I am sorry what is a net gallery?
jewelwing says
I just had to google that. It seems to be a website for online reviewers to post their reviews.
jewelwing says
There is a book cover on the home page with the title “Outrun the Wind”. I had a sudden vision of Ilona trying to dictate.
Eli says
This is so interesting – when I click on the book cover, it links me back to May 30 2018.
I am hoping for time travel to make the triumph come faster, but I would like to go forward in time. 🙂
Teej says
That book rocked! I was also (hee hee) seriously impressed by Elaras ability at producing “frothing”…..
Cori Shaye says
I read that part aloud to my boyfriend. I couldn’t stop laughing. I’m not sure if he humored me by laughing or was laughing at me for my laugh but we both had stitches in our sides.
Mirjaem says
Where was that? I may have devoured too fast

Will you be putting the countdown clock on soon?

Why can’t I be important enough for netgalley to choose me ??
But seriously what do they choose off of anyway? You need to have a blog I’m assuming?
gingkogirl says
NetGalley is a service for professional readers — librarians, book sellers, reviewers, bloggers — to read advanced readers copies (aka as ARCs).
Just checked NetGalley. They are saying it isn’t currently available for request but to put it on your wish list. I have seen this before. Check back in a few hours and try to request it again.
Christine says
Thanks for explaining this…had no idea what it was ?
Will wait patiently for the release day ? unless you guys would like to send me an advanced copy—>lol!
Judy B says
I, also, had no idea what any of this meant, thank you for the explanation. I really appreciate it. Sometimes I feel like a dunce because the conversations around me pretty much seem to be a foreign language.
Cynthia says
Yep!!
lbink says
agree!
Sunny says
I already put myself on the wishlist and now I am just waiting and waiting. When I was waiting for the book to be finished, I was strong and patient, and now.. I can’t focus on work, I’m stress eating, my heart is racing… all in anticipation.. PLEASE let me be chosen
Patricia Schlorke says
Wooohoo! This means the book is almost here! Kate and Curran meeting Hugh (again) and Elara…what a scene that will make. I’m picturing it in my head and chuckling since Curran will want to take Hugh’s head off and Kate and Elara become fast friends after a few awkward minutes. Hugh and Curran looking at their wives and saying “Really?! You two are already friends?! Why??????” Hugh also saying “there’s no justice in this world!”
Christine says
That would be a hoot!!! ?
sarafina says
Conlan will probably find Hugh’s size and demeanor fascinating, not to mention being thrilled by Bucky. Curran’s head will explode when Conlan insists on riding Bucky.
Sara Joy says
Might Bucky’s horn suddenly grow as Conlan rides him? (Ugh, this was NOT meant as a gutter thought, I just haven’t figured how to phrase it better)
roverman says
My mind wasn’t in the gutter until you said gutter, then I laughed.
Ok, I tried and I can’t rephrase it either.
Thanks for ending my workday with a smile.
Judy B says
me too
Susie Q. says
Are you referring to the possibility of Buckey being a unicorn unable to manifest until there is a rider who meets the 100% purity requirements?

Thanks Sara Joy! I needed that spontaneous laugh!

