Hey Yall,
I’m back, and this time with an exciting & exclusive giveaway! Y’all have probably realized from the title that Ilona Andrews’s has placed me in charge of hosting the giveaway of 5 signedKinsmen Collector edition copies. This is a super awesome event, for obvious reasons. The copies the lucky winners will be receiving are hardcover & have yet to be even unwrapped.
So how do you win? That’s a good question! Here’s how you can qualify for one of these amazing Kinsmen Collector Editions. On this post, leave a comment saying who is your favorite character in the Kinsmen series and why.
This giveaway is open to all readers; 3 copies will be awarded to US residents and 2 copies will go to international readers. Please be sure to tell us what country you are in to be eligible for the international giveaway. Replies to other comments in the thread do not count as entries.
This giveaway will end on Friday, March 8th.
On Friday, I will use a random number generator to select the 5 lucky winners. Like I said, it will be completely random. But to even have a chance of being selected, you have to comment!
Really, y’all should comment. I mean, just look at how cozy Artha looks cuddling up under the blankets with her copy. That could be you! Except you can probably take yours out of the plastic, she can’t because her track record of eating books rather than reading them.
Once the five winners have been selected, I will make a post officially closing the giveaway. If you’re number was drawn, I will personally contact you to give you the good news & retrieve your shipping information.
That’s all you need to know before you enter a chance to win, so on your mark, get set, comment!
Good luck,
Brandi & Artha

Hi, there! I don’t have a favorite character as I haven’t read these books yet — and that’s shocking to me because I absolutely LOVE Ilona Andrews’ work! I can’t beli these slipped below my radar. I am beyond excited to start reading these since I’m still in mourning over the Kate Daniels series ending and I can hardly wait for the next book in the Hidden Legacy series. Thanks for giving me something to tide me over! ? Jamie — the United States ??

I really like Meli! She is so strong and full of life. I’m from Sweden.
Leia R. says
My favorite character is Meli Galdes because she has style and ninja skills. She doesn’t fall all over a man because he’s “dangerously attractive” and has abs of steel. She decides what she wants and doesn’t compromise who she is for a man.
Natalie says
Hi! I also haven’t read the books yet, but I had read the premise and I would love to get to know Claire, I love warrior women! This is definitely on my top to-read list!
Kristina says

My favourite character is Artha! Haha! Joking aside, I would love to have the hardcopy Kinsmen collection because I only have kindle version now.

Wheee this is very exciting! I find it hard to pick, because both Meli and Claire are my kind of heroine, strong willed and kind hearted, and powerful but hiding the extent of their power. However, I’m a sucker for revenge stories, and Meli’s clever strategy and her way of vengeance was just, wow. So I vote for Meli.
Thank you for the kind opportunity for us, the international readers. Your books are always a delight to read. Love from Indonesia

My favorite character is Claire. She is tough and resilient. I love that she is able to get through such a hard transition. Claire is the best, I would have loved more stories about her and Ven.
Sarah says
Deirdre, because she smart, has a ton of knowledge, and is quick to adapt to events around her.
Beth Dubofsky says
My favorite character is Claire Shannon! She survives through such adversity on Uley and comes out so positive once she’s relocated and adapts to her new environment. I had to re-read my digital ones to remember which character was my favorite! Love these books and wish there were more of them!

There are so many! Claire and Meli are amazing, but then there’s the moms (find them hilarious), Meli’s son, the ‘walked kitten’ (forget name and cat is on lap so can’t get up), etc. Each is given such life and personality.
I call foul, can’t pick just one. -united states
Janie McGaugh says
I don’t currently have a favorite character from the series, because I haven’t read it, yet.
Joanna says
I loved Claire- she was a true leader, protector & knew how to be loyal.
Faith says
Claire Shannon of Silver Shark. I found her story years ago and have read it half a dozen times.
She feels, in an unfeeling world. She protects others. She has honor. She wants, but doesn’t impose. I would adore more stories of her and the kinsmen worlds.
I often feel like the kinsmen world was a precursor to current writing – i want them both!

Claire Shannon is my favorite Kinsman character. I love how protective she is of her team. I also like the way she embraces the vivid colors of her new world.

