Merry Christmas, indeed! Our kids and grandkids here for Christmas in NYC, and a new Innkeeper (thank you! thank you!) to look forward to each week. Our cup overfloweth (although that could be due to the vodka cocktails!!).
All the best in your new home. Don’t stress over the boxes. Before you know it, everything will be put away and you’ll be saying, “l know where X was in the other house, where did I put it here?” And, “Why can’t I find anything?!” After five years I still can’t find anything, but that’s probably because my husband, who’s retired, did most of the unpacking and putting away while I went off to work every day. In retrospect, that probably wasn’t a good idea. On the other hand, if I haven’t found/used something in five years, I guess I really don’t need it! In all fairness, my husband knows pretty much where everything is, so all, or at least most, is not lost.
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and may you have many happy, healthy, productive years together in your new home.

Thank you so much for this! What a great present!
(This is my third attempt to write this – I had my phone read it to me while I was getting ready for bed, late on the 25th. I’m staying with my sister, and getting caught up my the local community… and stuff keeps happening! Which is not a complaint, but it’s gotten a little ridiculous.)
