Happy Friday everyone, Mod R here!

I’ve had a lot of fun reading all your answers to the Comfort Reads giveaway. I now want to do All The Rereads, which is very timely, because winter holidays are my Kate Daniels period. There is something so perfect about those liminal days between Christmas and New Year when you never really know what time it is anyway and getting completely lost in Kate World.
But back to our giveaway business! We’re of course all winners here, we have our beloved books and cozy moments. The only way to pick the lucky person who will receive a signed book from House Andrews’ shelves was through a random number generator.
Congratulation, Joyce! For winning and for exquisite taste in favorite moments – who amongst the Horde can’t relate to loving Orro?

An email will be headed to the address you provided when you left the comment, so please check your inbox.
Congrats Joyce you lucky you π
Good scene for sure.
+1! π₯³
I forgot about that scene! Congratulations Joyce!

Congratulations, Joyce!
I know you have to do it Mod R, but random generators are not my friend. Oh well. π
Congrats, Joyce! That’s such a great scene. π
Congrats Joyce
That really is a great scene, almost meta for those of us who lived through, or at least adjacent to, the period in which the movie was set. I’ve just finished a reread of Sweep With Me to get in the holiday spirit. More rereads required to fully engage however.
Sharing a meme that came across my Facebook feed because this is the right group and it is somewhat relevant to the current discussion.

π€£π€£π€£π€£π Of course!
Now a days it’s easy since e-readers are popular. Before then, we had book towers. π
Or piled beside your favorite chair! Thatβs where one of my piles is. Rofl
Oh yeah!
Haha!

What book is that in?
One Fell Sweep, the 3rd in the Innkeeper Chronicles series π https://ilona-andrews.com/innkeeper-chronicles-books/#fell
Congratβs Joyce and yes I laughed out loud to that scene as well
Congrats Joyce! Noe you have me wanting to read that partπ Orro is a great character π
Nice!! Congrats to Joyce!
Sweet! Congratulations!
Orro is lovable, and congratulations to Joyce!
π
Congrats Joyce! Orro is one of my favorite characters ever! Hedgehogs are a family mascot, so a giant alien hedgehog chef is right up our alley!
That was a great scene, though I would have probably gotten more from it if I had seen the movie in question.
Alas, I don’t see any point in the exercise now…
congrats!
Congratulations, Joyce!
Thanks for the fun of the comfort reads recap — and congrats to Joyce! Reading others’ favorite moments made me smile — they were all moments I enjoyed too. What really struck me is the variety of situations, characters, and tone of all those comfort moments — but they were all surprising, true to the character, and also advanced the story — TRIPLE THREAT! And I don’t know if anyone cited it but my absolute favorite, laugh-out-loud, was Sean buying the Fart Gun at Walmart. Surprising, revealed a new facet to Sean’s character, and was integral to the story. Anyway, Happy Saturday and thanks again!
Hello – which book is Orro’s interpretation of a Christmas Story in? I don’t remember it, but would love to re-read it now π
Itβs in One Fell Sweep, Innkeeper Chronicles 3 π https://ilona-andrews.com/innkeeper-chronicles-books/#fell
Congrats Joyce!
And yeah, Orro’s A Christmas Story is one of my fave bits as well.
Congratulations Joyce!!πΎππ₯³π I laughed so hard the first time I read that part, and I still get excited when I know that part is coming up.
I’m not sure how recently the look of the Free Fiction page was updated, but I just noticed it and wanted to say it is magnificent. The navigation, the imagery, the information!!! Sending my appreciation for all the time and effort.
Congratulations Joyce!
These threads have prompted a full re-read of the Innkeeper series π.
And as a result, I have a question for @ModR:
Has or will house Andrews share the (short) story of how Caldenia first came to Gertrude Hunt and negotiated for a lifetime stay?
No, that story does not exist (yet π)
So House Andrews should take comfort in all the comfort they provide. π
Congratulations Joyce!