I think Claire – she is tough, but cares and able to figure out how to survive despite extremely challenging circumstances (but still tries to help others).

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to read this series because for a while only the second book was available on kindle. But, now I have both and it’s only a question of time before I read them. But, I much prefer paper than digital so having the book would be soooo nice :p. I’m from Canada!

Meli because she’s fierce while still keeping a core of empathy and learns to value herself and her independence even after ego-crushing disappointments. Plus I would love to try passion cones!

Chelsea P says
It’s a hard pick but I love Claire. There’s something about her that just resonates with me. ??
Midge Frost says
I love all the kinsman characters as each are fascinating and unique. My absolute favorite are Claire and Ven! I love their powers, how Claire manages to hide here for a while, how she saves people from her mother’s building, and how and Ven interact. I love how they get together, how their powers work together and how they rampage through the opposition. I would love to read more about them.
Alexandra says
I’d have to say Claire because she had very little money or otherwise, but was as caring/nurturing as she could be while being responsible for her team. Being a kickass psycher is also awesome. Made in the USA (and still am in the USA).
verslint says
I haven’t had the privilege of reading these, I’m saving up for the kindle collection at the moment. So if if do have the random luck to win a copy, Yay me!

Erlene Burley says
I have to say my fave is Venturo Escana. I liked him because although he is a strong psycher and a powerful man he also had a soft side. He gave Claire a job, because he wanted to give her a chance even though his aunt was totally against it and she did not fit the criteria for the position. Lots of love for everything you write all the way from South Africa.

Ana says
Silver Shark is one of my go to books when I’m feeling down. A bit of romance, a bit of powers, a bit of space stuff and very well written with awesome characters. So, Claire is my choice.
I’m from Portugal.
Nathalie P says
I love the Kinsmen Universe! It’s a difficult choice but I choose Claire because hers was the first kinsmen story I read!
Nathalie from Scotland
Seth Burke says
Venturo Escana, because he is strong and confident.
Suzanne from Sunny Singapore says
Clair because she showed resilience and fortitude to hide in plain sight.
Susan M. says
I liked all the characters, but after re-reading Silent Blade and Silver Shark again this weekend, I’d have to say Claire Shannon is my favorite. She’s protective of those she perceives as her responsibility, kind, compassionate, loyal, and intelligent. She is very confident in her abilities when it comes to her work but rather insecure in other areas of her new life and in her appeal as a woman, and I think a lot of us can relate to that (including me).
Renea says
I know most people are picking one of the ladies, since I suppose they really are the main characters in the books, but I gotta go with Venturo Escana. He’s smart, sweet, open-minded, and doesn’t hold Claire’s past against her. USA here.
Moritz says
My favorite character is Claire from Silver Shark because she risks a lot to help others when she could have simply stood by and done nothing.
I’m from Germany
Teresa says
I loved Claire in Silver Shark. I loved how she embraced living on Rada and discovered color and texture.
Lydia says
I’m with Clair all the way! She’s talented, respectful, discreet, loyal, and improvises well. I loved watching her experience new things and try different foods! I’m in the US.
Aeriel says
I love Silver Shark! I really like how resilient Claire is, not to mention how the relationship develops between she and Ven. But mostly, Claire is just such a super intelligent bada$$ in her own unique way. – USA
Anne says
I love Meli! She’s strong yet sweet at the same time. -Anne (US)
Lizz D. says
Meli is my favorite all the way. Hers is the first novella of the series I read, and hers is the one that got me hooked. She’s smart, she’s savvy, she knows what she wants, and she takes it. USA here. 🙂
Jenn D. says
Claire kicks ass and I’m a big fan of hers. I love how she’s resilient as hell and so determined to make not just a new life for herself, but an awesome new life.
I’m in the USA 🙂
Karen says
Clair is my favorite. She persevered. She lived in a gray life and embraced the brilliant colors of her new life. She ROCKS! I’m in the USA – Thanks for the give away!!
Vicki says
I will have to go with Deirdre. I enjoyed the compassion and kindness her character showed to the warrior psyche of Lord Nagrad and his people. She was able to look beyond the obvious to find the love and devotion of a strong leader trying to salvage a future for his world. I love happy endings!
