Happy release day to everyone receiving the Tor UK edition of This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me today!

If you want your own copy, here are some of the retailer links:
I know it meant more w*iting for us, and the two extra days were torturous enough to make the stiffest upper lip wobble. But in fairness, we are getting some of the prettiest hardcover edges around:

And there’s even more good news to celebrate: This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me has been named one of Amazon’s Best Science Fiction & Fantasy Books of April, while also holding a strong lead in major categories like Epic Fantasy and Romantic Fantasy.
Huge congratulations to House Andrews on such an outstanding launch and to the Book Devouring Horde for coming out in force to welcome it!
I have lists of all the great questions you shared on the spoiler discussion post and I love how everyone is interacting with the story. While we wait for House Andrews to come back from the signing tour and join the discussion, you can read this interview they did for the April issue of BookPage.

One more hype and I’m done: This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me has also been selected as part of Book of the Month’s April lineup! It’s so exciting to see it included, and we’re grateful to @bookofthemonth for the support.
And now, if you’ll excuse me, I will be heading to my local Waterstones to ever so subtly nudge their copies of This Kingdom to their best, most visible lives on the shelves. Public mod service.

Wow
I do this whenever I see their books
So glad to know our dear Mod R is involved in the same Horde-level shenanigans as the rest of us when it comes to reorganizing bookshelves in service to our Authorlords 😀 A very happy UK birthday to Maggie and all her companions!
Since I have the arc, I have been deciding which special edition to get and Im very jealous of the waterstone edition. Im glad we horded well and jumped the book to the top of mountain of amazon. I have been slowly listening to audio book and really enjoying it
I got my signed copy yesterday(UK) extremely happy, ordered Kindle too, to keep the book looking lovey 🙂
Thank you for the pretty books xx
Oooh a signed version lucky you!!
I think my local Waterstones was confused as I got my hardcover yesterday but had to wait till my kindle edition downloaded to start reading as the hardcover went straight into my display cabinet with my Arcane society Hidden Legacy
Wow, the art is awesome. I am on my second read, even better
The UK hardcover is gorgeous! I ordered it instead of the US and Blackwell’s kindly shipped it to arrive a week early. Had to stare longingly at it for another 5 days before reading but that’s all in the past now!
Wow, that was incredibly chalant of you. I am impressed you held back!
Oops I meant NONCHALANT!
Life got in the way. I wanted time to properly devour in one sitting
I snagged the last copy in my bookstore the day it came out!!!! So enjoying this – I find myself sipping it like tea to make it last 🙂
Thank you Mod R.
I received my audiobook at 3am today on Amazon. Next time I plan to use Kobo for all future IA books because everyone gets the book at the same time irrespective of location.
I am still listening to my audiobook- it is all kinds of wonderful. I cannot w*it to get Maggie 2 in my hands…….
Thank you House IA.
Gotta say congrats again to Ilona and Gordon for batting it out of the park! I’m very excited for them.
UK folks, I feel your pain. Because Steve and the ferrets let me down, I have to w@it until the weekend to dive into Maggie.
I didn’t think getting my building shut down would be that difficult. Maybe I didn’t fill out the form early enough for ferret shenanigans? DID STEVE GET LOST? Are he and the ferrets wandering aimlessly trying to free various Horde members from work so that they can read? Do I just need to stay in line?
(If you can’t tell, I have undying love for the idea of Steve and the ferrets.)
Fortunately, it’s a holiday weekend for us, so yay! reading time!
I was in my local Waterstones this morning and searched out the book… not easy to spot as it the pile was in need to topping up… not bad going considering I was there not long after opening time!
The Waterstones copy did look pretty but mine is equally beautiful with the added advantage of being delivered last week. ( I also have the kindle edition and audible)… not a member of the Book Devouring Horde for nothing.
Congratulations House Andrews!! And to thanks to Mod R for all the extras for us on the blog this week. Ferret funs!
I’m so impressed with our UK horders for l*ast those extra few days. I was at my end on Monday night. 🙂 Now I’m just happy and sleepy. And brain is so full. I’m going to start my re-read and maybe put my favorite highlighted quotes up on the spoilers post. Except, yea, right. Gotta work to make up for not working here on Earth for 2 days while I survived Kair Toren.
Such as amazing book! Thank you!!
Poor me. I live in France and I will receive my book only end of next week. I’m avoiding all spoiler discussions. Weep with me.
Congrats HA on the wonderful press! And thanks to Mod R for the extras and keeping the horde engaged as we chalant our way through the week!
I don’t comment online, I’ve read most of Ilona Andrew’s books. I was utterly captivated by This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me. I’ve read it twice already. My congratulations to the authors on the epic world building. Thank you.
Congratulations, House Andrews on the great book launch!
The BookPage interview was interesting. BookPage also has a very positive review of the book.
What a lovely edition! I ordered a regular old hard copy from Barnes & Noble and have had the fun reading some pages hard copy and also listening while I take walks. Titrating it out to read a bit by bit… Reminds me of the joy of having a physical book in hand. LOVE IT! THANK YOU HOUSE ANDREWS!
Congratulations to House Andrews on a huge success! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Now the UK faction of the Horde will now understand why we of the US faction of the Horde couldn’t say a particular name in the spoiler section. Mod R didn’t want us to ruin it for the rest of you.
I’m re-reading This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me for the second time from the start. No skipping the chapters this time like I did for the first read since I had bought the teaser chapters before the entire book came out.
Now, we need Steve and the ferrets to sneak Maggie #2 out. 😉
