A couple of weeks ago, we asked you to tell us your favorite species from the Innkeeper universe for a chance to win a $100 private shopping spree in the Ilona Andrews store (which is otherwise temporarily closed in order to finalize vellum order fulfilment).

Because I know you will ask: yes, I did tally your answers. Well, roughly. Contrary to popular belief about my Transylvanian cryptid nature, I do sometimes sleep.
The Horde was once again extremely chill about things, so we had to paginate comments before the blog crashed. Two clear winners stood out, with only a small gap between them:

A reminder that the species question was research for Wanderer Chronicles: Out Of Orbit, the farming/cozy sim being developed by Dizzy Hill Studios in the Innkeeper universe.
“You crash land on a planet and end up running an inn. Due to plot reasons, it won’t be a full inn experience. This inn has less powers than Gertrude Hunt, but it will allow you to make specific rooms to attract guests. You will grow crops, harvest timber, mine ore, salvage space wrecks for parts, etc.”

The game is still a long way away. The current estimate is at least two years before early access/beta testing. This is one of the projects we’ll keep updating you on, but it’s not yet a “clear your weekend” situation.
The Ilona Andrews app, on the other hand, is live and you can play with it now. Have fun getting Horde achievements, everyone!

Congratulations!! I feel like the people who win IA giveaways are the luckiest people on earth. Just wanted to comment how excited I am… I got one of the Midnight Whispers’ Special Editions and I’m really happy!! Unfortunately the signed copies were sold out (yeah, in 3 minutes!) but I’ll just have to stalk our authors’ events page to get it signed. Good luck everyone!

They have sold out on both special editions. I tried for a signed copy, but as I was waiting in line to checkout they sold out (8:01 am PDT). Grabbed an unsigned copy, but checked at 8:40 and the unsigned was sold out. Luckily, I am getting a signed bookplate with my vellum!!!

I set multiple alarms to buy a signed TKWNKM copy, and I was on the site exactly as the Pre-Orders page refreshed. I added one immediately to my cart and instantly checked out…
Except after putting in my payment info, it wouldn’t process my order as they were all sold out (in less than a minute).
I don’t know why or how (during the few seconds it took me to quickly input my payment info) they somehow gave my precious book to some other lucky reader.
Alas, it was not meant to be for me.
By the time I realized that there were unsigned copies to be had, those too were sold out.

it’s feeling odd reading the blog today, because while I know it’s always a day later then when it’s published (as I always forgot to check the blog first and normally wait for the email drop). I was fully participating in the Midnight Whispers chaos yesterday with alarms and everything including the drama of it being sold out within the first minute and then finding out about the unsigned, going back in and managing to get one and then it to being sold out without 40 mins
But I hadn’t realised that this blog was also live as I can see the same drama playing out in the comments here. it feels like I’ve gone back in time like a time lord😆

I got myself a tattoo of First Scholar Thek as a birthday gift to myself last month. I love it and it brings me joy every time I look at it. Much like House Andrews books bring me joy every time I read or listen to them.
