The limited edition print of Innkeeper Volume 2 by Subterranean Press has arrived safely at the publisher’s warehouse and started shipping to the Book Devouring Horde! Much rejoicing was heard over the land.
If you have not received your dispatched email yet, fear not, shipping extends into next week too. You can contact info@subterraneanpress.com for any other checks or admin.
If you didn’t get one yet and wish you had: you’re in luck!
200 copies are still looking for a Horde to call home! Once they are sold out, they are gone forever, as Subterranean Press does not reissue editions.
Reminder that this is the second volume of the Innkeeper Collector Edition. It includes Sweep of the Blade (Maud’s novel), Sweep with Me (Dina novella), the unfinished short Gerard and Helen Meet and the Jack and George in School short story.
These are printed, hardback books, fancy collector editions with illustrations that readers buy as keepsakes. They have:
- A Full-color wraparound dust jacket
- 2 full-color, full-page interior illustrations
- 9 interior black-and-white illustrations
- A sewn binding for a lifetime of enjoyment
The art is created by the very talented Luisa Preissler.
There is no new content included, because House Andrews want the Innkeeper adventures to be available to everyone, not contingent on buying premium formats.
Let’s see if I can read your mind for questions, as someone said I could:
The series is not over.
The Innkeeper Chronicles will continue, very likely with a Maud POV book telling us all we want to know.
There is no date for its release yet, and it’s not certain whether it will be a blog serial at this time. It will tie off the missing parents arc, so it may be more than we can handle. Although, I’m certain we’d like to volunteer as tributes for that particular experiement.
Any sequels will be available as before, in e-book, regular paperback and audio formats accessible to all, whether it does go through serialised format first or not.
How did I do? Should I send for that crystal ball?

One crystal ball on order.

Jacqueline McDonald says
Me too! Is there any way that the first volume can be reprinted over time? I contacted Subterranean Press and they don’t seem interested in a reprint which seems weird to me given the response on Volume 2. There are only two first volumes available to buy and they are for sale at $750 which is just way outside by ability to purchase. I have to think the BDH has grown significantly since the first volume was printed.
Jacqueline McDonald says
The “Me too” was that I had just placed an order….
Nina A says
Jacqueline- As a regular Subterranean Press customer, I can tell you it is really, really, unlikely. Their market is generally, collectors, and later printings are just not really done in that market.

I ordered some Dunon Tea Mugs from a cute little store in Prince Edward Island Canada. I also scrouged the Dunoon USA store in the UK. I have been warned that package delivery is starting to take longer because of the “Dreaded Winter Holidays Shopping Wars”.
I also wanted to get all my out of country shopping done before the tariffs go into effect. Thankfully, my custom mix order of Lindt Chocolate Pistachio Truffles has arrived to sooth my poor frazzled nerves. Now to make a nice pot of Irish Breakfast Tea.
Jean says
Lindt Chocolate Pistachio Truffles?! Sounds amazing!! Can I find these on their website? Thanks for info!!
MariaZ says
https://www.lindtusa.com/shop-chocolate/lindor-pick-and-mix
Yes, I do the custom mix, just click on Pick & Mix.
Tink says
Pick & Mix? Oooh.
::chanting:: Don’t click on the link. Don’t click on the link.
Aaannnddd I clicked on the link.
Regina says
Oh my, soooo many delicious new falvors to experience!
Is it ridiculous that I want the $154.00 mix-n-match box?
MariaZ says
No it is not ridiculous. Remember it is online shopping and no one can see you do it.
Sage says
a word of warning; we in Canada are receiving notices of impending Postal Strike!

Just had my knitting zoom and a member is in Canada and their yarn order has been marked as late bc of strike….very sad knitters in CA right now.

So it will be probably home for Christmas, lovely! <3

love the innkeeper series, Maude’s book is particularly amazing. also the graphic audio versions are brilliant, a very entertaining re-listen each time. cannot wait for the next installment, but let’s be honest I can’t wait for any of the upcoming stories from Gordon and Ilona.
Heather says
Clearly, you do not need a crystal ball. You did fine without it, lol.
Patricia Schlorke says
I got my email saying my book is shipped today. 🥳😎
You don’t need a crystal ball, Mod R. You know the Horde too well. 😉
Patricia Schlorke says
Those of us who are in the US based BDH, the book is shipping from Michigan. According to the US Post Office tracking, you may get your book well before Thanksgiving.
I am excited to see that I will get my book before going on a road trip to see my family for Thanksgiving. 😀
Amelie says
Oh I did not know the next Innkeeper, whenever it becomes available, would beMaud’s POV. I guess this makes sense if it’s centering around her wedding to Arland? Though I wouldn’t mind having Dina narrate the goings on of a vampire wedding because then we’d be privy to Sean rolling his eyes at everything on Daesyn.
Luisa is so talented! I am happy with my Innkeeper books but I’m sure they’ll make some great holiday gifts for some of our dear BDH.
Judy Schultheis says
I am one of the vanishing small number of the Horde who do not consider certain words to be swear words. If I know it’s coming, I can wait, and everything that I want to read by House Andrews will arrive eventually.
It does help that another couple of authors whose books I thoroughly enjoy keep putting stuff out, too.
Bea says
Got my email 🙂 Looking forward to receiving the book (hopefully in time for Christmas)
Stephanie says
*Subtly/sneakily pushes one of the 200 into my cart*

You did very well, answered my questions anyway, I bow down to you o great oracle.lol.

