First off, I wanted to announce that I will once again be receiving reader emails after that recent hiatus. Please, feel free to to email me directly regarding any questions or fan mail for Ilona Andrews. I will try my best to be of assistance! I’m super excited to hear from y’all again, so please don’t be shy! You can reach me through the reader contact form linked here.

I also wanted to remind everyone that you’ll be able to catch Gordon and Ilona Andrews and Grace Draven at Murder By The Book on September 28th! This appearance is located in Houston TX and we are super excited about being able to be a part of this event celebrating Grace Draven’s new book Phoenix Unbound.

Thanks everyone,
Brandi Bolden.
Wow looking forward to seeing you. Hi Brandi. Glad you are not permanently scarred because you sound so nice. Love y’all.
Thanks Brandi! It is nice to read your “smiling” words again. Stupid me..I didn’t realize there was a way to email you guys. Hopefully you won’t be swamped. Looking forward to more fun blogs from my favorite blog site.
Glad you are back . Thanks for the info. I have readMagic Triumphs twice already. So sad/happy that Kate and Curran have their HEA .
Now rereading Hidden legacy in time forDiamond fire.
And waiting for Maud and Arland to kick butt.
Should be funny,fierce and unexpected.
I know you guys will have a great time in Houston.
Oh my gosh. I did a reread including Hugh’s book. I thought I was the only person in the world to want to reread the final book.
Not even close. I read it fast for the plot, slow for the characters.
Second time through also answers those pesky “Wait – how did they get *there*?” double takes that my reading speed leaves me with. Sometimes, I can go back right then and figure it out, but often I am so immersed in the narrative that I won’t pause. That relentless “What happens next?” grabs me and won’t let go. I have noticed more of those when reading IA than many other authors.
Thank you very much for them, O Mighty AuthorLords.
I have noticed the same thing. I think it’s because the AL don’t dumb things down or over-explain (or make their characters have those weird “recap” conversations that attempt to hide the need to summarize the entire series lest the new reader be hopelessly lost).
No, our AL trust us to be reasonably smart enough to figure stuff out, reread or seek consensus and/or enlightenment from our peers. Yet ANOTHER reason IA books are my favorite!
Thank you Brandi! Here’s hoping people will use good manners, or at minimum refrain from abusive language, when they contact you. It doesn’t seem like that high a bar.

Well said!!!!
+1. Very well said!! It shouldn’t be difficult, as it is simple common decency, but especially since you only try to be helpful, and you yourself are always so polite. Thank you for all you do Brandi, and thank you for maintaining your pleasant disposition, despite intolerable rudeness directed at you. I sincerely hope you NEVER have to deal with that again!!

+1 oops missed leaving my name
+1. I agree with jewelwing and the rest. It is good to hear from you and I am sorry for the narcissitic boorish individuals of the BDH. Most of us are mannered, mature folks .
Thank you, Brandi, for the update.
Thanks, Brandi!

Nice to read you back Brandi!
Welcome back Brandi. 🙂
+1, definitely!
++1. Agreed!
Welcome back Brandi. You were missed.
Hi! I live in Lexington, but had to miss the Andrews’ appearance at Joseph Beth Books. 🙁 And I was so looking forward to it! Oh well, now I have to settle down and wait for the library to get their copy – I’m on the waiting list. So sorry I’m not buying my own, but not in my budget at this time. At least I’m one of the patrons making sure the library is keeping EVERY SINGLE Ilona Andrews book on their shelves by periodically starting at book 1 and re-reading them all over again. Thanks again and again for Kate Daniels, the Edge, Innkeeper, and anything else you all decide to publish!
And Brandi, thank you as well for keeping the flow of comments kind and serene.
Ahah Great tip on how to keep the Ilona Andrews books in the library.
Thanks Brandi. Wish I lived closer – meeting both Grace Draven and the Authorlords at one event would be a reader nirvana. Sigh! 🙂
What a combo! I love Grace Draven too… Wish I was closer to Texas!
Thank you for the information and welcome back Brandi. ? Hopefully people who email you are more respectful than in the past.
For those who can make the book signing in Houston, have lots of fun. I’m reading the serialized Ippos King by Grace Draven. Grace sends it to those who join her newsletter. She sent chapter 2 out this afternoon. ?
Thanks for being awesome Brandi. We really do try to be a supportive community of fans so it has been discouraging to hear that you and Ilona and Gordon have been upset by some thoughtless comments.
We really do appreciate the excellent work you to do. Thank you!
Hi Brandi.
You gave me a heart attack for a second. I hope this makes you laugh– the phone screen read “Iona Andrews murder”
Hope you all have a great time at Murder by the Book! I really wish I could attend, but Northern Virginia (where I hang my hat) is a bit far away. I also hope that all the people you deal with, Brandi, Ilona, and Gordon, manage to use the respect and polite behavior they themselves want to be treated with. ?
Thank you Brandi for coming back.
Yay Brandi!
I am already signed up for my copy of Magic Triumphs and Phoenix Unbound and cant wait for 9/28 to finally arrive! Magic Triumphs was great both the first and second time through. Glad we can email again!
Chiming in with the welcome backs. It was upsetting to hear about the recent unpleasantness. Thank you for not holding it against us as a whole!
Welcome back Brandi. It’s always a pleasure hearing from you and thank you so much for everything you do.

???
Hi Brandi. I hadn’t realized that Grace Draven had a new book coming out so I pounced on the pre-order.
It is good to have you back! You are always informative and upbeat and we like that 🙂
My favorite authors together but just too far away. ☹
Texas just isn’t happening for me.
*Waves sadly from the Hudson Valley*
Wishing two (three) of my favorite authors a fun and successful event, anyway!
