Congrats, hope you all have a fun time ????
Wait?! Are you and Gordon going to Kisscon? I bought tickets to see you as soon as they went on sale. Fingers crossed you are.
“Groan” Never mind, it just registered that you meant if someone can’t make Kisscon that you will be in Delaware. Sorry, was a little slow on the uptake there.
If you can take a few extra days off, you might consider, renting a car, and driving through New England. It’s gorgeous up here at the moment.
The colours are glorious, the weather mild, life is good.
Please do not be offended by this suggestion, I mean well. Relaxation is a different thing to every individual.
I can’t see why they would be offended. Whether they can manage it or not it’s an A+ recommendation in my books. I’m in Southern Ontario and this is my favorite time of year. If you get a day where the sun is out and the air is a bit crisp, the leaves are all turned…kinda like today (as I look out the window). Ok, bye, going to drag my husband out for a walk. 🙂
Not offended at all. I have never been to New England but have always wanted to visit. Robert B. Parker’s Spenser series is set in Boston and I have been reading his descriptions of the city and surrounding areas for more than 30 years.
Perfect weather for it, I hope.
Have fun! Enjoy the fall foliage. And the cold.
I’ve had my tickets since the first time I saw it mentioned. See you there!
In honor of Uncasville, reread The Last of the Mohicans!
They’re not actually all that fond of that book on the Mohegan Reservation, which is where the Mohegan Sun is located. Mostly because of how Fenimore Cooper gave most of the country the impression their entire tribe was tragically dead.
Also because it’s lethally boring.
Yup. Great source material and on paper, so to speak, they should be great, but they’re so dreadfully dull.
Autumn in New England is beautiful. I hope you get balmy weather and the best of fall foliage.
Woohoo! Safe travel and have fun^^
I hope that the fact you can attend means everyone is doing better health-wise.
Take care.
+1
Have fun and enjoy! Hopefully the weather will be nice to see the trees change colors. Escape the relatively warm weather here in Texas. ????
If your going to be in CT. May I also suggest you pick up some blackberry oolong from the green teahouse (it’s one of my favorite teas right now????)and stop in New Haven for great food? We’ve have a lot of different types of food and walking through Parts of New Haven near Yale school of medicine can be beautiful.
I can not wait to meet you. ????
Have fun! Enjoy the fall weather and leaves ????.
I am very excited about your Delaware Book Signing! Hope Barnes and Noble stocks up on extra copies of your works, because I know what everybody in my family is getting for the Holidays! Mwuhahaha!
Congrats, best wishes to both of you for an uplifting journey and mucho sales! (And as another poster said, if you can enjoy the gorgeous fall foliage, even better!)
Have a great trip. If you can’t work some R&R in mi have just two words. Room Service.
Really excited about your stop at B&N Christiana Mall DE. I hope to be there —it’s a very rare opportunity for me. Looking forward to actually meeting you!
I hope you both enjoy yourselves. 🙂
I am excitedly anticipating this event. See you there!
Hooray!! Safe travels, and see you at KissCon!
Had it been any other weekend I would’ve been there at kisscon. Unfortunately – prior plans take precedence.
Do post if you are able to do an event in New York at some point!!!
And enjoy the fall colors in Connecticut. 🙂
Have fun and enjoy the cooler weather and the change of seasons tree colors. They can be magnificent.
Too bad I can’t go, but I live on the other side of the country.
Ah, Christiana Mall…one of my old stomping grounds. I bought some of my best work outfits there for my first professional job. Driving up the east coast on 202, my advice would be to avoid rush hour as much as you can, and if you can’t, consider Route 1 as far as it can take you.
Other things not too too far from Christiana Mall (it’s all relative I guess, depending on how much time you have etc.) include Longwood Gardens (hmm, I would imagine that would be what some of the House’s private grounds look like- the former home of DuPont with amazing flowers and topiaries and different gardens everywhere- pricey but nicey), and the Wyeth Museum (right on the Brandywine River) (close to the Wyeth Museum there is also a small PA winery that one can visit, as well as the historic John Chadd house and the Barnes-Brinton house that may or may not be open for visits- can be checked on the website- the latter of which was where I worked as a tour guide in high school).
I would be there with bells on if I…didn’t happen to currently live on the other side of the planet! Still, I’ve read everything you guys have let loose on the world. 😀
So excited to hear about the Delaware event (Christiana mall) — the Connecticut event is 6 hrs away but Delaware is totally do-able!! Can’t wait to see y’all (native Texan here)!
I shot you an email about before the BN/Mall meetup but not sure if you got it. Yell if you are interested!
