Wicked Bite
Book 2 in the Night Rebel series
Some promises are meant to be broken…
Veritas spent most of her life as a vampire Law Guardian. Now, she’s about to break every rule by hunting down the dark souls that were freed in order to save Ian.
Some vows are forever…
Ian’s memories might be fragmented, but this master vampire isn’t about to be left behind by the woman who entranced him, bound herself to him, and then disappeared.
“Delivers all the sizzle, sass, and suspense that make this paranormal world such a thrill.”

I am biased because Jeaniene is my BFF, but I’ve read the book and I loved it. It has all the trademark sizzle and violence that goes along with being Jeaniene Frost’s book, but what I loved most about it was the use of mythology and the character development. To me, it’s always fun to see what happens after two people admit their attraction to each other. You like each other and that’s great, but can you actually function as a couple? This book answers that question for Ian and Veritas.
As always, your mileage may vary, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Thanks for the heads up! It is kind of gloomy here today, perfect day to read. Wait any day is perfect day for me to read ????
I just finished it. It’s awesome ????. I’m so looking forward to the next one
Wait….what! I thought I pre ordered that. Hmm must go buy right now.
Yay! Happy Book Birthday, Jeaniene! Good character development makes or breaks a book, in my opinion. Can’t wait to read this one! 🙂
Thank you for posting this, esp. the mention of Malaprop’s for signed copies! I will be in Asheville this weekend for a concert and now I’ll make a point to by Malaprop’s..
up i saw it available on audible bought it immediately. I’m not sure if I ever thanked you but I likely found her books years ago from a review she did on your books or something. I love her books nearly as much as yours. so
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
My book downloaded last night and I am already knee deep in it!
🙂
Me too. My PI gifted me with his virus* so I’ve been home resting, which is just perfect. Well, except for the sore throat and having no energy.
* we’d both been careful, and he’d mostly stayed home, but last Friday he was feeling better we spent a bunch of time in his office submitting a paper and going over some minor revisions to the world’s most ridiculous figure.
Yay! I ???? book birthdays
I liked the first one of these, so I definitely need to check out this one ????
I had preordered it. It’s a good series.
I just finished a re-listen to Ian and Veritas’ first book and had forgotten how much I loved it! Now I need to read my preordered copy first, then listen to it right after!
If anyone follows Michelle Sagara West, her latest Elantra book, _Cast In Wisdom_, also dropped last night. I had the hardest time deciding which to read first!

I do love the “Cast in” series! On my way to purchase 🙂
My copy was on Audible this morning. Have to finish current one in progress first, but the anticipation is always good.
Thanks for the heads up! I bought the first book a while ago but can’t handle cliffies so I thought I’d wait the next book out ???? can’t wait to read
Thank you so much for introducing me to JF! Got up at 4 AM to read it & I can’t wait to put the kids to bed to finish it! Love it!
It’s in my Kindle, dog at my feet, iced tea in my cup. I don’t expect to sleep much tonight. Happy book birthday Jeaniene! And happy reading to us all!
I have a hold on the ebook copy at my library. I’m #91 on 26 copies of the book. I am hoping the 90 people in front of me are very fast readers. Lol
I love this series and have reread the first book three times last week in prep for today’s release(I do this with ALL Ilona Andrews series & books releases). Just got done reading wicked bite and it was amazing! Getting ready to reread it. Seriously sad to wait for the next book????
Don’t tell my spouse, but I finished at 3 am on the release day.
So if you have never read JF but wanted to get started, where would you start?
Halfway to the Grave would be the best JF book to start with.
I just finished the book. It is a beautiful story filled with magic, love, compassion and redemption. She is a great author with lovely sense of humour. I highly recommend this book. I can not wait for the next one.
