please take care of yourself and squeeze a good massage and vacation in there too! I am so grateful for all that you both give us. Four books this year is an incredible gift. And I have the special edition innkeeper collection coming too! A million hugs and thanks.
Kerry says
Agreed. Well said. Although just for the record, i reread or relisten to at least one of your books once a week!
seantheaussie says
“You would be sick of us.”
That is blatant fishing for complements ๐
When I discoved Gordan and Ilona, I read 8 books/stories in 3 months. 4 books in one year would NOT be a problem.
Christine says
๐
MissBliss says
Just so you know, I have yet to get tired of reading anything and everything you put out regardless of how much or how little is available or when it’s available. I am a voracious Ilona Andrews reader. But four books in one year is an absolutely astounding amount of quality content to put out, I honestly don’t know how you guys do it. As a devoted reader I so appreciate how hard you work and how all that hard work shows up in every single story. I also appreciate how much you share with us about the business of being a professional writer and all the various reasons you make the decisions you make, it’s enlightening.
Simone says
No we would not get tired of you. Don’t be silly! You two, on the other hand, deserve a work / life balance and 4 books is a grueling schedule. Adding in snippets, promotion and POV we are a very spoiled BDH.
MeggsH says
Seconded- I don’t know how y’all keep up the pace. Especially appreciate all the extras and snippets- I only discovered you back in January and have since read everything I can get my hands on- multiple times… so not tired of you. Take care of yourselves and your family – we aren’t going anywhere ?
Lisa says
Hugh’s book this year?!!! Squweeee?????. I can wait for Kate. White Hot and Hugh!!! Squweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Mimi says
I would buy a million of your books a year if they were out there! That said, 4 in 1 year is a great achievement for which the BDH will be eternally grateful. Can’t wait for the 30th…
Kelly M says
We will never get sick of you. But you are giving us lots this year and so we can hardly complain if we have to wait for (the last, the final, the ultimate) Kate… ?
Patience says
Uh…Wait, what?! Last?
sarafina says
Kate’s story was originally supposed to be 7 books long, and expanded to 10 – which Magic Triumphs will be. At least that was the last plan I’ve seen.
Nifty says
The main Kate story arc will end with the 10th book, but they have said they would like to tell more stories in the Kate-verse. Just not with Kate as the main character. For instance, I think I read on the blog just recently that they are ruminating over a 3-book arc featuring Roman. And the Derek and Julie story was billed as “Book 1,” so I’m hoping we’ll get more about them.
Karen says
I’m so looking forward to wildfire and White hot. Having trouble to wait until release date ?
jewelwing says
I can read your books a lot faster than you can write them. If you could put out a book a week at your accustomed quality, I could totally read it. However, I do recognize a) that you need some time off, and b) that your accustomed quality requires time to produce. So fine, I will wait until next year, but it’s totally not because I would get sick of your books.
Barbara says
Get sick of you? Really? Cut into sales? Really? Ah well, looks like I’m going to have to cultivate some patience and watch the time on my pre-orders tick down…
Dsolo says
Oh you sillies, we can’t get tired of you. We never know which way you’re going to go. I re-read all of your series on a red basis, because they’re that good. However, I will concede that y’all are entitled to a miniscule amount of downtime before each book. Take care of yourselves. We’ll be waiting patiently, well waiting anyway.
Dsolo says
Regular, not red
snickrah21 says
Completely agree with earlier comments that four books IS an outstanding amount of content to release in one year, and at the level of quality you both do. Your consideration as authors keeping us in the loop (which you don’t have to do) is AMAZING too. It’s awesome to see the relationship you have with us as readers and wanted to let you know we really really appreciate it!! ๐
as a side note—love love LOVE the titles of both Hugh’s book and Kate 10. You have given us so much to look forward to this year and next!!!
Monica says
Yes, I totally agree with this. As a reader I’m thankful for all the amazing books, updates, and the snippets!
Rif says
Four books is a dream! Also i have had a really tough time recently with medical stuff and honestly rereading the kate books has truly helped get me through; especially over the past week. Thanks Ilona and Gordon. Counting down the days til White Hot!
