I don’t remember the last time I was this sick. If I don’t get better, Gordon is taking me to Urgent Care tomorrow. It’s so bad, I want my mom. I spent the day in bed, watching Lifetime Movie Channel. Secrets of the Undercover Wife was not a bad movie. Moving on to Undercover Wife next. I have a theme going.
We will be MIA for a bit.
Thanks for the update! I’m glad you have Gordon there to take care of you and I hope you recover quickly! Sending healing thoughts from Alaska ?

Oh geez! Take care of yourself! Hopefully you’ll start feeling better soon. (hugs)
I hope your Dad made it home safely!
From one working wife and Mom to another, have you noticed that you’re not allowed to be sick? At least that’s what my husband and kids tell me. The last time I was ill and feeling like I was at death’s door my dear husband asked me if I could stop being sick (in a funny, but not funny way). I hope you can get the help you need and the rest you require and that you don’t get out of bed before you feel well enough. Everyone else can fend for themselves!

What she said!

Take your time & get better!
So sorry your condition has not improved. Hope you recover quickly.
Melissa B says
Oh my word-your sick and yet you made me smile about wanting your mom. Then you cracked me up about Gordon! Please take care, gets lots of sleep, have some chicken soup, and a cup of hot tea with lemon and honey. Cheers!
((((HUGS)))) Sending get well/feel better vibes & please stay “silent”/rest until your stamina is back to normal. I would rather wait until you are healthy than have you sick for the holidays.
Laundry list of my “I feel like crap, this helps me feel better”:
Can you order in some 40-cloves of garlic chicken soup?
Fresh pineapple helps with sore throats.
https://www.organicfacts.net/elderberries.html Can you get some elderberry syrup delivered?
Plus my all time favorite: hot ginger, lemon, honey tea (with optional shot of your favorite alcohol)
Please don’t wait. Go to the Dr. You shouldn’t have to suffer, and it may get worse. We worry about you.
Be the one taken care of for a change.
Hugs to all of you.
You know you would drag the kids there if they were this sick. Set a good example!
Go to bed and stay there till you feel better.
Jackie H says
Definitely get to a doctor as soon as you can. When I had this same thing my doctor had me off work for a full week and It took another 2 to start feeling normal. Please take care of yourselves and best wishes on a speedy recovery.

Be very careful there is some very scary stuff out there. We want you around for a long time and not just because we like your writing. In many ways you have become family. I have told many people about you wanting an adultier adult and have gotten headshakes in agreement. As a person who is now the elder generation it is scary to be the adultier adult. So glad that Gordon is still on his feet. Soup and tea and rest. Unfortunately the TV doesn’t help much. Take care
I completely understand.. I am really sick too.. I’ll suggest you to go see a doctor. I did 2 hrs ago and I am feeling a lot better already..
Get well soon. 🙂
Rest and recover. Life happens.
I hope you feel better soon ?. You just focus on getting what you need to get better, even if it’s at the Urgent Care.
Have you tried gargling with warm salt water 3x daily? It’s really simple (can be slightly or very salty) and helps clear the bacteria and gunk. It reeeally helps. If you want a little more, my Dad would always follow us up with hot (sipping temperature only) honey lemonade (lemon juice, water, and honey) because the lemon further strips your throat and the honey is antibacterial. I can say that it helped, though I don’t love sitting and sipping hot things. The saltwater gargling is quicker and better bang for your buck if you’re going to pick one, but the other really helps too. When a sore throat was agonizing I might have sprayed and spit a little chloraseptic a few minutes before gargling the salt water if I just couldn’t stand to gargle, but that was pretty rare. Usually even an awful throat can tolerate warm salt water gargling and spitting. Good luck and God bless ? Hope you feel better soon.
I completely understand.. I am really sick too.. I’ll suggest you to go see a doctor. I did 2 hrs ago and I am feeling a lot better already..
Get well soon.
I’m sorry your feeling worse. UrgentCare as Gordon stated.
Rest and get better soon even if it necessitates a visit to urgent care which I suspect is the emergency department in Australia. Lots of fluids and ice cream for your sore throat. Big hugs from down under.
