Ilona Andrews and Graphic Audio are delighted to announce that the Hidden Legacy series will be released as full-cast dramatized adaptations.

I don’t know about life, but the Book Devouring Horde always finds a way! Thank you for all your messages, questions, comments and support that made this happen.

We did it! We’re getting the Baylors and Mad Rogan, ferrets and Grandma Frida, the dashing male secretary with a frying pan, the most professional assassin of all Italian counts, Bug and Sgt Teddy and our many other beloved scenes and characters in full cast and special effects definition.

Graphic Audio will be adapting all seven books in the series: Nevada’s trilogy, the Diamond Fire transition novella, and Catalina’s trilogy. They will also include the bonus unpublished Arabella POV blog exclusives: A Misunderstanding and The Cool Aunt.

This deal is fresh out of the contract oven, so release dates are not yet known and we cannot confirm who the director or cast will be. Of course, these will be updated as soon as Burn for Me is on the schedule.

What is official is the preorder for Magic Shifts, Kate Daniels 8, which Nora Achrati & team have worked so hard to bring us in December 2024. Currently the preorder is only live on the Graphic Audio website, but it will appear on all the usual 3rd party retailers closer to release date.

Happy dance wiggle butt, so many hours of audio devouring ahead!

  9. Fantastic News!!!! Recently re-read the whole Hidden Legacy so I shouldn’t even get withdrawals for some time and (may) wa*t patiently for the release! Every IA character is so complex and unique so it’s only right they get the Graphic Audio treatment to fully bring them to life.

    Technical question: do the HL novels have a longer word count than the KD novels? Wondering about how long the GA adaptions will be (and fearing something might be cut in the interest in length of the recording)…

    • Not on average 🙂 . Nothing will be sacrificed that should be there and the directors are always provided with a list of important moments, fan favorite moments, “this will be relevant later” moments.

  19. I feel like anytime Ilona and Gordon enter into professional discussions, the first thing they should say is “beware the Horde”. Seems only fair to warn the other party that A) we will find out what’s been discussed (and probably before they want it announced), and B) we will nag, er, do all we can to make sure it happens.

  95. o wow! i love this series and GA did a great job with the Innkeepers. Have GA announced the voice talents? I thought the one (Nora, I think) who did Innkeepers was great on narrating and producing it. I hope she takes this on!

    • No, as the blog post says, it’s not yet on the schedule and we don’t know who the director or cast will be.
      Nora would be great 😊- she did both Innkeeper and Kate and had such a great understanding of the IA style and universes.

  122. This is truly fabulous news! What a great series that will be with Graphic Audio’s incredible talents bringing their skills to the table. And what a lovely way to find out — I can’t think of anything that would make my chemotherapy day more memorable unless it was the announcement that Nora Ashrati’s team has secretly been working on them and is now ready to let us listen today! Not a realistic hope but then people undergoing chemo always need something to hope for! And now I have something to laugh out loud about! I wonder if it’s a maniacal laugh like the wicked witch in the 1939 version of The Wizard of Oz — probably accurate. Much appreciation to Mod R and HA.

    • HA is great for Chemo. Many a day was made tolerable during mine because I had their books to escape into. Hang in there, it does get better!

    Hopefully they’ll snatch up the Edge and the Kate Daniels world novels at some point. Or just realize they have audio gold and clean out the House Andrews library with options for all future works!

  153. This is great news. It means that the GA books are selling so they want more. I think that once people get a sampling of IA, they want more because of the writing, the stories, the concepts, the growth of the characters; everything is just so well done. Bravo.

  159. Yay! Very exited to hear this. Sometimes when I listen to books that I have already read, the voices don’t match up to what’s already in my head. So, question: do authors have any say in who voices each role? I’d like to think that the voices at least match what the authors prefer.

    • Graphic Audio are an independent business who contract for the adaptation rights, meaning all commercial and creative decisions are their own.

      That said, especially for the bigger roles, the authors are on hand with suggestions and opinions on the voices cast – as well as any other questions and pronunciation assistance etc is needed.

    I am SO freaking excited to hear that House Baylor is getting a Graphic Audio adaptation, and I GET MORE MICHAEL GLENN AS CURRAN!!!! The whole cast is absolutely amazing, but I have never had more of a book crush on Curran than when he is voiced by Mr. Glenn. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
