The timer is at 0 and Wildfire is released into the world. The next post will be a safe space for spoilers and discussions.
From Ilona Andrews, #1 New York Times bestselling author, the thrilling conclusion to her Hidden Legacy series, as Nevada and Rogan grapple with a power beyond even their imagination…
Nevada Baylor can’t decide which is more frustrating—harnessing her truthseeker abilities or dealing with Connor “Mad” Rogan and their evolving relationship. Yes, the billionaire Prime is helping her navigate the complex magical world in which she’s become a crucial player—and sometimes a pawn—but she also has to deal with his ex-fiancée, whose husband has disappeared, and whose damsel-in-distress act is wearing very, very thin.
Rogan faces his own challenges, too, as Nevada’s magical rank has made her a desirable match for other Primes. Controlling his immense powers is child’s play next to controlling his conflicting emotions. And now he and Nevada are confronted by a new threat within her own family. Can they face this together? Or is their world about to go up in smoke?

Happy book birthday to WILDFIRE! Heading out tonight to pick up my reserved copy; the library’s copy is cataloged, processed and ready to go out today. I hope your tour isn’t too exhausting and that you have a good time at RWA.
Toni says
Amazon just sent confirmation that I will get it today! Can’t wait ?
Toni says
It’s here!!!!
TheWoobDog says
I have it downloaded to my phone already to start reading at lunch – I just barely managed to stop myself from staying up til midnight and reading it RIGHT AWAY. The anticipation is DELICIOUS.
TheWoobDog says
“Already” as in, I already have it downloaded – not as in “all ready to start.” #grammarnaziworries
Staci says
Had a quick question, I have been LOVING (adoring, devouring, etc.) the Hidden Legacy series and noticed that both White Hot and Wildfire have hardcover copies available. My burning (pardon the pun) question is whether Burn for Me will be rereleased in hardcover as well? (I have a thing about trying to keep issues alike: either hardcover or soft.)
Thanks for any info you can provide!
Tink says
I don’t think they’re hardcover. Ilona has take about that before. Those are really for libraries, not commercial purchase, although you can apparently buy them from Amazon. I haven’t gotten my bound copy of Wildfire, but I’m pretty sure it’s soft, not hard.
Maybe the company that did that special press run of the Innkeeper series will do one for Hidden Legacy.
Colleen says
Have fun and take a little bit of time for yourselves on your tour (or at least try to)! I have to wait until this evening to get started, but there was a little fan-girl squee when I opened my Kindle this morning and saw it on the home page.
kommiesmom says
Happy Book Birthday to you!
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
My kindle copy is downloaded. I will see you this evening at MBTB to say “Thanks” in person and pick up my hardcopy of Wildfire.
So excited. (Resisting the urge to pepper this whole reply with exclamation points.)
Sable Porter says
Just finished reading Wildfire. I got it at 2 am this morning. Loved it. Puhleeeeze write more!?! I have read everything published by Ilona Andrews and can’t wait for more.
Donna says
Yay! I can’t wait to read it. I am saving it to savor over the weekend. Yes, I wait until Christmas to open my presents too.
Henry says
I’m a little late, but it was on my reader at 1130 last night. It took me 30 minutes to wake up clean all the garbage emails from my reader. I finished it at 4 this morning. It was so well written, I had to finish it. Thank you for all the fun. The epilogue, WOW, so we still don’t no Caesar. Another book in the future? A lot of blood, gore and bodies laying around.
Vala says
Youguys are the best! Knocked it out of the park! Iron know why you stress so much on how it will go, this story just keeps getting better and better! Stayed up all night reading it – am falling asleep in my meetings today but I don’t care.
Thank you both for a wonderful read!
Bridget Thompson says
Loved it! I really hope there are more books in this series or world. Thanks for the great story!!!!
Tink says
#29 in Kindle store, #1, #1, and #2 in their categories. (As of this moment.) Congratulations!!!
Georgie says
(SPOILER ALERT)
COMMON CORE JOKE!!! I LOVE IT!!! YOU MADE MY DAY!!!
P.S. I don’t know if this is the right spot for this comment….but, regardless, THANK YOU SO MUCH! you touched my teacher/geek funny bone.
question: Why did the Swedish Navy paint bar codes on all their ships?
answer: So, when they returned to port, they could Scandinavian.
trailing wife says
*choke* You are a baaaad person! And yes, Common Core. My very bright niece had to be held back a year because the first grade math problems made her cry. Little children do not think like mathematicians — for that matter, adults don’t think like mathematicians, either — so forcing them to do so is counterproductive.
Dave_5K says
Funny, realistic, and a bit horrifying all at the same time… but I can completely see these people getting in an argument over education / Common Core while completely disregarding as irrelevant that a girl’s life effectively hangs in the balance.
Dave_5K says
Congrats on another awesome book release!
Up to #28 on Kindle overall “paid” list this afternoon (behind 6 free books of the month and 14 kindle unlimited free books), so probably around #8 or so on actual sales right now …
Hopefully good enough to attract more Hidden Legacy books 🙂
Jenn says
Absolutely loved it. Totally worth the wait. Not sure what to do now…….
Caesar is identified in the end, it was exactly who I guessed it was. Will there be more books in the series?
Laurence says
Thank you very much for a great book!!!!
I love this serie, the world is great, the characters awesome, but the main characters don’t reach the same amount of “love” I have for Kate and Curran.
I’m not feeling the connection as I’m feeling it for K&D. And it’s a pity, I think it’s because of my mind set when I read the first Hidden Legacy.
About Caesar, you think you know and I probably made the same guess as you, but it’s just a figure of speech and we both might be wrong, after all I could say the same thing Caesar said. ;o)
Ernie S. says
A song for the birthday book! And with the same title:
“Wildfire” by the Warning (awesome band)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tqrMMUoOqE
While I haven’t read it yet (re-reading the other two first), I suspect the themes in the song are totally appropriate.