Ice creams always sounds good.
Urgent Care in the States are after hours clinics for those who can’t wait until regular doctor’s hours. It’s for things that don’t require visits to the hospital emergency room but still need immediate attention.
Ilona I really hope you and the rest of the family get well soon, that Gordon avoids catching the plague and your father and stepmom did as well. Let Gordon take care of you, rest and feel better.
Kelticat Kk says
Health first, writing later. You are more important than whether or not we get an Innkeeper the next few weeks.
Hot lemonade (lemon juice, water, honey, and a cinnamon stick ) is good for sore throat. I find that apple brandy works better than cough medicine, especially if you want to drink anything after a dose. Salty, vinagery foods such as pickles also help soothe the throat. And soup. Chicken, vegetable, mushroom. Doesn’t matter which , all are good.
So sorry to hear that you’re feeling miserable. Drink plenty of fluids and rest as much as you can.
I have found that when you are somewhat awake but hoping to rest, watching something that you’ve seen before is a good bet. For me, it is firing up Netflix and binge-watching Forensic Files. I find the cases fascinating, but I’ve already watched each episode at least twice, and the narrator’s voice is so pleasant that I usually nod off partly through one episode and wake up during another one, whether it is the next one or the 7th one after where I started. LOL
I hope you and the kids feel better quickly, and that Gordon doesn’t come down with it as well.
Does Gordon cook? Here is a simple, but very good and healthy chicken soup recipe from my grandmother. I am posting the cheater version for those who don’t cook, or aren’t feeling up to doing much. By all means do the “real” version where you boil your own chicken to make your stock as it really does make a difference in the taste if someone is up to it.
1 bag of frozen chicken, either the diced or shredded. About 2 lbs.
1 large diced onion. Feel free to add more.
2 large, aka jumbo, boxes of chicken broth.
1 large, aka jumbo can of diced or crushed tomatoes. (Not a gallon can!)
1 – 1/2 bag each of frozen and cut carrots, corn, green beans and add in any other veggies that you like. The amount you put in, depends on how many kinds of veggies you add.
1/2 cup of rice.
Grind a little pepper in it.
Pour it all together in a big pot, if the broth doesn’t cover the other ingredients, add more broth or water to cover. Then bring it to a gentle boil. Let it simmer for at least 30 minutes and taste it to see if you need to add any salt, then enjoy. Slow cooker for 4 – 6 hours on high or 8 hours on low also works.
This is a very forgiving and adaptable recipe. Adjust it to what you like or don’t like.
May chicken noodle suffice in healing you. Hopefully you won’t need the urgent care!
-sends you good vibes-
I hope you feel better soon!
I hope they can give you something to feel better.
Otherwise lots of sleeping and movies may be the best wayto let your body get better.
I hope you all get better soon and that Gordon stays well as it 1. Doesn’t sound like something you’d want anyone to get and
2. You need someone telling the jokes to the family to keep their spirits up.
I hope you dad got home okay and didn’t managed to catch it.
Given that you’re all unwell, I’m guessing that we won’t hear from you before Halloween- so have a great day watching scary movies (or if you’re like me, not scary ones) and get well soon.
Go to the doctor quick. Lung infection is scary. Praying for a full recovery for you and your family.
And rest and then rest some more.
I add my wishes for a full recovery. Take care of yourself.
Amanda P says
Sending you healing thoughts, hope you can rest and get well soon xxx
Wishing you healing and recovery from the pestilence you acquired.
Gloria Magid says
Rest, relax, do go to urgent care for meds. Since the girls had a bacterial sinusitis, you likely have a bacterial infection as well, so antibiotics will help. Lots of good advice on this list. Most important, take care of yourself and take the time you need to fully recover. Sending positive vibes your way.
Bill G says
Take care, take time. And if the greedy get going on here, take the axe to their names.
Oh no. Hope you get better soon.
Take care, hope you can take your time until you’ve rested enough, it’s good that you’re not alone at a time like this ☺️
Sending positive vibes your way ~~
I hope you get better soon, nothing worse than being stuck in bed, to sick to even read?