❤️❤️ “ The Innkeeper Chronicles will continue, very likely with a Maud POV book telling us all we want to know.”❤️❤️
Love the whole series but Maud is my favorite!!!!
Kate says
The “Gerard and Hellen Meet” story reminds me of something I have wondered about. Do we think the house Gerard is trapped in is actually Magnolia Green that was somehow trapped along with him and hidden inside an ordinary seeming house?
Amanda P says
wow that looks gorgeous!
thanks first sharing 😃
Frances says
Mod R, whatever House Andrews pays you it isn’t enough! You provide the BDH with such exemplary service.
Your post sent me into a bit of a panic because I remembered planning to preorder but, because we were in the throes of buying a new house, selling our previous house, moving etc etc, I couldn’t remember actually ordering it.
After successfully checking through the blog posts to ascertain relevant dates, checking credit card statements ( critical statement seems to be missing) , trying to log into Subterranean to check order history ( darn what was that password?!) I checked my email inbox for the relevant dates and voila! there is a email acknowledgment that I preordered. Then of course my husband walked in and said “ oh is that the book you said was very expensive but it’s your favourite series and would I like to buy it for you for Christmas ? I remember saying “ Order it and we’ll put it away when it arrives.”
Now all I have to do is wait patiently ( the BDH’s favourite activity ) till I receive the dispatch email and I can hope US mail and Australia Post cooperate in getting it to me before Christmas.
Crescent Wells says
How do I order this?
Moderator R says
Hey Crescent,
You can follow the link in the article https://subterraneanpress.com/andrews-ticv2/ or go to the Subterranean Press website and search “Innkeeper” 🙂
Hyna says
Great ! I hope it will arrive in Europe before the 15th of Dec, as I may move out of my apartment after that date🤞🏼
Hyna says
Why not having 2 final Innkeeper books ? One from Dina’s, and one from Maud’s POV.
What? I’m not the one who will deal with double the stress, double the edits and double the writing time, so I have no right to ask you of this ?
Ok then… I’ll wait and take whatever you write 🤣
Don’t forget to rest, because health is the most important thing, and stress is an horrible thing that creates a lot of problems.
Cheers to all of you and the pets❤️
Bibliovore says
Who said they were final books?