Loved it
Will there be more books in this universe?
I felt like epilogue was an opening for at least one extra book …?
I believe that to many books about the same characters get tedious, but on the other hand Nevada & Rogan are my absolute favorites, so I’m a bit torn.
But I would absolutely buy next book about N&R (how will they resolve the marriage ? Will Rogan join House Baylor with all his people ? I guess Nevada could join House Rogan, but that doesn’t seem like strategical move for House Baylor… Could Evil Grandma join House Baylor as well ?)
To be quite honest I would totally buy any book in this universe.
I hope it does sell extraordinary well so You could write them (unless, of course, You are sick to death with them)
I also think that there are other characters that could “produce” awesome story: Augustine for one (I was a bit disappointed the he did not show in this book – and from the comments, I was not the only one), Catalina, Evil Grandma ( I actually liked her in this book) for others.
I really loved the thing You did in The Edge series with different but connected characters (and the fact that George appeared in the Innkeeper – he was one of my favorites in the entire series)
So will there be more books please please please?
Karen says
Thank you for such a great book! Like all the others, I enjoyed it sooooo much. Crossing my fingers we get more Hidden Legacy stories someday! ???
Sarah Webber says
Hi guys,
I have also loved this series and would be overjoyed if you announced that you were continuing with it.
I am a tingle with anticipation.

Wildfire was amazing. Thank you for writing it. If your publishers ever read this, I wanted to say it would be amazing if you could make it to the Southwest for a signing. Arizona would love to see you! Phoenix metro valley has 2 indie stores that handle signings. I’ve read all your books 3 or 4 times. You both are wonderful authors! Thank you!
Brenda says
I’m so looking forward to the Orlando event tomorrow.
Rupert says
I wish I had read the blog one day earlier as you were in Houston. The chase on the 290 headed up to where I live =p
I am looking forward to any future releases for this series and Kate.
anne luree says
I have every book that you have written. Thank you so much for this one. I enjoyed all the characters, Zeus and Sargent Teddy were wonderful additions. I appreciate the world building differences in the series, but treasure the truthfulness and honesty of the relationships and quirky characters in all of them. I am off to shelve Wildfire. I am in agreement with Arabella, Math????
Melindam says
Finished it yesterday. And now it is official: I am suffering from chronic Hiddenlegacitis. it is probably terminal as well. Only the hope for another book can keep me from withering away, so please save me! 🙂
Melindam says
And I found the perfect song for Rogan. 🙂

I’m going to be at the Orlando event tonight! Does anyone have any advice for how early I should arrive? This will be my first book signing (ever!) and I don’t want to show up too late.
Di says
I would call that Orlando Barnes and Noble and see if they hand out tickets for attending the signing or tickets to get in line (often, bookstores will make you buy the book from them, then give you a numbered ticket that is your place in the line for the autograph portion of the night).

Di, thank you so much!! I really appreciate this 🙂

No problem! I’m so jealous of everyone who gets to go to a signing. I just wish that the bookstores would live-stream or record the question section of each signing. Have fun!

Why I think there will be more books (or should be more books). Kelly Waller needs to be dealt with. Why make Alessandro extremely handsome and only two years older than Catalina if he’s not going to reappear? There is some mystery about Mathilda –sitting with the cats in the final battle, the amber flash in her eyes, why she is so close to Catalina. We haven’t met Rogan’s mother yet. Does anyone honestly think that the period between the engagement and the wedding will be quiet and peaceful? Not when Rogan advised Nevada to keep it under wraps at the trials–lots of potential plots there not related to the Caesar conspiracy. I could go on and on. Avon should pay for lots of household help so more time could be devoted to writing.
I only have one complaint and this applies to all the books. Please find an editor who knows the difference between the verbs lie and lay. Also gerunds.

Ok, just got back from the book signing in Orlando – SO MUCH FUN!!! It was wonderful to see all three authors and to hear their comments about the books. Just LOVED it!
