The audio of Magic Strikes and Magic Bleeds will be briefly unavailable. We’ve purchased the rights to the recordings and now we have to wait while Tantor pulls all of their copies from the retailer and then upload our own files. The covers of audio editions will change, because we don’t own the rights to them; however, there is no new material. It’s the exact same recordings as before.
There is now an Appearances page accessible from the main page and top menu under Connect. Please note the update on Meet and Greets. Please let us know if you have set up any other Meet and Greets so we can post them.
Library Reads, where staff from public libraries across US vote on top ten books to be published next month, highlighted White Hot and said nice things about it. We’re both terribly flattered.
This book seems to be raking in praise. I selfishly hope it sells well, heh. Okay, the moment of author insecurity is over. Back to the grind.
From everything I’ve read, posts from readers anticipating, and reviewers who have read the book, I think you have nothing to worry about with White Hot. Combine this with the snippets you have posted, it will soar. Done deal.

IMO you have a better chance to crash the servers at Amazon from the stampede of fans to buy it when it comes available then you have a chance of it not selling well. 🙂
Hmm. Being a tech editor, I immediately tried out the new Appearances links… and they don’t all work. In order, from this blog post:
1) “There is now an Appearances page…” – yes, this works using the direct hotlink on the word “Appearances”.
2) “…accessible from the main page…” – sort of. Yes, the main page (https://ilona-andrews.com/) has there’s a toward the bottom titled “Tours and Appearances”, with a hotlink to the appropriate page. However, on the main page’s header buttons seem to be broken – I can’t click on HOME BOOKS BLOG etc., and there’s no popup scroll of choices when the cursor hovers over those words, either. That header still works correctly on all the subpages, but not on the main page.
3) “… and top menu under Connect.” no, there’s no Appearances option. When I hover over CONNECT, the popup scroll offers Newsletter, Professional Inquiries, Contact, and Forum, but there is no Appearances.
Thought you’d want to know that the programming didn’t quite go as planned?

Hmm. The cyber-gremlins are active today.
“Appearances” is now showing up under CONNECT. The refresh suggestion is a non-starter because I came to the blog fresh, and I had tried all that anyway before I wrote the message. I even checked that my caps lock was off (heh heh). Maybe it just took a while to propagate through the system? Anyway, that’s solved.
However, the header on the main page is still unresponsive. Maybe it’s my machine. However, it’s possible that other people will be having the same problem, and that’s a major one because it prevents easy browsing to other parts of the site.

I am on a field trip that day. BUT! We’re riding a DC Duck and the kids are all in their own groups. So technically speaking, I can relax and find a quiet spot on the DC Mall and read. Until I need to get picked up by the bus. Yes yes yes…. I think this can work. MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAAAA!
I’m reading. And then the next day, I’m having a dress rehearsal for a musical. Then I’m putting on said musical, then a talent show, end of the quarter, graduation, and packing and selling my home… and oh my GOD do I need this escape.

I’ve pre-ordered the audio version and “traditional” version of White Hot, so you’ll get double the price from me. I’m actually burning with jealousy for all those people who got to be your beta-readers or got to read and review it before publishing. I just re-re-relistened (and re-reread) Burn For Me to amp up the feels. Can’t wait!
I love seeing other people re-read and re-listen to Burn for Me! I got two of my coworkers in love with Kate Daniels but I told them that BFM maybe my favorite Ilona Andrews book ever and they’re dying to read it.
