Thank you, guys. This was a lovely release. I meant to post all the lists last week but I was just exhausted.

    Also, thank you for mentioning yak treats for dogs. I Googleyit, found a store and now my dog believes you are the dog fairy. I will try to get a picture showing her enjoyment of this new item in her world. Unfortunately, she disappears for hours to her hiding place(under the table) to enjoy said treat. Thank you.

    • Too, too true. I have the same problem with an all white cat. Most of Bahzell’s pictures look like a cotton ball with gold eyes and a pink nose.
      Ilona is a much better photographer than I.

  33. SQUEEE!!! I loved the book and had to listen and when not listening I read the book as quick as I could. Then the hubby wanted to listen to it, so I started it for a third time. Hehe, love the Baylor family. Moar moar moar.

  36. I bought it i hardback, and the cd! Love it both ways, and want to support you every way that I can.
    After all, you live in Texas, instead of the very agricultural , between mountain ranges of upstate NY (think Vermont) that I live in, where nights are hitting 50s and days are beautiful, sunshiney, in the 70s F.

    • Could you please send your cooler weather our way to Texas? We’re in the mid 90s with the nights are still in the 70s.

    • Driving through the neighborhood on the way home once saw a cat that very much resembled Salem. Stopped the car, rolled down the window and yelled at her to go home. It wasn’t her. I just yelled at someone else’s cat.

  52. Congrats! Looking forward to next books. In addition to Catalina’s story, will be seeing more of Bern’s romance of Runa? Will the houses unite? Given Leon’s dislike of Ale, would be amusing to see him fall for Ale’s sister in future books. (For some reason, I suspect Arabella will end up with Augustine’s younger brother.)

    • I don’t know why, but I see Arabella with John Pine, the oldest son of House Piney. He’s the one from the snippet/deleted scene/whatever posted recently about Catalina and Arabella collecting payment from House Piney. The one who was “disturbingly casual” about wanting to kill his cousin. He seems like he’d be able to appreciate Arabella.

      • I think Arabella will rope in Augustine. He likes it orderly and controlled – and she is Anything but.

    • Oh lord, I sincerely would sell a kidney and like 4 of my toes to get a trilogy with Arabella. Don’t get me wrong, Nevada and Rogan will always be #1 in my heart, and Catalina and Alessandro are my spirit animals, but man, Arabella’s books would be so damn funny, I can’t even imagine…

  53. Congratulations!! You two so deserve it! I loved the book and thought the narrator did a great job! I normally would just read the ebook but I have a one year old now so have to sneak in my book fix any way I can and audible is working best for me at this point. I play it in the car when cleaning on some ear plugs or while he is passed out napping on me, etc. Anyways, I loved it!!

    Also, I absolutely love those flowers. I wonder if those would grow in SC. haha.

  70. Congratulations. I have to tell you that I never end a book and then, immediately, start over. If I am going to start over, I wait a few days to let things “settle in”. With this book, I not only started over immediately, I did it twice. Read the book 3 times in three days. It is that rich in content. I am so delighted with your talent. I can’t wait for the next book, the next one in any of your series.

    Lest you think that I am either a bored lady of leisure or have a very small library, I am an audiobook reader who is moving. Packing boxes needs an iPod and headphones. Audible and I are good friends and I can check additional titles out from the local Digital Library. I still read your “Sapphire Flames” over and over again.

      I loved the Hidden Legacy series with Nevada as the chief protagonist and wondered if Catalina would be as good. She is great! Different from Nevada but equally as terrific. I love how you have revealed her strengths, weaknesses, confidence and insecurities with the underpinning of loyalty ,determination and “ steel blue, blade straight “ integrity that makes her such a wonderful character.     The critters are beyond cute. I love kitty paws with the fur sticking out between the toes. Shadow’s expression is pure dachshund. (30+ years of dachshund ownership here.) That “What did I do?” look is so typical.

    On a personal note, really loved the story. As much as I enjoyed Nevada’s series, I liked this one (at least the first book anyway) more. Even more than the Kate Daniels.     I was so sad when I finished Sapphire Flames I had to go back and re-read all of them. Then I was sad again, so I had to go back and re-read all the Innkeeper books. I just finished them all. Now I’m sad again!
    Gotta go pull out all my Kate books now. Getting happy again….

    • I think it’s out? It appeared on my library hold list (I recommended it for purchase before it was available). I bought the Kindle version, but can’t let myself start buying everything in audio too.

    (P.s. have ordered from Wish before and got what I ordered. The trick was reading the descriptions fully to ensure I got what I was expecting. I was trying to order steam punk goggles and found a couple of entries that showed goggle pictures but were actually only the lenses…

  133. What I do with Wish is get ideas about things I might want and then I go to eBay and find the same thing for half the price. Just be careful of buying clothes or shoes. Even they larger sizes they are still much smaller than US sizes.

  140. I’ve been meaning to drop a note about how much I loved this book. I just love this whole universe and I’m still randomly thinking about and giggling over things in the book. And I finished it 4 days ago.

  142. I bet those are blue phalaenopsis orchids. They don’t occur in nature but use a dye process that is picked up by the flower. They sure are pretty though. You can find them in flower shops, online flower shops, etc.

  144. Well deserved, Catalina fully developes into the beautifully snarky universe you have created and now fully stands on her own with this story. Without it being a spoiler, having an Alfa Romeo in the story cracked me up,as someone with experience with them if you drove it like in the story,it would end up a mass of oil covered metal lying on tne road (though Alfa’s have one advantage when being chased by bad guys, the oil they tend to drip is a great way to cause the bad guys car to spin out). On the other hand being well off Alessandro would be the perfect Alfa owner,he could own 10 of them so at least one would be running!

    FYI,I don’t know if it was intentional, but the character with the name Mira Fiore is the same as the name of Fiats main plant in Torino, Mirafiore ..

    Anyway,a great story that caused me to stay up late reading it and I wait for the next installment to see if Catalina and Alessandro get their HEA and if Rogan and Alessandro have the obligatory mano et mano fight so they can bond;)

In the snippet where Leon helps reduce Bab y, he states he got the client to sign a waiver and I assumed it was so they were not liable for damages but later they get a bill. So did I misinterpret?