Ditto. Tell Gordon that my doctor taught me to put neosporin/polysporin in nostrils to stop most of the yucky bacteria from entering the body. (Hope he’s not a heavy mouth breather). You want him to stay healthy so he can baby you. 😉
Get well soon Ilona! I’m glad you have Gordon to look after you & hope he manages to avoid catching the bug. Fingers crossed you’re feeling a little better today but stay snuggled up in bed anyway and let the family look after you until you’re back to 100% 🙂
Jeanne Cason says
Be well. Sinus infections are miserable. Don’t forget grandmas old remedy. Chicken soup raises your immune system.
William B says
I hope your Dad and Stepmom escaped without falling victim to the Texas plague.
I found when I need to drink a lot of fluids, using those powder drink mixes to vary the flavor lets me drink more. And if you want it to stay cold, making ice cubes from the mix (half strength if you’re using something like Kool Aid, so they’re good cubes not sticky messes) and using those won’t dilute the flavor. Also, Gator Aid makes a lot of different flavors, also a drink mix they call Propel – both intended for after exercise, but good for pushing the fluids. Hang in there; Gordon, stay healthy!! If all of you get sick, call a friend to come in & help keep you hydrated & eating – you already have the masks for them!
Don’t wait. Go now, there is no need to power through. Go so they can give you meds that are not over the counter and for your exact symptoms.
Jeez, I sound like a Mom….and I know with 100% accuracy I would not take my own advice. Hm….
Margaret R says
Grrr not sure what happened!
Get well soon ???
I agree, go to the doctor today..please?
Don’t wait. Go now. treat symptom early.
I don’t want to scare you but it can get very serious if you catch complecation. I was hospitalized once, just common cold/flu using over the counter med few weeks then it escalated to bronchitis to pneumonia. Took 2-3 years to get my cough disappeared.
Judy B says
Get better soon. The only advice I’ll give is to go to the doctor. You might need some antibiotics to help you kick the virus’ butt. Snuggle in, watch mindless tv and rest up.
Cheryl M says
Alas, viruses do not respond to antibiotics. If they are fighting a bacterial infection that’s what they will need.
Too true. I guess that is why I need to go to the doctor – my medical knowledge would fit on the head of a pin 🙂
Take care of yourself. And make sure you take every. single. piece. of advice given on this thread and the last one. One of them has to work, right?
But mostly take care of yourself. Who will write us stories if you don’t?
Sending all the good vibes. Honey and turmeric with black pepper in a little bit of milk helps with bad sinusy conditions . Get well soon
I also have this crappy sinus thing going on. Swati if you are still reading comments, do you mix this up like a milky drink or like a tablespoon of medicine?
As someone who gets sinus infections frequently, once they really take hold, the only way to get rid of them is antibiotics- lots of fluids, especially hot tea is helpful. I am sending up prayers that you feel better soon.
You poor thing. I hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick. Last weekend half our household had the plague. Mercifully they mostly recovered decently quickly (tho every last one of them had to have antibiotics to make it happen) so hopefully you’ll be on your feet in no time (bc sick is miserable and not just bc I’m a greedy snot or anything lol).
Awww, hope u feel better soon!
Rest, enjoy lifetime. Hope you feel better and that Gordon doesn’t get sick either. When I get sick hubby sleeps on the couch so he won’t catch my germs.
cheryl z says
I’m so sorry you are so ill. Its ironic, when life is really chaotic and hectic, sometimes I wish for a couple of days in bed. Then when it happens I hate it, I hate being sick. Definitely go to the Doctor now, even if infection started as viral, sinus infections usually have secondary bacterial infections which require the right antibiotics (year of experience). I don’t know it they use antivirals for this type of illness, but they can be very effective. Sending chicken soup thoughts.
Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.
The only thing worse than being sick, is when the kids are sick, and you’re dealing with that, too. I hope you all feel better soon.
Take care. Get medical care. Get plenty of rest. Don’t let your condition become bronchitis or pneumonia! Don’t worry about anything except getting better and your family. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
Ilona take care of you and get to the doctor ASAP. I do hope you feel better soon.
