I have just finished playing the Burn for Me game Ilona told you about in the previous post. It’s out, it’s gorgeous, and I’m going in for a second play with different choices right after I finish this post!
The link for the game is here for the Apple app store and on Android/Google play you can find it here. This downloads the Chapters game- once installed, you can use the search function to find the Burn for Me story adaptation amongst their other offerings. I’ve circled the search tab in the image, in the upper right corner.
Despite what the blurb wants you to believe, and the rich background of mutual pranks between Houses Andrews and Frost, Jeaniene did not take time out of her busy schedule to author a Burn for Me doppelgĂ€nger about jilted fiancĂ©es đ, presumably featuring opossums and nipple tassels galore.
The storyline is actually the Burn for Me by Ilona Andrews we all know and love, no need to worry. There is some simplification of plot and cast of characters due to the constraints of the medium, but there is also customisation and reader choice yay! The first 5 chapters are currently available, which takes us right to the confrontation with đ in the Pit. You can set notifications to let you know when further content is released.
You get to chose looks for Nevada and Rogan (general appearance, skin colour, hair) and change Neva into different outfits. We see the Warehouse, Takara, Rogan’s cellar whilst he (shirtlessly) interrogates Neva, the Pit etc.
For those unfamiliar with this type of game, there are several types of choices the player can make, and you get warned when you reach the ones that can change the outcome of the story. I’m trying not to give too many spoilers here, but the visuals are really pretty. Look away now if you don’t want to see more pictures!
As Ilona said, it is an adaptation, so everything is not canon. The liberties taken are not as much with the general plot, as with certain characters…ugh, it’s going to kill me if I don’t tell you:

Not the real face House Andrews have hinted at, a real face as pictured by the game creators… and I laughed so hard I hurt my jaw. Imagining Pancakes reacting to this was simply too delicious.

In this portion of the game was there anything R rated..? I’ve read the book(s) already so I know it comes up (and love how it’s done!), but curious at the level of it in the game. You mentioned bare chest, anything else, words or images that are risque?
You get to chose rating, I went for all allowed ????.Rogan is bare chested and there are a couple of f-bombs, thatâs all.
Hmmm. Says my tablet doesn’t support the app. It’s having a problem with a Java library. Guess I’ll have to try it on my phone.
Turns out the app needs to run in internal storage. I had moved it to my SD card, but once I moved it back to internal storage it worked. Off to play.

It’s very easy! And very fun! I don’t do a lot of online game playing and this was literally just touch the screen kind of easy.
I had to go with making her a red head in my run through. I have a thing for gingers!
Kinda bummed this upload stops just before meeting Bug. Iâm gonna go nuts waiting for the next batch of chapters.
Their choices involving the shockers and the family makeup might come back to bite them in the keister if they adapt White Hot, but overall a fun time.
Is there any way to play this on a computer?

I am in Europe too. Burn for me is definitely available, I just searched for it again, it appears as soon as you type âburnâ in the search bar ????.
I provided a snapshot with the search bar circled in the post.

At first I couldn’t find Burn for me at all. My german phone automatically downloaded the german version of the game, and it wouldn’t show me english stories. I couldn’t find the language settings and spent some time trying to download the game in english, until I finally figured it out:
Just download the game in whichever language you get it. You have to tip/click on the upper left corner to access the language settings. Change to english and burn for me can be found as described by ModR đ

I downloaded the app, but Iâm terrified to open it. It says âin game purchasesâ which I am certain means âbuy more stories to playâ and oh. I have avoided such things since the first MMO.

Ok, it wasnât even a question. Iâll even let the ads play to get more gems. This is why Iâm not ALLOWED MMOs.
The in-game purchases are only if you really want them. A lot of the choices it doesn’t matter if you choose an outfit where you have to pay, for example. You can gather a lot of diamonds, coins, et al. if you spend the time to login from time to time to get the points, even if you aren’t playing right then.

I’m not into the games thing, but I sure enjoyed your post Mod R. Or maybe just your reaction to the game/features/faces. Nice share.
I love it; this isn’t up my wheelhouse and I won’t be playing. But I hope to see many of the choices for characters I’ve come to know and love.
And again I forgot to add what I should have posted many times before, thank you for all you do here, Mod R.
Iâm not into games either so I wonât see this version of the story. But RE Augustine â I always imagined that his illusion is hiding the fact that he is actually either more handsome or more distinctive (or both) than he is comfortable with so he makes himself artificially âprettyâ instead. It will be interesting to see what House Andrews has decided about him.
I played Chapters a lot for a while, then gathered diamonds when I wasn’t playing, so I have an ungodly number of diamonds.
I just played Burn for Me and it’s interesting but weird. I can figure out why they made some modifications to the story, but not others. I’ll keep playing, and then I’ll go back and do it all again with different choices.
I know they have to make changes to allow for gaming, but did they give any reasons why Catalina, Arabella, or Leon aren’t in the story? Or do you know how often they will have updates? Thanks! ????

I donât know when the story will be updated, however there is an option to turn on notifications once you reach the end which will tell you when new content is released ????.

I found Kate Serine’s Red to be really good. It’s also urban fantasy/paranormal. The Chapters writers don’t always do a good job adapting books but they do decent enough that I was actually engrossed in this story. Make sure not to confuse this with The Red by Tiffany Reisz. This is also good but the heat level in Reisz’ story is not for the faint of heart. If that’s your cup of tea, you might try that one out too. Also, Jeaniene’s books are also on Chapters.

The game is available internationally ????.
Itâs likely a matter of going into the game settings (upper left corner, circled in picture below) and changing the language to English, then using the search to find Burn for Me amongst the English stories as detailed in the post.