Erin Burns says
Nope, wouldn’t be sick of you guys. I would in fact be willing to even pay the super inflated serials prices some others do (though I appreciate that you guys don’t do that). But 4 books is outstanding, I’m surprised but I’m really looking forward to Hugh’s book.
Kelly Jacobs says
NEVAH!
NEVAH!
NEVAH SICK OF WONDERFUL ILONA ANDREWS STORIES!
Jessie says
I am grateful and excited with whatever books you guys choose to write whenever. You should definitely do whatever feels right for you in terms of how you pace yourself with writing. I really appreciate your blog and being able to keep updated with everything you’re working on. You guys rule! <3
MerryB says
Yes. Thank you, Gordon and Ilona, for whatever you write, whenever you write it.
Samantha says
? what they said.
Terri says
4 books qualifies as great riches for us- though like everyone else I can’t imagine a case where I’d not snatch up every word I could get from you. My vision of a heavenly afterlife doesn’t come with harps and halos, it has a magic library that stocks every book – especially those not yet written. And dessert carts that follow you around just in case…
Could you please ask your admin to update your release schedule page with Hugh’s book release date and maybe a synopsis? I didnt realize we would get it this year too- really happy news!
kitkat9000 says
Your idea of heaven sounds perfect… can others come to? Because I’d go there if given a chance.
Terri says
Your perfectly sized recliner and the sleepy kitten for your lap are now reserved in my heavenly library:-)
Christine says
With your standard of writing and the diversity of your series’s I don’t think you realise how much pleasure you give us, your readers.
But you do need time for yourselves and your family too…so make sure you have “me time” to enjoy life!
Giving us 4 books in a year is amazing plus the snippets and the POVs…I feel very privileged to have discovered you guys and the books I enjoy reading time and again ?
Patricia Schlorke says
I agree with everyone that we were not, are not, and never will be sick of either of you. Both of you have a gift of storytelling, and it shows with every snippet, short story, and book you publish. That being said, health, happiness, and just shoving us away for a while is good for you too (I know horde, gasp at me saying that last bit, but you got to admit they do need to get away from us for a while).
Thank you for all your hard work in getting us these four books this year. Hugh’s book is icing on a huge cake we’re getting this year. Four books……wow! Definitely spoiled. Now….go spoil yourselves.
Janette says
Wow. Hugh’s book this year? I can wait for Kate 10. You did say the Hugh book would have some details/background that would be useful for Kate 10 but glossed over in 10.
wont says
You’re probably sick of this reply by now, but I have to throw in my two cents. Never, never, never would we get tired of your books. I can prove it. While waiting for the next release, whatever that may be, (using this only as an example), I do rereads. Yes, I fill much of the waiting with rereading all the Kate stories, including all the other members of that world. Though I’ve reread BFM several times, it’s scheduled for a reread at the end of this month. (just before the 30th) The Edge books, One Fell Sweep, you get the idea. So, please know you’re appreciated. I still laugh at the funny parts (so many!), I still tense up at the scary/sad/mystery parts. Ok, I’ll stop now. Just sayin……
Rebecca C says
I join the BDH consensus that there is no way we will get tired of reading & rereading whatever you write. I’m in awe of your abilities – writing such high-quality books, snippets, etc., while keeping up with book tours & your exceedingly busy daily lives. I may be (am!) greedy when it comes to wanting more, more, more, but there is also no way I (we, I hope) will ever be upset that you take care of yourselves.
Thank you so much for the many hours of pleasure your books have given me! I have no doubts at all that the wait for more will absolutely be worth it.
Kathleen wong says
Wahoo for 4 releases! I will buy all 5 if you offer it but I am pathetically grateful for 4.
Linda says
4 books sounds amazing, very excited for White Hot & Wildfire. Of course I will purchase Hugh`s book but he is not on my list of wonderful characters. I thought he was pure evil but cant wait to read his story.
Thank you for the amazing world that you have given us in all your stories
Josiesadnom says
Nope impatient and irked at the publisher for making us wait on white hot. Irrational, but we were promised that book last year! I want all the books !
Jamie says
Whoa! When is the Hugh book coming out? I didn’t realize that was an option for this year!
