There will be a banner on the Midnight Whispers website with the title as soon as it goes live. It you don’t see it, it should be here It will be under Books > Pre-orders > Midnight Whispers.

The Midnight Whispers representative confirmed there are still signed editions left, however both signed and unsigned are limited and they can sell out, so there are no guarantees.
The Exclusive Edition will cost $39 plus shipping and is currently estimated to ship in March or April 2027. It is a hardcover with a dustjacket, both featuring iridescent gold foiling, sprayed edges and end papers.

At the risk of incurring the most serious displeasure I must inform you that I tried to use google to search to check if I’d missed any shorts on the blog during the summer and Google AI informed me that there’s a 15k Solentine novella(?) in the works…..
I love Solentine, so that would be cool. I wondered if it was referencing the extra where he rides to his family estate on the dresmir (sp?) though. I’m bringing it up because I’d love to have it confirmed, but also because if it’s not real then you might want to know that Google AI’s inventing rumors through AI hallucinations and potentially frothing up the Horde. Thanks!
A Solentine novella indeed exists, and centers on his return to the Demarr estate to confirm the things Maggie told him about his family 🙂
It will likely be included in the Companion Guide to Kair Toren, which will be a self-published book.

This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me is about a protagonist, Maggie, who wakes up in her own favourite epic fantasy series written by Adrian Latour. The Thieves of the North is the first volume of that series, and the point in the timeline that Maggie arrives in Rellas.
Midnight Whispers have cleverly designed the hardcover to look like the Thieves of the North book, while the dustjacket is This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me, as a symbol for the isekai concept.
This one looks REALLY cool. Fingers crossed I’m fast enough to grab one. Hmmm, let me think . . .

Huh, I have to wonder what’s on the side of the hardcover binding, TKWNKM or Thieves of the North? Over time a dust covers can experience accidents, or just get lost. Having a different name on the binding edge could get a bit interesting in the future. The execution of the concept is very beautiful and unique though, might have to try to get one since I only have one original hardback copy myself.

Sort of but not completely off track: knowing the current pre-order of Vellum has been a colossal labor to complete for HA, are there any plans after these pre-orders are fulfilled to make these gorgeous packs available for purchase by those of us who recently joined the brilliant and welcoming Horde / new to the HA site (after pre-orders closed)? Answer may be out there but not caught up with all prior posts
Would be willing to w**t until after the release of Maggie 2, and not suggesting adding to HA’s current workload! Just would be wonderful to add the Vellum images to ANY TKWNKM version book, and have the lovely map (Maggie 1 was my first HA book, now almost through all the rest published, and so appreciative of stories on site 🥰) Would also travel to HA and help pack up current orders as free labor, for the hope of a future order, with no need to check my pockets on my way out (Honestly)

I read in a post early on about the velum that they would be available together with the planned self published book Companion Guide to Kair Toren that ModR mentioned above. I decided to wait to order velum since I knew I want the Companion book so I hope this is still the plan! Although if I was HA I might’ve started to strongly dislike all mentions of velum by this point.

Why are my favorite authors from US and AUS? So I put the book in my cart right at 11 am and there was a short 2 second queue and it was sold out when I tried to pay. 😭 They must not have had many copies for public consumption. 2 minutes. That’s all it took for the book to sell out. I was kicked out of the payment screen while reaching for my credit card. Alas, I will have to make do with the original book from April and the Spanish edition I’m waiting for delivery in October. Glad this book is getting all the love.

I was able to get a copy today!!! So excited! Who cares if I already have a hard copy and the audiobook, this one is too pretty not to get! Plus I can now gift the other copy to my sister in law and convert her to the Horde.

What a roller coaster! (not the well-maintained Inheritance kind, but the out of control sick-to-your-stomach kind).
I was so excited for the vellum but because I’m not in the US, I was (am) really sad to be missing out. I had hoped to get the character cards with the gorgeous artwork from Candice Slater, but unfortunately missed those. And then I saw the Midnight Whispers edition and fell in love, and have been haunting their website for the last 48 hours waiting for the second the public access would start.
Refresh, refresh, refresh – it’s there. I had it in my cart, I was checking out. It was… sold out.
I think I came as close to crying as I ever have over buying a book (there was definitely a cry of anguish), but I just kept refreshing the page in a wild kind of disbelief and then I saw – the signed version was sold out, but there were still unsigned copies available!! I bought that so fast I don’t even know how much I spent, lol. And now I am DELIRIOUSLY happy because it’s my first ever illustrated edition of an ILONA ANDREWS book and I am beyond thrilled! The signed copy would have been amazing, but I am just so thankful that I got a version at all!

Midnight Whispers charged me for the signed edition and I have a confirmation code from their website! …but no email confirmation. I work an intense job and can’t always be available to get stuff like this, so fingers crossed it all goes through!

I hope you never doubt how beloved you guys are and how much of a market there is for your books. I was on the Midnight Whispers website refreshing it and at 8am got a signed copy in my cart, it queued for checkout and was sold out by 0801 so I ended up getting an unsigned copy. Just for the sake of curiosity when I looked again at 8:39 the unsigned copies were sold out too. It is such a beautiful version and I love the creativity of making it look like “The Thieves of the North”. The BDH at it again 🙂

ModR—random question: I am redecorating a corner of my room to be a more conducive readers nook and was wondering about the ethics of printing out (I guess?) or availability for purchase of an image of my favorite book covers to frame and hang on the wall. I have seen the Luisa Pressler character prints before available to purchase but never reproductions of book covers available as art and wondered if this had to do with copyrights? Book covers are so pretty now!
Depending on the book, the cover copyright is held by the traditional publisher, the artist or House Andrews for self published books and covers created by Ilona.
Printing one copy yourself to put on the wall in your own home is obviously very different, ethically, from reproducing and selling someone else’s artwork 🙂 , but House Andrews cannot officially give blank permission for it.

I just want to say, I went back this morning to reread this post and this was the most fun I had all week.
From the “I didn’t get one 😩😭” to the “Go back, they still have unsigned copies!!” to links to said unsigned copies to “OMG I got one, thank you!” posts, I didn’t realize how much of a “for real, true and tried, tight-knit” community the BDH is.
