Hey Yall,
I’m back, and this time with an exciting & exclusive giveaway! Y’all have probably realized from the title that Ilona Andrews’s has placed me in charge of hosting the giveaway of 5 signedKinsmen Collector edition copies. This is a super awesome event, for obvious reasons. The copies the lucky winners will be receiving are hardcover & have yet to be even unwrapped.
So how do you win? That’s a good question! Here’s how you can qualify for one of these amazing Kinsmen Collector Editions. On this post, leave a comment saying who is your favorite character in the Kinsmen series and why.
This giveaway is open to all readers; 3 copies will be awarded to US residents and 2 copies will go to international readers. Please be sure to tell us what country you are in to be eligible for the international giveaway. Replies to other comments in the thread do not count as entries.
This giveaway will end on Friday, March 8th.
On Friday, I will use a random number generator to select the 5 lucky winners. Like I said, it will be completely random. But to even have a chance of being selected, you have to comment!
Really, y’all should comment. I mean, just look at how cozy Artha looks cuddling up under the blankets with her copy. That could be you! Except you can probably take yours out of the plastic, she can’t because her track record of eating books rather than reading them.
Once the five winners have been selected, I will make a post officially closing the giveaway. If you’re number was drawn, I will personally contact you to give you the good news & retrieve your shipping information.
That’s all you need to know before you enter a chance to win, so on your mark, get set, comment!
Good luck,
Brandi & Artha

I am from Australia and Meli from Silent Blade is my favourite although it was hard to choose. I want to tough and deadly like her but still able to enjoy cooking.
Samantha says
Meli, because of her cooking skills, but I also have experience with changing yourself so someone will love you, but being rejected. It resonated. I’m on the waiting list for the others from my library.
Sarah says
Claire, especially that first few chapters of her life on Uley, and the difference in the Bionet on the different planets. And how she experiences all these new things and took them in stride. She encouraged me to explore SiFi in books, not just films.

Hi – very tough choice between Meli and Claire for me. So I’m going with Claire because I admired her tenacity, strength of will and her honor no matter how hard the road is.
Thank you for all your universes! I love to live in them….
I’m in the US.
AJ says
I like them all but if I had to pick a fav: Lienne. She cracks me up. (USA)
Julie says
Meli is my favorite character! I love her determination, discipline, and ability to stay true to herself.
George says
USA. Meli, because i’ve only read the first book.
H. Bentham says
Claire is my favorite bec she’s such a badass! ❤️ I’m from the Philippines!
Cheryl says
Celino is my favorite character because he grows into being a better person from his experiences in life. It is nice that he got the happy ending, but clearly that wasn’t his motivation to change since it took two years for the happy ending. I like to think it did it because he had learned it was the right thing to do and he did it with no expectations of reward. (US)
Craig Anderson says
I really loved Claire in Silver Shark although there is not much difference in my appreciation of all of the leading ladies. In fact one of the things I really enjoy about the Kinsman stories is that all of the main characters have real depth in a very short amount of word space.
Ylva says
Deidre from A Mere Formality is my favourite. Razor sharp intellect, unflappable, and as for thinking of turning an almost endless list of sexual positions into a diplomatic negotiation: she’s intriguingly complex and nuanced.
From: Australia.
Fera says
I like all the lead characters in both stories actually, especially the female lead. Claire is like the calm deep sea while Meli is as fierce as fire! I personally love how Meli executes her ‘revenge’ though.
Cheers,
Fera from Indonesia
Carolyn says
Ok, I probably won’t win but I thought I would comment anyway. I have never read the Kinsmen series but I would like to give it a try. Good Luck to everyone entering to win.

I’m in the USA and love your books – I happily gobble them up in one sitting…even if it means shambling in to work the next day like the walking dead! XD
Shoshana Alper says

I’m in the it’s hard to choose category, but if forced I will go with Silent Blade, Meli Galdes. She’s just a bad ass. Love her!
KayLa Weaver says
Meli is my favorite, she doesn’t let her past break her and instead becomes stronger than most people can ever accomplish. She’s also smart and doesn’t let anything get in the way of what she wants. I also liked ” A Mere Formality”, It may have been short but it made me smile and I love the characters! (US resident)
Andrea says
I think my favorite is Silver Shark. Maybe because I live in Florida.