Fan in California says
Due to a variety of circumstances, I was just able to read Magic Binds this past week. Thank you thank you thank you!!! I just love how you approach Curran and Kate’s relationship and the epilogue was delightful. Getting to know more of Roman has been great too. And the contrast of the father’s love (good) of Roland with his evil really makes the story even more interesting. And the sense of humor throughout the book — you guys just make me laugh out loud!!
As much I hate waiting until 2018 for Kate #10 (which, if I remember right is the last Kate book ๐ ), it is worth waiting for so you can write the kind of book you want to write. And I am so happy that White Hot and Wildfire are still coming AND a Hugh book — whoo hoo!!!
Whenever you write whatever you write, I will be waiting and, as necessary rereading. Thanks again!!!
Dawn says
Dude we are getting 2 burn for me universe books. I ain’t complaining!! You guys are my fav author. Do what you have to in order to publish quality work. The delay in white hot and wildfire from burn for me shows you have an audience willing to wait for quality ๐
Carolyn C says
Having reread everything you’ve written multiple times, I recently started reading your books aloud to my husband. He enjoyed the Innkeeper books, so we just started the Edge series to get Jack and George’s backstory.
It is not enough just to read and reread them–now I get to share them with someone!
Kathryn says
No; never tired of anything you write. I totally agree with the person who said she could read a book a week–except I could easily handle one per day.
You have to do what you need to do to retain your sanity, and by all means please protect those precious creative brain cells. I’m counting on reading your works for many years to come.
Randy says
Like many others, I’ve re-listened or re-read your stories several times. Each time it seems I learn something new. And I really like how in the Kate Daniels series each book where Kate is not the main character actually fills in more information about Kate.
If you’ve published something that is less than stellar, I haven’t found it. Thank you for giving us a new world with each series you create, of where we feel like we are living it right along with the characters.
Oshi says
The only thing I read from that is we get Hugh book this year. Thank you authorlords.
Charlotte says
Your Work is a delicacy to be savoured, not junk food for the mind. The wait is part of the pleasure.
J says
I am profoundly grateful for each and every book (or other work) you produce.
That said, you and your publishers are quite mistaken. I will never tire of your work, in all its forms.
My greedy side wants Magic Triumphs NOW, in addition to the others set gor thos year, and even more. I will of course settle for anything and everything you choose to provide, on your terms.
Bright side is that 2018 now won’t be completely dark and empty.
Thank you for all you give us. I will always be grateful for more.
J says
That’s “set for this year”
Lea Coates says
What?! How dare you not be superhuman and slaves to the whims of your readers at the same time! You have two brains and four hands don’t you? and 48 hours in each day? hrumph arms crossed and sulking now. Seriously though, I agree with Charlotte, the anticipation is as thrilling as the books, and I cannot wait for May 30.
Alex R. says
Uhm… All other assumptions correct, but either two brains and 4 hands or 48 hours. Although, if they start the kidlets toiling away … then ok! 4 brains and 8 hands! But still only 24 hours.
Lynette says
Won’t get sick of you love your writing
E says
Thanks for clearing this up – I was confused. Also what everyone else said.
Deena says
I can’t imagine ever being sick of you, but I’m glad because it draws the series out longer.
Deblfransen says
Dear Gordon and Ilona, I respectfully disagree with your assessment of our attention span. Even though we, the BDH, sound like toddlers, me! me! me!, we are all grateful for the chance to read each of your stories. Your work has helped me deal with difficult weeks. It has given me insight into my own behavior and permitted me to grow as a person and as a parent. I have just finished listening/reading Magic Binds for the sixth time. That is a new record for any book. Thank you!
shannon markle says
Just an FYI: If you published 100 books this year, I would buy every one of them on the release date. ๐
Agata says
I’ll never get sick of your books! I always need more and more ๐ But I understand and I’ll try to be patient of course ๐ Can’t wait for White Hot, Wildfire ald Hugh’s book! Greetings from Poland!
JenMo says
You spoil us already. I don’t mind waiting for quality work you’re proud of.
Shlomi says
Hear, hear!
Carol says
Agreed! But sick of you two? Not possible! Still I don’t mind waiting either!!