Get well soon
Don’t tough it out. Get to a dr when you can. They have drugs that often work. Feel better soon
Hooray for Gordon. Thank you for taking care of things.
I hope you feel better soon, Ilona.
Both of you take as long as you need to be back in fighting (writing) trim.
We understand how this works – even if some of us don’t like it – and we can wait.
Don’t forget, nice steamy showers to open everything up and get it flowing. i also like shower bombs with eucalyptus or peppermint. or even vick’s vaporub help
I hope you get better soon! You’re lucky you have Gordon!
If you are sick enough to want your mom you are ready for professional help. Get better soon. Chicken soup and chai tea wishes for you and family. Lots of love from your fan.
So very sorry. Infections do respond to antibiotics, and I agree with the posters who pointed out that there’s not much to be gained by putting them off.
Best wishes for a quick recovery!
Get well, no stress, relax, cheers
Take care of yourself & let us know when you’re better!
Margaret R says
Just finished bingeing on “The Haunting of Hill House”. I highly recommend it, guaranteed to clear your sinus! My hair is still standing up!?
I’m so sorry you’re feeling so miserable.
As someone who has had more than a hundred sinus infections if you’re being whammied this hard go see the doctor post haste.
Urgent care is open on Sundays…
Please feel better soon!
Get well soon
Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.
Please take care of yourself!
Heather Langston says
I am so sorry that you are feeling so bad! Rest, hydrate, and get Gordon to make some crock pot chicken soup. I hope you feel better!!
I think you should go to Urgent Care today. The body can only take so much and while you may have been robust in the past, you have had a lot of stress in the last few months. That will lower your immunity to viruses. Please take care of yourself and I hope Gordon stays healthy.
Feel better soon
More well wishing. Feel better soon. 🙂
Also glad to hear your dad’s visit went so well. That was awesome!
I am so sorry you are sick. Go NOW to a doctor. Don’t wait. Sending virtual hugs and love and chicken soup.
Wendy S says
Stress makes you more vulnerable to illness. Hmm. What could have been stressing you out? I’m glad to hear you are taking it easy. I’d send you my homemade elderberry syrup if I could. Sending wishes for a fast recovery instead! May all the movies be entertaining movies. ??
So so sorry to hear that… I hope you will feel better soon ?
It has hit our house too. Many wellness thoughts to you!
Hope you all feel better soon, go to the doctors no point in suffering hope your dad and stepmom got away alright it is now you time ????

Feel better soon. Glad you have support. Gordon, you take care. Wishing the whole family the best.
So it begins The attack of the autumnal crud. It’s running amuck at our house too. Hope you feel better soon!
Wishing all of you well. If only we could mix up a spell for this. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Be better. We care. I wish I weren’t on the east coast. I wish I could help. Know we want you healthy – especially if Gordon is still telling dirty jokes! I hope you were able to get to a doctor who was helpful.
If you have Netflix, the Shannara Chronicles are a fun B rated LOTR. And based on your interest in psychological issues and strong female characters, and just cause it’s so fascinating, try Shiri Appleby’s unReal. And, be better soon.
Aleea Brewer says
I have to agree with the folks who say go to doctor now. Your symptoms seem to be getting worse and you don’t want to be hospitalized with pneumonia. You can get really sick in a hospital. Go today for your own family’s sake. You can only watch those girl movies so long, then real life intervenes. Get well soon. Oh, and as far as pushing fluids go, if you are not on antibiotics, I find that hot water in my bourbon works as well as anything to wash down a couple of Tylenol. It isn’t for everyone, but it works for me.
Gail G says
Be a good girl and see the doctor. If you have a virus, you need some antibiotics. Rest. Feel better really soon.
Antibiotics won’t do anything for a viral infection, but she did mention that it was a bacterial infection in her last post, and that everyone already has antibiotics for it! Hopefully this isn’t something else on top of that. 🙁
Robin Moore says
That’s why they ask weird questions like what color is your snot when you go. It gives them an idea if it is viral or bacterial. If its working on them, you need your own batch of antibiotics. If you tell them they gave everyone else antibiotics and after nursing everyone, you have it, they might just call some in for you. Save a trip.
