Hey guys, so the audio of Sweep of the Heart will be slightly delayed. Through the various factors that are either all of ours or nobody’s fault, the production is behind by a couple of weeks. The file is being recorded as we speak, but there might be a lag of a couple of weeks from December 13th release date.

We are doing our best. We are sorry.

Mod R PS: this refers to the traditional, one narrator audiobook, which is published alongside the ebook and paper formats aka the only one House Andrews have control over.

The Graphic Audio adaptation is a separate side project, outside of IA responsibility or decisions.

  3. Things like that happen. Nowadays, delays seem to happen frequently no matter how hard we try to avoid them. It’ll be ok. ((Hugs))

    Also, that picture looks EXACTLY like my dog. I mean, even to the same amount of gray in the muzzle. And the look he gives a lot. ????

  6. You really don’t need puppy dog eyes for that. A lion or black panther staring into the camera would be perfectly appropriate. Your book, your schedule. We’re not going anywhere. A big cat might get you a little more room to work though.

    Are you doing an “autographed” hard copy for Sweep of the Heart (w/ book plate), like the one for Ruby Fever?
    If so, where?
    I will buy the hard copy anyway, but would rather buy one…

    • Hi kommiesmom,

      There is no hard cover format for Sweep of the Heart.

      Paperback format Print on Demand will be available on release day (December 13)- they usually get sent straight from the printers as orders, but I will ask if any of the indie bookstores House Andrews have collaborated in the past might order some for signed bookplates 🙂

      • I was pretty sure that hard cover was not a possibility. I guess I should have just written “daed tree version” to avoid the possible mix-up with hard copy.

      • Hi Mod R. This is a bit off-topic, but I was browsing the Graphic Audio site, and noticed that the 2nd Cat and Bones book is up for pre-order. I know that there are a lot of Jeaniene Frost fans here, so it’s just a heads-up. (Didn’t know how to let you know directly, so if this isn’t appropriate, please delete it)

  12. It’s out of your control so we all understand.
    I like to read first before listening. It cuts down on the sudden emotions while driving. Knowing when to pause and listen at home with tissues is a plus. tissues for sad and/or happy tears are a must in my experience and don’t go well with driving.

  14. hey, can you say if this is in reference to the Graphic Audio version or a single narrator version or both?

    • This blog refers to the single narrator audiobook, the “traditional” one which is released with the other formats upon first publishing. This is the audio format that House Andrews control and would apologise for.

      Although they enjoy a good collaboration with Graphic Audio, that is a side project to which the signed off the rights, out of their control. There is no date yet for the Graphic Audio adaptation.

      Hope this clarifies things 🙂

      • Man I really want the Graphic Audio Adaption. They got me started with Audio Books. Although now I unfortunately cannot listen to the “regular” narrator of the Inn Books. Although I love love love Hugh’s narrator. Oh well, I will have to start Graphic Audio all over again. I really hope they adapt Hugh as well. Or Murderbot…that might be epic.

  17. So sorry für you, it is so disappointing, when you plan things, and they get messed up, without a possibility to put them to order. We will wait patiently – ok, who am I fooling – we will wait impatiently, but with a lot of understanding.

  18. I’m sure we’ll survive somehow hehe. Thanks for letting us know! As long as I have my grubby paws on the ebook, I’m going to be happy. It has felt like time has slowed this fall, when normally it’s too fast for words.

  22. so funny. i read this post just after reading mod r one ending with “at least i did not use the dreaded de*layed”, and the next thing i know here it is ????. i’m sure it was not intentional, but it put a big smile on my face…

    • Haha exactly my thoughts… maybe Mod R tempted the wrong pantheon, being so flip in the last post ????

    • The GA team are starting preliminary work on the Kate Daniels recordings next month. SotH is not yet in plans but we will update as soon as they send word ????

  35. I so enjoy the character interviews! Secondary characters have stories too! I don’t know when Team Andrews ever can sleep, the stories keep writing even when the authors might want to catch 20 winks or so! I know that when I read before sleep, sometimes the story continues in my sleeping state. Now, I don’t say that it progresses the way the author intended, but what scattered bits I may remember on waking? Seems like maybe the secondary characters were having a say…Hah!
    Thank you for the hours of enjoyment you give to me. And I reread all of the Hidden Legacy. I guess this is the 3rd go for most of the series. It is GREAT FUN!

  36. Mod R- I think a certain entity reads the blogs and saw when you typed in that at least you didn’t have to use the d*lay word!

    I’ve seen the eta d*lay period and I’m thinking it’s a really cool timed Christmas present instead ???? arriving poss after the busy day at the point people are digesting after a family get together and are in prime listening mode.

  42. Not a problem, Ilona, no worries!!! We’ll have it to start the new year with, which is a fabulous way to start a new year … and there’s no associated hangover!

    What I really am excited about this morning, while listening to Catalina, Leon and Cornelius recovering the monkey, is Cornelius. I was thinking that Cornelius really needed an ant eater and a sloth. The ant eater, because of the fire ants, and the sloth because they are adorable (I have seen one in person 45 years ago, and the vision is as clear as ever) … and that lead me to thinking about the absolute joy of a series on Cornelius and his daughter and the animal pets and interactions they’ll have … (you know, we all love the vet series, there’s book series, tv series, etc) … they may not be vets, but this would have the lovely edge of adding the occasional summoned critter, and Cornelius and daughter growing into a fabulous working pair .. critter whisperers solving critter problems for the rich Houses and famous actors, critter educators, critter rescuers … iguanas, wild horses, elephants, giraffes .. and a sloth or two hanging from their stairway bannister railing … ant eaters in the yard … a conservatory with butterflies and lemurs … working with the conservationists to save the condors … maybe even dinosaur whispering if some crazed scientist reassembles one from DNA … the last thoughts resonating in the amber resin of a fly caught in amber explaining some profound question of the ages … smiles, thank you for expanding my dreamtime …

      Work is starting in December and Magic Bites is pencilled in for release next spring (no official date at the moment).

  51. I gave up and preordered the Kindle ebook. I couldn’t take a chance on not getting it on day 1! Thanks for the heads up though. Maybe I will buy the Audio book too….

    • We will announce it as soon as it is up!

      Part of the process is having the file assessed and approved by the various retailers after we upload it on our end, which is a variable.

    • Graphic Audio haven’t announced it to us yet, however I know they’re ready to start work on the Kate Daniels dramatized adaptations soon!