Wanderer says
Agree completely. And as much as I love Kate & Curran, I find myself looking forward to seeing Hugh’s side of the story. Thanks for the Regan POV, btw!
Darlene says
Everything y’all produce is golden. I’ll (un)happily wait for something you’re proud of. Besides, I can always go back and reread my favorites (i.e., ALL of them!)
Dvenger says
Goodreads Librarian reporting for duty. And done! Can barely wait for these epic books. You guys rock!
Alex R. says
Meh???? ???
Alex R. says
You know, technically OFS was finished lady year and white hot/wildfire are just one long book and Hugh is a baaaad man (therefore doesn’t count for more than 1/2 at the most). By my count you still owe us (yes! Owe!!!! Gimme, gimme, gimme!!) 2 and 1/2 books this year!
I want it and I want it now!
What do you mean you have a regulat life? Inconceivable!
Alex R. says
“Lady year” strikes again. ?
sarafina says
Those are the BEST kind!!!!!
Ilona says
Heheh!
Nancy says
We would never get tired of you! Thank you for all of your releases.
Tori says
It’s ok, I just read the books again. Waiting……….waiting……..waiting, they are even better the second, third…., you get the picture. Thank you for a wonderful series. The Kate books are my favorite, but I love all of your books. Now if you could just speed up the days until #10 comes out.
Katherine Buchanan says
I have re-read BFM so many times I can recite it! And I’ve probably re-read one of your books each week since Kate 1.
I have so anticipated WH that I’m getting a fancy hotel room on the beach stocked with my favorite wine, cheese, pate, etc.
I will read it once. Then I will read it again. Then I will read my favorite parts and then the ending again. Then I will walk on the beach. I will always buy and read everything you write.
Cheryl zuccaro says
Now that is how to read a book!
Kimmelane says
Amen!
Cheryl zuccaro says
Btw my favorite re-read is silver shark
Teresa Bates says
I have been hoping there would be a new series using silver shark. I really enjoyed it and have re-read it. Of course I have re-read all of the books. I about had a heart attack when white hot took an extra year. I delayed a cruise so I would be home on the thirtieth.
Karen the Griffmom says
Saving the read for cruise in June. (Right after signing in Lansing.) I may cheat and read on flight to Seattle.
Cheryl zuccaro says
Does this mean Gordon will have time for more Regan povs? Just looking on the bright side. Really when final Kate book is out I will be happy and sad since it will be the end and secretly I don’t want Roland to die, I want him to grow into a granddad
Margaret says
I so agree with you?
Donna says
I would buy all even if you released 12 books a year. But I’ll take 4. Thank you.
kommiesmom says
1) We would never get tired of you. Never, never, never.
2) Four books, yes. But only two in the same series. We get news about three sets of our friends this year. No overload at all.
3) Thank you beyond measure for four books. But please do not burn out. The waiting for you two to recover is painful.
Rohaise says
Ditto what everyone else said. It’s a bit scary how frequently I re-read your books. I’ve always re-read favorite books, but with your books it’s the entire series. With WH I read the book again for I don’t know the how many-ith time and now I’m listening to the audiobook. I don’t think it’s possible to get sick of your writing, but work/life balance is important.
Bat says
Yes, three books is a bit much to expect. Four is a windfall. What can we say, we are greedy little bas…. erm basket cases.
We love you, certainly would not get sick of you, but yeah no burning yourselves out for us and you have to make a living so no cutting unnecessarily into your profits ๐
Aly P says
You’re so sweet thinking I’d get tired of reading your books. You guys are amazing! Even 6 books wouldn’t be too much ๐
Demi says
Sick of you? NEVER!!
Samantha says
Hear, here!
Katie Beattie says
As one of the legion of your fans I can assure you that your book sales wouldn’t suffer!
Any way like many others I am just grateful that there are new books this year… I have been counting the months to your releases.
At least with Hugh’s book I do feel a little bit like laughing because , (dare I mention) April Fool !!!!
It is always worth waiting for the pair of you to be satisfied with your end results. They are always fantastic . Thank you
Becca says
NEVER sick of you, but completely understand spacing things out a bit.