Kind advice and I agree but, FYI, antibiotics are only for bacterial infections. Have no affect on viruses
Amelie Milet says
I am so sorry. My mom is currently battling something, some kind of bronchitis (which weirdly enough she contracted right after her flu shot) from her coworkers and according to her coworkers it lasts for several weeks. She’s been coughing nonstop and just very tired in general… she has been to the doctor and she is supposed to leave next weekend for a 2+ week work trip to Asia which… as of right now doesn’t seem like she may be up for the task it’s that bad. I am really hoping I don’t catch it as I came to visit my parents this weekend. As usual my father is somehow immune to bacteria and seems perfectly fine. Definitely go see the doctor, don’t wait if you are feeling as sick as you are. There’s no point in waiting it out.
Angel Mercury says
Stuff’s been Nasty this past year down in the southern Hemisphere, at least three different monster bug/viruses came around. Get lots of rest, lots of soup, and lots of vitamins. Hope everyone feels better soon 🙁
Hope you feel better soon. Rest up. Look after yourself (or let Gordon do it!). That’s the important thing. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you. ?
Hope you feel better soon. Will be here when you are up and about again.
I hope you and yours feel better soon. You will be very missed!
If you don’t feel better now, it may not be wise to wait. One of the advantages of those urgent care places is that they’re open weekends and nights. Best wishes.
See the medical professionals, then sleep. Drink comforting liquids. Sleep. Get up to eliminate comforting liquids, drink more and go back to sleep. If there are meds, take them with your comforting liquids. Repeat. (My family’s tried and true sick person schedule!)
Oh no, I hope you feel better!
Sorry to hear your I’ll. I hope you feel better soon.
Go get medical attention and hope u feel better soon!
Mary H says
Please let Gordon take care of you and feel better. Love and healing prayers.
I sincerely hope you feel better soon. Have Gordon take you either way tomorrow. Better safe than sorry. Hopefully it isn’t anything your father or Gordon could have caught or catch as well.
Please take as much time as you need to get well again. Sending you energy and love.
Sorry to hear it, hope you feel better soon.
Oh nooo! Rest up and take care. Your health is more important than anything else
Whiskey, lemon and tea hot…u will be all good 🙂
Melody Clark says
Also down with the bug… Please Get some rest, Rx, rest, liquids, rest, watch tv you don’t mind falling asleep to, rest, small meals are also important, and lots of rest. Best wishes in A fast recovery.
Do other people have doctor’s / clinics that are doing virtual appointments? The Cleveland Clinic has been doing it – and really pushing it during flu season – and it’s the best thing. I’ve only done it with my migraine doc, but between same or next day appointments and the lack of hassle, it’s been pretty amazing – and I can see how the push to have people not exert themselves more and increase their and other people’s exposure risk is another real win.
My dr’s do phone appointments at times. Lab stuff is separate so they can send you in to get stuff tested, then call to talk about results or call prescriptions in for you. It can be really convenient at times.
Ours is pretty formal, and via video conference. It’s a nice set up. The out of pocket is more than a regular co-pay because of insurance issues, but it’s close enough to be totally worth it to me for the convenience.

Here is hoping you get well soon an you have an abundant supply of chicken soup. Chicken soup will heal most every ill. Best wishes.
Didn’t you recently move into a new (to you) home in Texas? I’m not trying to get down on you but you and yours are getting sick a lot. Has your home been checked for mold (this was my first thought). Air born nasties from your HVAC system, check filter. Creatures whose feces are toxic. You recently had water damage from flooding, what about water parasites. Do you see where my mind is going?
This started, Ilona said, with one of her daughters’ boyfriends having bacterial sinusitis, iirc. Although you have excellent suggestions there.
Inga Abel says
Please rest and get well soon!

Don’t hesitate – go to the doc ASAP and get something to help your body fight off those nasty bugs. Take care of yourself, and let the rest go hang until you are *better* (in other words, the tissues and meds are no longer needed). Everyone with 2+ brain cells to rub together agree that we can wait until you aren’t feeling like hell warmed over.