I know!!! I was screaming at the television. The first half of the game I kept screamed “NO! NO!!!!” so much I was exhausted at halftime. My neighbors are used to my behavior during certain soccer games. They haven’t called the cops yet. I will be yelling encouragement on Friday!
Oona says
Congratulation!! Huge win. Amazing game. Has been very unpredictable world cup this year.
Patricia Schlorke says
I agree. When Germany didn’t go further in the World Cup, my jaw dropped. However, when England won their game against Colombia yesterday on penalty kicks, I was clapping and cheering. 😀
Dan says
Hey, sorry you seem to be having a bad week with hurt hands and ridiculously imbecilic emails. You probably kept better track of this than I did (it’s your book after all), but I just looked on Amazon for the best Sci-Fi/Fantasy books of the month and Iron Magic was at the top of my list. Not sure how that is figured exactly, but it looked awesome to me. I also noticed that it’s #3 in the kindle store under Urban Fantasy and #5 for actual books under Urban Fantasy! If it’s not on the wane from #1, then here’s hoping it goes #1 and that you guys make a fortune…. just not quite so much that you stop writing and take up knitting and whatever Gordon does for fun, full time :).
Sara Joy says
With all the descriptions of support characters in the AL’s books about people who love being snipers I hazard a guess at to one way Gordon blows off steam 😉 but that may be Ilona’s alter ego when knitting doesn’t cut it. Who knows?!!
sarafina says
Iron and Magic was at #1 for Kindle iirc already, it may go back with the paperbacks.
Robin_WH says
Any news on audio edition? I know you said you will let us know, but I am just way too impatient, I guess…
Diana says
Eeeeee, yay! I’ve already read Iron & Magic TWICE since it went up on NetGalley, and had the absolute best time writing my review for the blog, Goodreads, & Amazon. Hands down one of the best books of the year. I’m really proud of you guys for how hard you’ve worked on this, and eternally grateful for the repeated chances to read some of these books before official publication. Don’t forget to take some time off for yourselves (and your hands!) — you’ve earned it!
Strangejoyce says
Have read I&M five times already. Sped thru the first time, but have reread to savor it the other four. And will reread some more. *gleeful chuckle*
My top favorite book so far this year. Yep, counting the days until the audio version is ready so I can listen during my commute. And then there will be MT in August———hot damn!
LisaP says
Hi, I have never comented before. I check your blog every week or so and I follow inkeeper with great anticipation. I too have all your books and read and have reread them more times than I can count. Your books are a gift, the detail, completeness and realism allow a suspention of belief that results in an experience that goes beyond simple entertainment. Not just Kate, or innkeeper but everything you write. Old stuff, new stuff, free stuff it’s all without peer.
I am chronically ill with a genetic arthritis disease that attacks the spine. The pain can be horrific at times despite all the meds and interventions inthe world. When it’s bad and nothing is working I return to your books again and again. Your writing is so complete I can suspend belief, disapear into my head and block it out. Thank You.
Dont listen to the haters, you owe us nothing. Not words on demand, not details of your personal life, not anything. Don’t listen to the entitiled, the selfish, the people who think you owe them anything. What you have already given is a precious gift. Even if you never write another word your body of work speaks to us in a language that goes beyond the words on the page. May you recieve blessings, healing and peace in your heart. Thank You for being you.

LisaP, it may be your first time posting on the blog but your summary of the wonderful gift our Authorlords share with us is excellent. I am sorry you have to live with such a painful condition but your positive approach shines through and I’m glad that reading and rereading the Ilona Andrews canon helps you.
I admire your self control in only checking the IA website every few weeks. Unlike you I check the Ilona Andrews blog every morning when I wake! Like you I appreciate what they share with us but don’t believe they “owe” us anything.
I hope you decide to post more frequently. The discussions re each Innkeeper episode and new book releases are informative and entertaining.

I searched on Net Galley and it’s not showing up at all. Anyone have any hints?
gingko-girl says
Cindy,
It is showing up for me but it still will not let me request it. I am going to try to request it again in the morning. I have seen this before and will just keep re requesting it until it goes live.
I found the book when I typed either “Ilona Andrews” or “Magic Triumphs.”
Do you have a US based NetGalley account? The book may only be available to US readers. Sometimes they do that too.
Good luck!
Cindy M. says
Thanks!
Sunny says
You can try and go on the US netgalley website: netgalley.com rather than the uk or other country version

Is it weird that my heart is racing? ??

I am sorry to hear your hands are hurting. Glad to hear it was not diabetes, it’s not fun. A two week break may be hard on you, but you will better for it. Dragon dictation will make you laugh. Be good. Have a great Independence Day.
Lora says
Just downloaded the book. I’m going to savor it over the coming weekend! Ilona, want you to know that some of us out here (you know, the ones that appreciate your GIFT of Innkeeper) hope you will find joy in writing it again.
Please take care of yourself and the rest will follow. Sending support and hugs.
Amy says
For every 1 negative comment you receive from someone, you actually need 5 positive comments just to get back to baseline so this is my positive comment! I’m so glad it wasn’t diabetes and please, get some rest and try not to work yourself to death. 🙂 Thank you for writing and sharing your talents with us. Do not listen to anything negative that anybody has to say. You don’t owe us anything and I’m grateful that you brush the haters off and continue to write and share your gift with us. You’re the reason I got into urban fantasy and I love the strong female characters in all your books. We appreciate you!

OK BDH; this is not innkeeper related, but i’m hoping you guys can help. I know that the Author Lords have fans everywhere and my son is going to Perth Australia in 2 weeks for a study abroad semester and hopefully some site seeing when he’s done. does anyone have any suggestions for a 19yr old? he’s looking for stuff to do while classes are going on and stuff for after the semester is over since he’s hoping to stay in Australia for at least a couple of extra weeks. Thanks. P.S. if this post is a no-no, I apologize in advance.

If you have VPN you can “relocate” & pretend you are browsing from the US…
If you don’t have, try TunnelBear, it’s free & easy to set up
