Yay, Renee! Well-deserved congratulations!
Pat Crouch says
White Hot is my favorite book in this trilogy. There are so many stand out scenes that are a blast to read. Renee took that material and raced to glory with it. I loved Leon’s play by play recount of the battle at the warehouse. And, Dear Lord, the ferret heist! I find myself looking at our dryer exhaust and wondering from time to time. Congratulations to Renenee. An outstanding job that I really loved.
Jill says
The ferret heist makes me laugh out loud every time I read it. Or hear it.
Pat Sciarini says
Congratulations, well deserved!
Kristi says
Congratulations to Renee!
Katelin says
Well deserved. She’s one of my favorite narrators. They can really make or break an audiobook and I’ve yet to hear one that is bad from her.
DianainCa says
WooHoo! Congratulations ?
wont says
Congratulations to you both.

Congratulations, Renee!
And congratulations AuthorLords!
This really is a shared recognition. No matter how great the narration, the material that one has to work with has to count for a lot. On the other hand, a bad narrator can underwhelm the greatest material.
So – Great Job Everybody!
Mina says
Ditto!! What you just said.
Barbara says
Congratulations Renee, this award is very well deserved.
Regina says

Goodreads announced the winners. Innkeeper and White Hot didn’t win, but they had a damn good showing, IMHO. Congrats, Ilona and Gordon, and to Renee, too.
Henry says
Congratulations. Well deserved by authors and reader.
Gail K says
Congratulations to everyone. White Hot was one of my favorite books this year. It was suspenseful, funny, and showed the power of love for your family and friends. And the ferret heist OMG better than any Mission Impossible heist.
Rena says
Congratulations to you all. Well deserved all around.
Susan says
Congratulations to Renee. I confess that I haven’t listened to Wildfire yet, but I loved the first two books, I really enjoy reading the book first, then listening to the audio–they’re very different experiences but I love how Renee brings the words to life.
And congratulations to Ilona/Gordon for writing the book. Couldn’t have a best audiobook without the underpinning of strong material.
Reethu says
Congratulations

Congrats to you all! I don’t tend to listen to audiobooks but Renee is a fantastic narrator and you wrote an incredible book for her to work with! Wildfire has been my favourite book of the year by a long shot 🙂

I have sometimes liked Renee’s narration, especially innkeeper and the first few Kate books. And I thought she did a good job on White Hot. But in truth I have to say the last few Kates were a disappointment. The narration was so strident, she sounded like an angst ridden teenager with little range of feeling and no maturity. Shouting at her father and over emoting. I really missed the depth and ranged found in other narrations, I had to abandon listening which was sad since I love the books.

Congrats Renee! I just purchased the White Hot audiobook because I needed something else to listen to while I ran. And for the most part, I loved it. I thought Renee’s voices were really good, especially when she switched between younger vs older voices. . . My least favorite voice though was Rogan. With her voice, I just couldn’t stop picturing Rogan as this older white man in his 50’s wearing a 10 gallon hat. Everytime I heard her/his voice it totally threw me out of the narrative. I’ve been thinking about buying more audio books, but I’m not sure if I can handle picturing Rogan as an aging cowboy anymore. It really doesn’t fit with the sexy image of Rogan I had in my head.
