Me: There is a massive wasp nest on our kitchen window. There are wasps crawling on it. And another one on the porch. I think we should get an exterminator. Gordon, examining the wasp nest: Yep. You go on to the office, I’ll catch up. Five minutes later. Gordon, joining me at the office:

Our oldest daughter is applying for jobs as a dental assistant in Austin and vicinity. She’s never had a job that required an actual resume before, and because she is just out of school, she has to work a little harder to get her foot in the door. Three way text: Gordon: Don’t just spam

So How Was It Really?
Thanksgiving is gone. Black Friday is gone. Post-holiday drama time. Shot out to my lovely cousin-in-law, Trisha, and everyone else whose Thanksgiving might have been less than joyful due to family. Hang in there.

Dramatic Dogs
We bought Kid 2 a new iPhone. The quality has been dialed down quite a bit so it doesn’t take forever to load. Slightly less dramatic.
Dad’s visit
My father was here for the last two weeks. He is a nuclear physicist and mathematician by training and mother hen by temperament, so these fifteen days consisted of him attempting to “fix” everything. He took all of our computers apart. Kid 2’s Mac won’t turn on now. He attempted to install a new dog

Dog Bed Experiment
Following numerous recommendations, we ordered Kuranda beds. They immediately dragged their nasty blankies on them, of course, but both dogs crawled on their beds and flopped. I’m wondering if XL would’ve been better. They both fit fine on the large size, they just can’t sprawl. Pros: Easy set up: took ten minutes to put together.
