Hi guys, sorry about the technical issues with the first twitch session. Our software conked out on us.

We’ve received many emails regarding the inability to attend the twitches and signing due to professional and personal obligations and the unfairness of it, so Nevada’s bribe snippet will be posted today or tomorrow on the blog for everyone.

  9. I only got to see part of the Twitch session had to go get in the dreaded car line. I had a question for you guys but I couldn’t remember my login or password for my Twitch account. I haven’t used it since your last session. Don’t know if you’ll see this but maybe someone can tell me. Since it was house warfare with the assassins wouldn’t their headquarters be spoils of war like Brick?

  10. Thank you! I couldn’t see the first session on the scheduled time and I tried to watch it later on your Twitch channel. But I could see only 1 clip 30 seconds long ???? And I tried my best to finish Sapphire flames before the streaming so I could watch it!
    At least I will read Nevada’s snippet ????

  11. Hi, thanks for the upcoming snippet and for the Twitch sessions. I was at work and only got part of the session, will there be a replay of one or both sessions? Sorry if this is a silly question, I am unfamiliar with Twitch and most programs like that.

    • +1 … only I missed the entire 1st session. Hoping to catch the second one later today, but it won’t let me set a reminder as it says it happened in the past. Has anyone else had the same problem?

      • I thin it’s because they aren’t up to a certain number of followers. Hopefully they saved the video and will upload somewhere at a later date.

  13. I appreciate that you will be posting it but I have to say that whatever you decide to do with your material is totally fine with me.

    I would have joined buy my husband blocked Twitch from our modem so that our teens wouldn’t try to watch Rubik’s Cube speed solving videos when they were suppose to be doing their online school 🙂 #momlife

    You guys are the best and I hope the book sells many many copies 🙂

  14. Thank you! I was able to listen in during the first session. I plan on listening in on 2nd session tonight. It was nice to see which dog was the muse for Shadow. Cute dog. 😀

    All I ask is that you keep writing in between times of rest. I don’t care what book comes out next. It’s all good.

      To everyone in the BDH in Florida and the Southeastern part of the U.S., please be safe. As I was watching the Weather Channel a few minutes ago, there is a possibility that hurricane Dorian may become a category 5 storm. After seeing that, I thought “I’m so glad Ilona and Gordon decided to stay in Texas and not moved to Florida.”

  26. As a person who does not join stuff on the Net I am thrilled to wait for the Nevada snippet on the blog. The more I think about the new book the more new directions I see these stories going. It is nice to see older characters have vital rolls in these books. Linus and Grandma Victoria are very interesting and painted very realistically. As you can surmise I am a senior citizen who often feels overlooked and downgraded.

  35. Thank you! Obligations and broken appliances prevented me from joining you. I loved SF and am about to start a reread of the entire series (yes, again) from a different perspective. Now I am greedy for more. But take your time and don’t get burned out. I’m enjoying all of these characters way too much for them to have a short life!

      • Did you notice that Tuna made a cameo appearance in SF?
        The giant orange cat was named Tuna and nicknamed Baby. Since Tuna is almost a twin to my first Maine Coon (Brandark), she is going to be large, even though the pictures of her from several years ago didn’t give a good idea of scale.( Karat, my current Maine Coon, is 13 1/2 pounds at 16 months. She could keep growing for another 6 months, though probably not.)

  40. Enjoyed the twitch session this morning. It was really neat, loved the family interactions reminded me of mine. It was My first time, had my son help me set it up last night.

    My daughter was telling me that there is a way to save the stream so that people can view it later. I went to share it and could only find clips from viewers.

    I signed up for twitch but wasn’t awake for the live sessions (Australia here) and I just went into twitch but it doesn’t say there are any clips/videos to watch.
    Can you only watch twitch live?

  44. It was really lovely seeing you two. My favorite part was when someone asked “what kind of creature is Shadow, really?” and Ilona went and got Shadow. And Beast. And hearing the snark with Kid2. I wish we’d had more time, but perhaps next Twitch Q&A (not session 2 now, but for future books…)

    Questions:
    – is Arabella the only one with a rainbow of magic? Two magics seems like lefthandedness. Rare but known. And what is more desirable: strength or flexibility?
    – Love, love, loved the mirroring scene of Alessandro talking her off the ledge? What IS this connection they have?!? Yes, I’m pre-ordering everything as soon as you put it up on Amazon!
    – Why is Augustine still doing them favors? Is that for Rogan since they are specifically not taking anything from him and Nevada? Did they get another reprieve because everyone misinterpreted their vassal status to Montgomery like Diatheke?
    – What do Rogan, Victoria, and Linus have in the works after the Baylor’s 3 years expired so anti-climactically? Sounds like survival rates are crap, and they must have some strings pulling behind the Baylor pride!
    – Are the Woods allies or just against House Madero?
    – and what is the answer to “Catalina has wings. Can she fly?” from the Twitch session???

  48. I managed to lose track of time twice today and both times it was the specific time of the Twitch event. So sorry I missed them.
    Thank you for the thought of posting the link here. I was resigned to waiting for the “funnies” to show up elsewhere.
    I had (and still have) no intention of complaining about having to wait. My personal opinion is when someone offers you a lovely gift, it’s sorta rude to make a fuss if it takes a while to show up.
    The glitch was not your fault. Too bad it hit you just when it did , but it sounds like at least some of the time it worked.
    Thank you for doing this for us. We really appreciate it (Or else, you guys. You know who you are -)

  59. Thanks. I attended the twitch session(#2), and really enjoyed it. And, this is from someone who is on no other social media, just yours. I loved the questions, some of which I probably would’ve asked myself, and most of all I loved seeing what a team both of you are. Being married, and working together, has it’s own set of problems, but it was really nice to see the connection and respect both of you have for each other. The session was worth it just for that.

    Peace and blessings to both of you, and again, thank you for your wonderful books. You are my favorite authors. I can’t wait to see how the Baylor Family grows, and how Catalina develops into her role as head of the house and as a person.

  65. Yay! Feed the horde. Snippets are delicious. Having read the removed scene from Saphire Flame (ramming the safe room), prior to getting the book made me feel like an insider when i read it. Catalina had no idea why they took Brick. But I knew ????????????

    I enjoyed my read of Sapphire Flame (it went by so fast, as all good books do).
    I loved the comic relief that “Bug” gives.
    Who got to come up with the names and descriptions of people he uses?
    Or Am I so old I don’t know the current ones going around.

  68. So I’m just obsessing on this. When Bern left the room after Runa and Catalina was surprised because Bern hadn’t left the house much since graduating, was the surprise due to:

    1) Bern leaving at all
    or
    2) Bern possibly being interested in Runa?