So sorry! Hope you feel better soon. Don’t listen to people on the internet about antibiotics… ha.
d LM a says
Since the discovery of antibioctics … it’s been go to the doctor … emergency room … urgent care ..
TAKING CARE of medical problems means having them long enough for a diagnosis to occur … Yucky Part!
Be sick, to avoid being ill. You were sick enough that a (something) overloaded your system and is making you ill.
Medications, Doctors, Urgent Care won’t stop that. They can & are dedicated to help BUT …
You and yours taking care of your SELVES, not just taking medications is how to get better. Put it all aside take care of you and yours. Be sick, drink fluids, eat healthy, sleep often & well. Follow doctor orders, let the outside stuff go after notifications.
I truly dislike being ill. It’s a nonstop process of fluids in one end and out the other. I keep saltine crackers handy cause food, bleh, cooking, achoo. Eating involves chewing which brings me back to … in one end and …
Hope you feel better soon and that Dad had a safe flight home.
Meanwhile I’m counting down the days till Diamond Fire! So excited!!!!!!!! Maybe you can tell. Already preordered!!!!!!! DIAMOND FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear this has hit you so hard.
You come first.
Please go to the doctor and take care of yourself. ???
Just Jill FL says
Hon, it’s not going to be better by tomorrow. You’ll probably be worse, feel it, and not want to go in, even less than you do now. Please just go now, or if your physician has a call-a-nurse/doc function in the practice, Gordon can call them on your behalf since he’s the one with the voice currently. If everyone else needed antibiotics, it’s likely you will too.
The BDH will be here when you’ve recovered. Please take care of yourself, and stop taking care of anyone/everyone else. If you feel bad enough to want your Mummy ?♀️?♀️ this Halloween week, (sorry, bad joke for Gordon since everyone else is too sick to play along), then you are already way past time to go see a doc.
Take care! Hope you feel better soon.
Sara Joy says
Wishing you a solid recovery. I came down with something icky this weekend too. 5 weeks so far working in preschool after years with older kiddos and I’m working on my 4th new cold since starting win the kiddos :). They’re excellent sharers ;).
Pat Crouch says
Take it very slow. I recommend chicken soup and Drambuie, taken a few hours apart. All day long. You can have excellent chicken soup fast using a rotisserie chicken and veggies on hand. Be sure to combine garlic, onion, celery, and ginger in the broth. Somewhere on line is an article about why this is such a health booster/infection fighter. Your fans love you. Please take care of yourself.
Philda Todzaniso says
I hope you went to the doctor. I hope you are feeling better.
I’m so sorry you’re sick. Please see the doc tomorrow. Look on the bright side, at least your kids are grown. Now they can help you. They are excellent errand runners. Feel better soon!
Hope you made it to the doctor’s. Hubby was down with a sinus thing for two weeks. It slipped into his chest and he was still super phlegmy after two courses of Augmentin. Both kids got it but I have somehow miraculously avoided it.
I know you have had HEAPS of medical advice over the years, but just wanted to give you my two cents’ worth. If you can, supplement meds with nasal saline rinses twice a day, and Umcka (it’s a tincture made from the root of a South African plant that can help cut symptoms). It is also sold under the name Kaloba. Airborne helps boost your immunity.
When kids get really bad, I do a steam treatment with eucalyptus. Pour boiling water in a sink, add a few drops of eucalyptus, then stand over it steam with a towel around your head and upper torso. Bend over steam, and inhale a few times. The towel acts as a tent, trapping steam in. Come up for air after you can’t take the heat anymore, then repeat a couple more times. For manly husband, who kicks up a fuss when he’s ill, I put the oil into an essential oil diffuser near him at night.
Please take care. My friend’s bf had food poisoning which turned into myocarditis. I am now super paranoid when flu symptoms worsen. Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you get better soon.
I was sick all of July and I had to travel at my most sick to to fly up to Calgary and back …it was respiratory,I was not hungry and I coughed until I felt inside out……being sick sucks….
One does tend to break down physically after really stressful events like having ones Dad visit and possibly criticize…..