Sarah says
*blinks* Whaaaat? You don’t WANT burn out? Stress? WHY EVER NOT???
Seriously, would be hard pressed to be sick of reading your books but I completely understand your point. So in lieu of screaming for more, I will say thank you for what you’ve released this year!
Laura says
Um, hello, we could never be sick of you. If it were physically possible for you to publish a book a month, beyond impossible I know, we would still buy it and read it (or at least I would, I realize that I can’t speak for everyone else), and reread it and reread it!
Samantha says
You can speak for me. Sounds wiggle worthy, a great book a month. But you are right having read it once I can read it again and again and again….great books.
Signe says
Something I’ve been meaning to ask — will the events of the Hugh book be summed up in Kate 10? I strongly dislike Hugh and am not going to read his book (sorry), but I don’t want to be completely lost when Kate 10 stars.
Liz says
I’m impressed of your ability to be able to keep up south so many series and all of them so far so awesome! ? I’m glad to have the chance to have three this year. How you manage to keep so creative without running out of energy is impressive. Thank you for the great work. ?
DeeAnn fuchs says
Just so you know, I buy everything you two write and have loved them all. Take a break when you need it and as long as the books appear eventually, I will be happy. Right now I’m excited for White Hot because I get to reread Burn For Me and then after those two I will get to read Wildfire. Can’t get much better than that!!
Kimmelane says
I have to join with the others who read and re-read and re-re-read your work. Your books have kept me going through some very rough times; they provide a lovely escape from the real world for me. It’s not unusual for me to read books twice, but I read yours many times more than that. I hope you are taking some time for yourselves during this busy year! Please do, and don’t let yourselves burn out.
It is such a pleasure, also, to have the opportunity to tell you both how much we (the Horde) appreciate you. I visit the sites of many authors, but few allow comments and none have a fanbase like yours. Thank you, so much, for everything you do!
Travin says
Do admit I’m on a limited budget. Just means your books, and a few others get bought before certain bills get paid. I am sure those folks won’t mind getting smaller payments, if you change your mind and want to put out more. Lol I know I wouldn’t mind one bit. Love your books. Hope you have a great Mother’s Day. Thank you both for all your hard work.
Other Barbara says
As long as I can wallow in Rogan and Nevada’s world, the Audible is out the same day, and I am not crushed by the (I think I understood) soft/open romance ending I will be delighted.
Aw let us be honest I will still wallow even if it ends with Rogan and Curran meeting in Wilmos’s shop to let George marry them, I would listen 14 times. Then re start with swine and roses, short,
yet so magical.
They are that entrancing. I kind of have Burn For Me memorized.

I saw this online – it’s a house built inside an airplane hanger – and immediately thought of Nevadas house inside the warehouse

Rena says
You couldn’t publish more books than I could devour, unless you are putting out at least 1 a week. ๐ If I am on a day where I am doing not much but reading, I will read more than 1 book a day. However when real life intrudes with things like work, cooking, etc, I will still do 3-4 books a week on average. However I will be satisfied and happy with what you put out this year. You have the next 2 after BFM coming out in short order, then I will consider Hugh to be a Kate book. Added in a new Innkeeper starting about the 1st of the year and that hits pretty much my wishlist from you as you are spreading around the books and not “neglecting” a series that I am dying to get a new installment from. Well, unless inspiration strikes for a new short story in the Kinsman line. ๐
I will echo the others and say TY for all of your quality work and please, take a break when you need it so as to avoid burnout.
Jann says
Yay! A Hugh book… bad man faces redemption … i hope he will be redeemed with a little of the bad retained. ๐
I am happy with whatever you produce. I can just re-read or re-listen to any of your other wonderful and previously released works. I am used to Jim Butchers timeline which keeps stretching, so 4 in one year is the mother load of book gems!
Thanks for all your hard work!!
PS – I would love to see more knitting posts. I like starting projects, but I never finish. Your projects always look so beautiful that I always feel inspired.
Karen the Griffmom says
I know what you mean – I haven’t knitted since my 4-H mittens (except for a Dr. Who scarf for the cow sculpture in the yard), but Ilona’s projects make me want to go out and buy Pretty Yarn.