Thankgawd!!!
(I’m still waiting for Attura to make another appearance and Mrs. Officer to come for Xmas and swap cake recipes with Orro)
Jim says
You are such a teaser. I can not wait for the next Innkeeper.
Jane C says
Thank you for this update. The special edition looks very attractive and the artwork is absolutely amazing. A wonderful painting of Maude!
I’m looking very forward to the continuation of The Innkeeper series! Innkeeper is my favorite. I think the ideas are so unique, and I just love the characters.
I’m so interested in finding out about Maude and Dina’s parents and the Sebastian North mystery. I look forward to hearing about the wedding and the new door to Arland’s planet.
I love the mini story of Dina and Maude’s parents!
Regina says
+1
Nic says
I love the graphic audio versions of these, but am getting an itch (developing a twitch) to buy all of the books in print. But I am running out of space to place physical copies. Hubby says patience is required, and I ask “Do you wish to discuss?”
Kim says
I am begging you, finish the story.
djr says
Oooh, thank you so much for the heads up on the shipping! Mine has not yet been shipped, but I can do the necessary and w*it 🙂 ModR, we (and HA, no doubt) would be lost without you!
Nani says
I discovered “The Innkeeper Chronicles” last week and have been listening to the graphic audiobooks at works. It is an incredible jouney to listen too. This is to me my favorite book discovery of this year. I am so happy that this serie will continue. I have been trying to find fanart to help me visualise the characters, wich led me to here. Officialy new fav author, I am going to start listening to another series of Ilona.
mz says
Welcome to the Book Devouring Horde (BDH), Nani.
We are all very nice here …. except to the Author Lords when we become impatient because we want more books NOW.
Nani says
Thank you ! I will patiently wait then but I have a lot of books to catch up to so that will help 😊
Patricia Schlorke says
Welcome to the Horde, Nani! 🙂
When the Horde pushes for more books too much, and get reminded, we back off very fast. This is called being fluffy and/or chalant.
Moderator R says
Still trying to make flufhant happen!
#Fetch 😀
Patricia Schlorke says
Mod R, your Rudolph avatar is cute. 😀
mz says
I am happy that the Maud POV will be coming when the AL have the energy. Thank you, guys.
(Was I polite enough? I didn’t mention the need for speed. I didn’t mention “what about Arabella, Kate in North Carolina 3, more Roman”. I restrained myself to be nice and polite. After all, I am a Canadian)
Stacy says
you forgot Hugh
Stacy says
I’m so excited that I actually got to purchase this one. The Innkeeper Chronicles have been my comfort listen on audiobooks for the past couple of really hard years. I wish I had not missed out on volume one. The only used copy is going for $750 right now. Still, I’m very, very happy that I’m getting volume II and look forward to the next installation.
Patricia Schlorke says
That’s a lot of money for someone to get a used copy of volume 1. Wow!
Breann says
I also wish I hadn’t missed Volume 1! I’ve asked Subterranean, but they said no reprints. I debated not getting this, since I didn’t have #1 and don’t like an incomplete set, but decided I’d wish even harder if I missed them both. A partial set us better than none at all, right?
Sechat says
Not to mention Klaus’ story????
Proud Bookworm says
Thank you, thank you, Mod R! Both for the update on the next book and the information on extra books needing homes. One less is now available and my husband has less Christmas shopping to do. 😊
Robyn says
Thanks for the info! I couldn’t afford the special subterranean edition before, but was able to now! Yeah!
MJ says
You did very well, because the Blog appeared shortly before I could send an e-Mail to you and ask about it. 😉
Sadly, I did not get an Shipping Order Confirmation so far.
But there is light on the Horizont!
I really had a very bad week, and this makes my day! Finally good News.
DavidK44 says
My copy arrived today. Excellent edition, and a great match to the first volume. I’ve already re-read the two shorts at the end, and will probably revisit Maud’s adventures on the Vampire Planet again for the nth time…
christina savva says
i would prefer it be Dinas point of view cause she is the one shown in the books struggling with her parents missing and looking for them and so on.
Lora Tyler says
Thanks so much! I would love to hear more about Gerard and Helen after she buys the house. That would be amazing! 🤩 no pressure though…
Richard says
While I literally cannot wait for the next in the Innkeeper series, I do wonder why the Andrews team hasn’t written at least a decent length novella, or better yet, an entire novel on Helen and Gerard, their getting together, trials in doing so, etc. It would be a fantastic book.
Mina says
Maud POV ⚔️🤩💪🏼🦹🏻♀️👸🏻🧛🏻♀️
Yvonne says
Not that HA needs more ideas, but a short story set at Casa Feliz, maybe featuring one of Tony’s sisters would be fun. Dina would probably love to get to know some Innkeeper women from her own generation. 🙂
Henry says
Tongue in cheek, sly grin on my face and one foot scratching the dirt.
IKC II cost $48 per pound and IKC I cost $25 per pound. At least I don’t need to brace my arms to hold IKC II while reading it. Note fractions of an ounce not considered.
Current weight on my kitchen scale.
IKC I is 3 pounds
IKC II is 1 pound 14 ounces
Bahstan Girl says
Maud! My favorite, along with Arabella. What about George/Lark HEA? If ever a pair of tortured souls..
Of course, still would love to see (off in the distance) Julie’s further adventures (Derek) , ditto Helen as she grows up, Conlan, all the babies.
Happy Holidays all, my comfort zone is House Andrews, the best Mod ever and the BDH.. some good folks right there.
Kay says
Yes, crystal ball
Carolyn says
Hi! This isn’t on-topic for Innkeeper, but I wanted to share anyway. My father enjoys fantasy novels but is very picky about what books he actually likes. He’s been borrowing my Kate Daniels collection and in Magic Rises, he was so excited to share this with me about Lorelei’s book with the princess in the crystal (pg 189):
“Edding’s Elenium trilogy is about knight Sparhawk journeys to find a blue jewel named Bhelliom that has been carved into the shape of a rose so that Queen Elena can be freed from the crystal that she is enclosed in and cured of the poison. They do get married, but he only becomes the Prince Consort, not the king. Eddings had died about four years before this book came out, but at least one of the authors has read the story!”
I’m so delighted that he found this amazing deep cut and that he’s loving the Kate Daniels as much as I do! Thank you for all your hard work and dedication!
Simone says
Thanks for letting us know. Ordered.

Ahh jack and george. miss the two.

It arrived today! And as usual with Subterranean, a beautiful book. Going on the shelf now, right next to Vol 1.

Not really related to this post, but I was in a pretty terrible car accident on Thursday and I just wanted to say I am so grateful about the dramatic adaptations of all of your books. They are really fantastic and the only thing keeping me occupied while I’m not allowed to have screen time due to concussion and a broken arm. Good luck with Maggie. Can’t wait to read that either.
Patricia Schlorke says
Get well soon, Ara.
Patricia Schlorke says
I got my copy last night. When I heard the knock from the post office, after I said “just a minute” to let them know I was home, I was saying “it’s here! It’s here!” I wasn’t even trying to be chalant, fluffy, or flufchant (a Mod R mashup). 😀
When I was putting the book on my bookcase, I noticed Arland’s picture on the book’s dust jacket on the spine.
Thank you very much for this book.
Steve L says
That looks and sounds amazing. People who buy one will treasure it I am sure.
Johanna J says
My copy arrived yesterday. It’s beautiful! ❤️ Thank you Subterranean Press and House Andrews.

It looks like this is now sold out. Unfortunately it looks like my copy got lost, as it says delivered but never arrived. Would I need to check with Subterranean Press for this?

Yes, of course, please email them at info@subterraneanpress.com for any delivery issues.