In the last 12 Months I lost my Lipizzaner Mare to cancer then my knee replacement did not improve then my Mom died then I gained a bunch of weight out off stress, now in 2 weeks I have eye surgery and the idea of shots in my eye scares the piss out of me and my hair is coming out way to much in the shower…my Andalusian. Horse did not get better from shots in hocks and stifle ,and he still hurts and I have been trying to get the Vets to look at his high hip …so even more money ,and I can’t ride for at least 5 days after eye surgery….
Life……. it does not get better…just different
Just an amusing vent to make you feel better…is it working?
Hope you go to urgent care. I was traveling and did not go. Ended up sick for 5 weeks, coughed so much my rib cage muscles tore, and I broke off a piece of the back of my eye. I now have an amoeba that is black in my vision. No fix. So please go in. This crud is bad.
Wish I could say something original, but I think all the previous posts have it covered. We love your writing and the worlds you share with us. Please take care of yourself. Prevention is good, as soon as you’re able, have your flu shot – hope this isn’t the flu, but your doctor should be able to tell you. Another oldy that’s on a comeback is pertussis (whooping cough), so that’s another vaccine to get as soon as you are well enough, TDAP (tetanus, diptheria and pertussis). An antibiotic will cure pertussis for most adults, but you’re left with a nasty cough for weeks and if you have any very young or very old in your life – they are the most vunerable and can get very sick. Eat well, drink plenty of water, take a good multi vitamin and sleep. We’ll all be here, very patiently waiting and oh so glad to hear that you are better.
Poor darling girl. Thanks for thinking of us with an update. Many good ideas here and let me add one more obvious one. Having autoimmune illness has taught me DUH! How all this stuff is connected. New home tricky weather stress from family overuse hand injuries PRESSURE and our every helpful body just breaks to slow us down. You are getting a lesson. Your body is politely saying STOP! You are important so don’t be dumb like me. Listen to your body and time out.
Oh no! Hope you feel better soon.
Oh no! Hope you feel better soon.

Oh dear, hope you feel better soon!!!
Rest and get better.
When I had flu b- disgusting disease- consuming elderberry juice, clear liquids, chicken noodle soup and rest kept me going.
Didn’t stop the pain, but I could breathe .
Made sure I got the flu shot this year
Awwww, I’m sorry you’re so miserable. So glad Gordon’s there to get you to urgent care if need be. Take care, and get well and feel better soon. It’s got to be the pits to feel so awful.

Please get to doctor. Rest & chicken soup will help. So sorry to hear you are I’ll.
Constantly changing weather; wet then sunny, then wet again. Your immune system doesn’t know which way is up and for what should that system be prepared? I, too, have a sinus infection, and it’s the pits, but not as bad as a throw-up bug. I hope you feel better soon, and your dad is not taking home a souvenir of his own to share back there. If he didn’t catch it at your house, he always has the opportunity to pick it up in a plane full of germy strangers. Rest and get better, we are all sending good vibes in your direction.
Oh my goodness! Sorry to hear you are feeling so bad!! ?? I am sure Gordon is taking good care of you, although I do understand the desire (even though I am in my fifties now!) to want my mother when I am really, really sick! I hope you begin to feel better very soon! Do not worry about the blog or SOTB. The important thing is for you to rest and feel better! Do everything Gordon tells you to (well, … after further consideration I will say do ALMOST everything Gordon tells you to ?) he is, I am sure, trying to help and trying to make you better. If you are anything like me, you make a better nurse to everyone else, and a poor patient yourself. Lol! Try to be a good patient and get the rest you need to help you heal. Also, try to do all the things you tell your kids to do when they are in the same situation you are. I hope you feel much, much better very soon! ?
God bless you with an uneventful and complete recovery. ?

In my experience, Bacterial Sinusitis likes to turn into Bronchitis and/or pneumonia. I will be keeping my fingers crossed that this is not your experience, as well. Hope you all feel better soon!
Sending healing love and energy to you all. Take good care of yourselves. ??

Sending get well wishes ?
Looks like you need Dr. Doolittle’s cup of honey with a spoon of tea in it.
Hopefully it was not related to the water quality degradation last week.
Weather is crazy right now.
Get well soon!
