Bwah ha ha ha. Thank you, Ilona Andrews for the post. You might need to get moderator r some chocolate. I don’t remember what Rose had for Jack as emergency bar in the Edge series but I have done that for years. The BDH can be a bit overwhelming at times.

To the cross-over fans here, is it best for a newbie to read Frost‘s series in published order or do people recommend starting with a later series first?
Umm. Little tricky. If you start at the beginning of her night huntress books, you’ll meet Ian and Vlad. They’ll grow as her characters grow throughout the books. Vlad’s last book sets up Ian’s story arc. If you just read Ian’s trilogy, you’ll have to interfere some of the details (the current characters do recaps of what you need to know). If you’re short on time, it will work, but why rob yourself of the full experience 🙂
She does a really great recap in the books. I did not finish Vlad’s last book, and was ok to start Ian’s. There is a crossover there but I didn’t have to go back to get the details.
However, Kat and Bones are awesome too! Enjoy which ever way you decide to go

Also, I remember reading somewhere about the Alpha Origins and how you dropped it because it was outside your genre and not what your established readership expected. Have you considered doing darker stuff under a different name? Like Schwab does?

Priyamwada, Ilona mentioned they’re having a hard time doing Hugh & Elara right now because it’s dark, and quite frankly it seems they’re exhausted of dark due to the interesting times we’re leading. So I’m gonna guess that’s a hard no for the darker stuff.

I’m also super-exhausted now & finding it hard to work. My guess is that my adrenals are drained, so I’m going to try to balance aerobic exercise, sleep, and my Dragon Herbs chi builder supplements. I thought it was just mental, but that’s really never true, as we’re really mindbody and not mind-body. Sigh. Anyway, I understand maybe a little of what you are going through Ilona!