Amy says
I completely agree with the timeline, thing! 4 books in one year is more generous than any other author I can think of right now. I’m used to 1-2 a year, or even 6+ and counting. (I’m looking at you George R. R. Martin.)
crispi says
We can be patient ๐ Thank you for the worlds and people you build.
Carolyn C says
We’re not always very good at it, but we can be.
DianainCa says
Thanks for the update! I will be patient, I will be patient, I will be patient
Katy says
I am just hanging out forMay 30! 2018 can take care of itself!!!
Jo says
Hugh’s book will be out this year? That’s great! I’m already counting down the days to White Hot but having another of your books out will make this year waaaay cooler!
Carol says
Always good to have something to look forward to.
Silvia Herrera says
As said you both are worth the wait .
Samantha says
Happy Mother’s Day by the way.
Melissa B says
My dear Author Lords and family, First of all thank you for spoiling us and we are very grateful for your dedication to your craft. We can tell how you love it so as the world’s you have created are very innovative, intriguing, suspenseful, and fantastic to read. Being a Sci first chick, I am first drawn to OFS and I couldnt help but love the Inn! My next love was wearwolfs and vampires, and think y’alls twist on vampires and the shapshifters is so darn original to put it politely. Of course Kate and Curran are great heros. Well heck I could keep extolling why all your series are fabulous. Last point- you and your family have comitted to this journey you all are on. Please take time off and enjoy each other. Happy graduation for your second daughter coming up too.
Cheers! Melissa B
Dianna Kilgore says
Never ever could I get tired of your books! How could you even imagine that? As your quality is excellent at four books per year (or more) I am thrilled to read them. But I understand and shall try to be patient. I read three to five books a week and get very hungry when I have devoured all the books from my favorite authors. Please keep them coming. We need you. Thanks for all the books and snippet snacks that help keep me going. Love you both.
Kat says
Now that you’ve pointed it out… four books in one year is hectic. Wow. I wasn’t particularly interested in Hugh’s book to start with, but your snippets have sold me and now I’m excited! Very much looking forward to that.
Thanks for all the delicious, nommable books! Many books to look forward to.

Does not compute. Sick. of. her. Words make no sense!
But let’s not be greedy – anticipation makes the books even better and four in a year is wonderful. Heaven knows I’m grateful for any outside force slowing down my spending on books. I often think we need something like the AA, Readers Anonymous.

There seems to be some sort of problem with the space-time continuum: it’s not the 30th yet.
I’m sure it’s just a mistake.

Having already read Whitehot and Wildfire pre-release, I actually had come to terms with no other release this year (and didn’t feel the loss because those two books are amazing, fhsjshd) so this is such a wonderful surprise! I didn’t expect Hugh’s book as early as this year. *__*

no worries! Like you said, we’re getting 4 releases anyways (AND HUGH!!!) so we are pretty well spoiled this year! ๐

Groans and crys of pain are heard from around the world.
It’s okay. We understand.

Well usually I don’t notice or care about book covers but you have converted me. If I missed the furor about it I apologise for highlighting something already done to death
Wildfire Cover: Nevada’s NOT blonde??!! What the!
Apparently this really bugs me…
Grrr
Yes I know you don’t get to chose the covers Ilona and Gordon, its just a WTH moment! Not an attack ๐
On another note
Get well soon
My husband keeps his allergy regime going year round, he takes a 24hr polaramine (we call these horse pills because they knock you out) at bed time and a 12 hour claratyne/zyrtec/telfast (non sleepy variety) in the morning 365 days a year. His body doesn’t get to start to react. Its worked well for him he has managed not to have a allergic reaction for years.
Having said all this I am not a medical doctor in any way shape or form.
Ciao

When it comes to your books, Ilona, I have unlimited budget.
Bought and read everything I could find. In less than 2 years.
Now waiting for your next book, and next book…
Keep rereading some books (kinsmen my favourite). Forgot about some books (was Alfas actually yours?).
So don’t count. Just keep writing: we are patiently waiting. With finger on ‘one click’ button.

You two just keep well and keep on writing in your own time to keep giving us your readers the best books ever
