I really enjoyed the first two episodes! It wasn’t a style of reading I’ve tried before (sorry not a comic reader as a kid), but I’m definitely going to finish the sequence and see what the Werecat brings to the story!
Well worth trying to anyone not sure at the moment!
M says
Could a Goodreads librarian please add this webcomic to GR? I track all my reading. 🙂

Hi M, I’m a Goodreads librarian and I set up a page set up for the webcomic https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/62086211-the-innkeeper-chronicle

Tempest says
“Your welcome is withdrawn” was all that I hoped it would be. Can’t wait to see Arland on coffee. (I’m trying not to binge. . . Or at least just do tiny binges. . . Binge-lets, if you will.)
Kathryn says
Loved it! Great art, nice additions to the original text – Really great adaptation! You should all be very proud! I’m looking forward to the next episodes
Breann says
I’ve never really been into comic books before, but I’m really loving the artwork! Also, it’s easy to earn ink or free episodes (are they called episodes?), for those interested, but on the fence. Definitely check out the first 2 free ones, even if you don’t think you’ll like it! ????
Lindsay says
It is really fantastic. Very well done. I’m really enjoying it, as well as a lot of other great content on Tapas. Thank you for bringing this into my life!!!!

Sean’s legs look too legy. Lol
Alice says
I can’t wait to see the next chapter’s yaaay, and also I was wondering why caldenia’s eyes aren’t blue on the tapas comic
Zee says
I can’t believe no one has mentioned this but how adorable is Beast?? She is so cute and I would hug the hell out of her if she has a plushie version.
Alexa says
Love it. 🙂 So far, my favorite chapter has been Chapter 7: Kabedon & Confrontations. Not just for the title (though it is delightful), but the back and forth between Sean and Dina is great in this bit.
Excellent story adaptation by ChrossxXxRodes!
Now I just have to be patient and wait for the next chapter release…
JO says
This is so cool!
Drew says
What a great start to the series! Love the art and the writing.
Raye says
So happy y’all have turned me on to Tapas! And Innkeeper is lovely! So excited!!!

Love the Ecsher style writing. Characters in book one reading about characters in book two reading about characters in book one. *chef’s kiss*
Kit says
hubba hubba hubba Arland exceeds my imagination *drooling*
Sue F says
I am a total non-comic reader, but am giving this a try since the artwork looks cool. And I really like the two free episodes. But I think I saw something somewhere in the process of signing up, that said that one only gets the episodes for 30 days. But now I can’t find it again. Does anyone know if that’s true, or maybe I misunderstood something? I’d hate to get really invested in this, and then not be able to re-read if I want to…
Moderator R says
I think what you might have read was about downloading episodes. As in to your own device, to read offline. The downloaded content will remain for 30 days. The content on the website is there to stay, no worries 🙂
Sue F says
Aaah, that makes sense, and makes me feel better! Thanks, ModR! And I guess if I wanted to re-read a year later on my device, I would just have to download again..
Moderator R says
You can stream it on your device at any point. But if you wanted it offline, yes ????
penina says
does anyone know if these online comics ever go into print?
or if there is already a comic print version of any of author’s series?
Moderator R says
You can find the answer here https://ilona-andrews.com/2022/all-about-clean-sweep-and-tapas/
Will there be printed versions of the comic?
No. Or maybe better: not at this time. For this to happen, the comic would have to be outrageously popular, enough for fans to want to have a hard copy. You are seeing this with Solo Leveling, because that comic exploded. There is even an anime adaptation coming up. I don’t think Clean Sweep will get that popular.
This is not a challenge, BDH. Seriously. Even if each of you went and made 10 accounts and bought an issue, we would not reach the Solo Leveling numbers. Clean Sweep will either do well organically or it won’t. Only time will tell. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy it.
No other printed comics or graphic novels yet either.
Berna says
It’s so good, the story flows so nicely in webtoon format!!
KC says
So one question that came up in the tapas comics, the family portrait at the inn shows the parents and two kids. It’s been a while since I read the first book, which kids are pictured, Dinah and Klaus?
Her Grace is perfect 🙂 Beast is adorable.
I am bummed we didn’t get the neighbors in the pool scene while Dinah was sneaking around. In fact, this revisit of the first book reminds me that we don’t get much with the neighbors anymore. Obviously the plot is more involved in later books, but I do miss some of the neighborhood hijinks.
Dinah/Sean banter is fun!
I’m looking forward to Arland and coffee!
P.S. (For new users of tapas, the app will give you more promotions, discounts and ways to earn free ink (tapas webcomic currency) then viewing the site from online. If you’re so inclined, new users can use my invite code in app to receive some free ink: WYRD873X).
Cris Reads says
I think Maud and Klaus because Dina is the youngest.
Cris Reads says
I downloaded Tapas and bought ink just for this. And I’m loving it ???? I hope every book and short story becomes a webcomic ????????
Jessica says
I’m loving this so far! Agree with the comment above that the “Your welcome is withdrawn” scene is everything I hoped it would be.
I’ve read a few webtoons before, but Tappas is new to me. And now I’m about 8 stories deep ????. So thank you for the beautiful new way to enjoy Innkeeper and opening up a whole new Tappas world to me!
Suzanne says
I have never read a Web comic but since Innkeeper is one of my favourite series was willing to try it. Started the 1st episode and was enjoying it when the style of character drawings kept changing from finely drawn to a younger rounder style then back again. Threw me out of the story and don’t understand why it kept changing. Didn’t finish the episode and probably won’t go back. Shame, did like the way the characters were drawn originally and as shown above, probably won’t read anymore, don’t like the younger style of drawing. Happy reading to those that do.
Moderator R says
Hi Suzanne, It’s ok, not all mediums are for everyone!
The “younger characters” are a convention of this animation style, called “chibi style”. It marks moments of cuteness or humour- like “cute aggression” or frustration scenes, but the usual style is the regular drawn characters.
Brightfae says
Loved it! The art is amazing and the adaptation is very fun!
Haley says
And I thought we were spoiled with the Graphic Audio adaption!! Now we have two amazing adaptions! I’m forcing myself to save the premium tickets I got for free for downloading the app for later in the story when I know I won’t be able to help myself but I am in love with the art and the translation from the book to comic has been done WONDERFULLY.
ak says
Dina is too blonde! Was she supposed to be like dat?
Moderator R says
Yes, Dina has always been a light blonde. Look at any of the covers or Innkeeper art on the website, such as https://ilona-andrews.com/innkeeper-chronicles/
Elenariel says
I grinned and laughed a lot Reading the comic, enjoying the anticipation of knowing what would happen, butbnotvsure about the how: everything is great! Caldenia and the chibis are my favs!
Adding my ? Moment for only 2 blonde kids in the portrait, and I have another questions that I triggered with a comment on “Kabedon”: does Sean read manga or comics?
We know both Dina and Caldenia love Paranormal and Historical Romance respectively (and Hidden Legacy, of course!), what about Sean and the other characters?
Alexis says
Loved, loved, loved Ruby Fever. Took Tuesday off to read it even! Thank you both!
Jumi says
Ok is it me or is Arland is androgynous?
I see him as more masculine…
Good job on others
Lara says
Oh it’s so lovely and easy to follow. I’m dyslexic and comics generally hurt my brain, but tapas is a joy to process. It’s so pretty too.
Elizabeth says
I appreciated the comments from House Andrews about conventions that are used in this particular type of visual style telling. I’d been quite confused by the pop up child like faces. (Was this an echo of the past?) Perhaps you could talk more about the medium now that more of the story is here
