As some of you remember, Clean Sweep was adapted into comic book format by Tapas. It has been licensed by Andrews McMeel and released as a beautiful graphic novel. Because of the length, Clean Sweep was broken into 2 volumes.

The second volume of Clean Sweep will be released on January 28th. Tada!

To be clear: this is not Sweep in Peace. It’s the second half of Clean Sweep. The comic book expanded the story and added new characters.
When the first volume was released, Andrews McMeel offered these stickers below as a giveaway. As an aside, they have been an awesome publisher to work with. Highly recommend.

There was some butthurt regarding people not being able to buy the stickers.
The stickers for Volume I featured cute versions of the characters. These cutified characters are called chibis. In the example below, top panel is regular art and the bottom part is chibi art. Usage of chibis in comic books usually indicates light-hearted or funny moments when a character is comically upset, for example.

Andrews McMeel just asked us about the stickers for Volume II. BDH, we need your help!

And

Let your opinions flow!
First?
Very excited for Volume II
!!!!
My answer to whether I would buy the stickers is dependent on whether they are regular or chibi. So I will refrain from answering the second question.
If I were to buy the stickers at all, I’d prefer the chibis. However, as I’m in Europe and there can be many issues with customs etc when ordering from the US, buying anything would depend on shipping prices and methods. For that reason I’ve voted I wouldn’t buy them, as that is the more likely outcome.

Pre-ordered. Now I need to find the first volume – I have books stacked everywhere at the moment.
I loved Vol 1 and pre-ordered Vol 2…I’m so glad it will be in my greedy and needy little hands soon! 😂
I have a very silly question though: I don’t remember the stickers give-away from Vol 1…was that done via this blog, or via some other site (maybe publisher’s site?)
Also, I voted that I would not buy stickers, but it depends on the price…might be a nice keepsake!
Ooooops, nevermind…..please ignore my question about the give-away. I found it on the blog. (Had I been really clever, I would have looked for it BEFORE asking about it!) 😂
Have a great week!
will we potentially be able to buy BOTH sets of stickers or is this really only about purchasing the stickers for part 2 of clean sweep? Thanks for the clarification!!
The stickers don’t depict plot, so it won’t be a part 1/part2. It’s just the graphic novel characters 🙂
I 💗stickers and Graphic novels! Will buy both! Thanks for letting us vote.
Whoo-hoo, a Comic book & STICKERS!! 1980s here I come, lol.
I am so waiting for Jan. 28th, thank you for the opportunity to purchase the stickers. I like to place them on my Ipad cover and Ironflask.
I would love some Clean Sweep stickers, so I voted that I would buy them. But I really can’t decide on which, so I didn’t pick a type. I think it kind of depends on which scene they’re doing. 🤷♀️ But if it matters, I would rather it be your original characters and not the new ones. (They are fine, but not what I want to stick on my cup. I don’t love them like the OG characters.) Thanks for asking! 🤗
Fyi, the Kindle version of volume 1 is on sale for $1.99.
I already have the paperback, but I bought the ebook because it’s easier for me to find. 😊
This! I bought it this week as well. Prefect time if anyone isn’t sure the comic version will be their cup of tea. How can you go wrong with being able to find out for this price??
Cute but no idea what I’d do with them. Am also in Europe so probably wouldn’t buy them.
I agree / I don’t understand the appeal to adults. But stickers are certainly popular.
I’m just trying to imagine a chibi Caldenia. Or a chibi Lord Soren. But oddly I have no problem imagining a chibi Helen talking about “ripper cushions,” I can just see the big eyes and cute little fangs.
I want all the stickers! I have the first volume, but didn’t know there were supposed to be stickers (maybe it was because I bought it through Amazon). Now I want stickers! I might have a sliver of my laptop case peeking through. lol
preordered 🙂
I didn’t vote for the stickers yay or nay because postage to Australia is so expensive, so YES I want stickers but also NO because I can’t afford to sell a kidney for postage haha
Wheeeeeee!!!!!!! *scampers to preorder*
hello kitty is a chibi cat if that helps. it’s big head, little limbs, minimal detail style. hello kitty is still clearly a cat, but is out of proportion.
shocking new thing i learned recently: hello kitty is, in fact, NOT a cat. they claim she’s a little girl.
I stand corrected. chibi, but apparently not cat 🤣
Stickers! Stickers! Stickers!
Please! Please! Pllleeeeeeaassssse!!!!!!!!!
Oh my word, what is the difference… totally clueless on what a “chibi” is 🙂
Lately I am all about Puffles! Love him!
Chibis are explained and exemplified in the article above, quote:

Usage of chibis in comic books usually indicates light-hearted or funny moments when a character is comically upset, for example: [illustration of the difference follows]
Would you do stikers from your other series?
This particular issue is connected to the Innkeeper graphic novel and the art style contained inside 🙂
Other Ilona Andrews series themed stickers were previously offered in the now-closed merch store.
How did I miss the stickers from the first volume????? I’ll buy the stickers! I’ll buy ALL the stickers! I tend to convert them into magnets and they make me happy!
I will totally buy the stickers! But since I live in Germany, there would have to be an international option… Maybe as a deluxe version of the second volume?
hopefully one day, i will manage to pry the first volume out of my darling daughter’s grasping little claws long enough to actually read it. maybe i can lure her with the second volume…
Status of ebook version of this?
I have both Tapas and Amazon’s offering of what’s been released so far.
Thanks.
There are no plans we’ve heard of atm.
Just received Amazon’s announcement of volume 2 in both physical and Kindle formats. Kindle is $9.99, delivery on January 28th, and preorderable NOW!
What the stickers! I really wish I could have gotten them for the first book, but if the option exists, will definitely get them for the second!
I’m starting to feel like I slept through a decade or something,,,,
Is the volume 1 still available? How did I miss this?
Yes, you can find the first volume here https://tinyurl.com/2vr2jrxd 🙂
Um, I buy everything of yours lol. Can we get both chibi AND regular stickers? I prefer regular, but I’d buy both!
I love stickers and will buy “all the stickers”! Just preordered second volume!! Thank you, love your books in all their forms!
Ahhh I got excited seeing 28th January but didn’t realise that’s just for e-book. Still, March isn’t too far away for paperback I guess.
(Or is this just a UK thing?)
FWIW, I have heard good things from the author’s perspective about Topatoco as a merch distributor. And, I have experienced good customer service as one of their customers. We don’t always need to prune our own Dushegubs.