Alexandra McKenzie says
My favorite character is Claire from Silver Shark. While Meli has great points I identify better with Claire, she has been at rock bottom and had to work her way back up. I also liked her relationships with other characters, she is deeply loyal and caring even coming from a society which tried to rip that out of her.
I live in Australia.
Renee Newton says
I live in the US and I like Claire. She goes through a lot of personal growth and fear and yet she never lets this stop her from moving forward. She also never thinks a job is too far beneath her, but strives to do the best job possible at whatever she is assigned, including challenging herself to cooking.
Becca says
I like Claire best – because she’s honorable. But my all time favorite story is Swine and Roses.
Becca says
Oh, and I’m in the US. Sorry. Forgot that part.
Ellie says
I think my favorite would be Meli because she is so independent and bad@$$. She knows her own mind and she values herself.
US here! Thanks for the chance!
Kirsty McLean says
I’m from Australia, and my favourite character is Meli – her backstory was heartbreaking, and I always love an assassin with principles! Thanks for the generous giveaway 🙂
Christine Marie says
Meli is my favorite because of her practical approach to make the best of her life despite obstacles that are out of her control. I love that she refined her talents in melding, cooking, and gardening. And I appreciated that she didn’t fall into Celino’s arms right when he finally realized who she was and how badly he hurt her. I also liked that she did indeed hit him like a brick once she grew up. I’m in the USA.
Lily says
Hi,
I don’t have a favorite character because I haven’t had a chance to read this series.
Thank you for the giveaway, and I’m from France.
Karin Knapp says
My favourite character is Meli because she is smart and strong 🙂
Karin – Austria
Missy says
I like Claire because she owns her look. She decides to be the best she can be for herself, and not others. The job was a catalyst not her defining feature.
Rhonda Schumacher says
I loved all of the characters from the Kinsmen Universe, but for the purpose of this contest I’m going to go with Meli. I was raised with the old meme of the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach so it was very fun to see that idea in play. I adore all of your books and always look forward to whatever you publish next. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
JCY says
Hello from Canada! My favourite character is Claire because she’s Captain Lethal and can kill you with her brain! ?
Mary Elizabeth says
My fav is Meli Galdes
she is a complete package, smart, kind and a fighter. she also has ethics.
she knows when to not let revenge get in the way of her heart.
Jessica C says
I really like Claire, she was prepared to sacrifice her part of herself to survive but she still stuck to her moral code to pay her debt with the other immigrants. Plus, she’s totally a Bada$$
Coming from US – Las Vegas, NV
RA says
Meli Galdes.
She smart, she’s powerful, she’s true to herself, and she knows her own worth.
I love that she never forgot who she was.
As a result, I’ve never forgotten her.
She honored her own path, took the time she needed, and stood by her choices.
I admire the hell out of her.
USA
Lindsay says
I really enjoyed Meli Galdes from silent blade. I honestly loved them all though.
Sharon Bronson-sheehan says
My favorite character is Claire and this is for many reasons. Her can-do attitude and more importantly when faced with all kinds of obstacles she just finally says oh what the heck and goes for it! She takes responsibility not only for herself but those in her care and she’s a very respectable character with silent strength and power. My name is Sharon and I’m from the United States
Katie Mackey says
I’m in California, and I loved Claire and her descriptions of the Bionet.
Rsmona says
Deirdre! (USA)
Ellen Chen says
Claire is my favorite. I like how humble she is, but also fully aware of her talents. I’m in the US
Lisa Phillips says
USA – Alena of swine and roses. Family expectations, what,s right for yourself and doing the right thing because it!s the right thing. A beautiful read.
Kathy says
The dahlias, representing color, are my favorite character. I know they don’t have emotions or intellect. Claire was great. But the differences between the worlds were so clearly delineated by the colors, especially the flowers. It made the story richer.
Kathrin says
Meli! She’s the best!
(Germany)
Marion Tuexen says
My favourite character in the Kinsmen Universe is Claire from ‘Silver Shark’, because she is a survivor with a great inner strength.
Despite her dreary upbringing, war, separation… – she has managed to preserve an empathic and loyal heart… and she stays true to herself, even when faced again by life threatening situations in her new and hard rebuilt life.
Hallo und liebe Gruesse from Germany 🙂
Caro says
Deirdre in A mere formaluty- absolutely brilliant how she is always one step ahead and holds her own in those negotiations. The picture of a whole bunch of people sitting in a room to go over that lengthy list always has me laughing!
Regards from Germany 🙂
Pearl says
Claire is my favorite character in this series. She is one of those people who remake themselves after their lives fall apart. The courage to reinvent our lives, especially in the wake of disaster, is a quality that I admire greatly.
Alexandra says
