::sticks her head out:: I think we done migrated to the new server. A few hiccups aside, it went smoothly so fingers crossed nothing breaks. We will be resuming our normal broadcast tomorrow.
Cornelius and Leon say hello.
Cornelius smiled again. “I do so love happy endings.”
“Happy ending for you, maybe,” Leon told him. “I didn’t get to shoot anybody.”
First, I would get a giant glass of iced tea. And then I would nap.
Cornelius shook his head. “Your reliance on violence is quite disturbing. What happens when you meet someone faster than you?”
My cousin pondered it. “I’ll be dead, and it won’t matter?”
Thanks for the snippet. I do so hate being bored.
That was perfectly said!
Thanks for the snippet! Counting the days til release!

I am re-reading Hidden Legacy in preparation 🙂
Last week I re-read all of Innkeeper.

Thank you for the snippet! I missed Leon’s perspective on things, it’s so very…refreshing in the best disturbing way possible ????.
Yes! I would love ahook with Leon as the protagonist!
Congratulations! Migrations are always scary! Thanks foe the snippet. Stay cool!
I hope that’s the end of a chapter and not the book. Leon has to use his magic. A resource shouldn’t be wasted.
Agree – especially when they involve a Monday! Bad juju.
I am here for more Cornelius!

I saw Happy Ending and thought, “huh?” 🙂
I love Leon! Thanks for the snippet.
Life is good
I saw multiple comments and now only one…did something change?
Whereas I saw none and thought I was first. Now there are multiple ones, and some posted 20 minutes apart.
And the first time I tried this response, it said error, enter a comment. And now I see the comment in the name field. ::squint::
Nice snippet! I’m in the middle of rereading all the Hidden Legacy novels. I can’t wait for the new one!
Patricia Schlorke says
Congratulations! Thank you for the little snippet between Cornelius and Leon. 😀
For those of us in Texas, stay cool and hydrated.
Oh I hope Cornelius gets a happy ending.
Thanks for the snippet.

Same answer when you ask a bomb disposal guy if he disarms something wrong. Except it just wont be his problem anymore.
Judy B says
Best t-shirt I ever saw, on the front said, “Bomb Disposal expert”, and on the back, “If I’m running, try to keep up.”
Oh Leon!! It will matter!! I will miss you and probably cry for real tears.
Hope the new server works well for you guys!

I don’t know what it says about me but Leon is my favorite Baylor.
Leon is a gem. What would the Baylors do without his and Grandma’s quirky view on things?
Helen W. says
Grandma needs a story!
Yes – would love to see what happened first time her husband took her home to meet the parents…
Well, he’s not wrong.
Fingers crossed things stay ok on the new server.
Spoke too soon. It’s freaking out when I try to post a reply to another comment.
So, when you click on Continue Story, you don’t see any comments.
Dear God I love Leon!

Love this… Love the thought process of Leon. Thank you very much for sharing. I am grateful that your servers appear to be going well.
Love It! Go Leon
Good point, Leon.
Heh, Leon, funny! However, I have to think that Cornelius the Skillet Bludgener “because it feels more real” has limited room to talk….
Yeah Leon and Cornelius. I am so excited. Thank you
Hello new server. *pat pat pat* You’ll get a lot of visits next week on book birthday. You can do it!
Thank you for the snippet! Ah, Leon. LOL.
Joyce Wilke says
Oh that’s a TEASE!!! I was looking for more, now I have to wait ????????????????????
Is it just me or is the line about a giant glass of iced tea in the middle of the Leon/Cornelius conversation a bit weird/out of context?
This is likely from Catalina’s point of view as the other’s talk.
Someone needs to get through to Leon that if he resorts to violence that could have been avoided and the other person is faster, then, while he’ll be dead and won’t care, his loss would hurt his family. Though it might be more useful to point out that it would leave those he cares about vulnerable to an enemy who was faster then him.
Argh!!!!! One week left!!!!!

That snippet leaves me concerned for Leon
Wow, the site is really fast now! Yay. “I’m looking for” at the top shows up twice for me (mobile)

Hey I’m sure someone has said it but since you’re not warning us that Sapphire Flames will be late, I wanted to thank you for cramming to release the book on time. I know you guys had multiple crises to deal with so the effort is really really REALLY appreciated, especially since I’ve been counting the days until release! (Oh and if I’m wrong and it IS late we understand!)
You don’t have to worry. It’s been out of their hands for weeks, if not months. It takes time to print books in mass quantities and I’m guessing Avon (I think) did a pretty good press run for this book.
Hey, House Andrews, looking forward to seeing you Monday evening at Murder by the Book.
Drive safely in Houston traffic, especially if you opt to go past or on Loop 610W at 59/69. Construction is a real time waster there…
Suzann Schmid says
Man, talk about pragmatic????. Thank you. Need all the distraction I can get. Been craptastic lately.
Amanda P says
Hope the book release goes will, I’ll be checking to make sure I pre-ordered it ….again! Good luck and Thanks for the snippet, gotta love Leon????
Woop woop, I was wondering if we’d get some Cornelius!
Less than a week. *-*
I love the snippet. Thanks so much
Karen Orrence says
I’m going on vacation in a couple weeks and to make it a really GREAT vacation, I’m taking the new release (Sapphire Flame) with me and reading it on the beach (Myrtle Beach, SC). It will be extremely difficult not to devour it right away, but I have a strong will, and this is my reward for working hard all year. I will also be bringing the new G.A. Aiken book and the new J.D. Robb book. What a great reading vacation!
I’m also going on vacation a couple of weeks after release — debating whether I can make myself hold off so I have a “treat” to read while relaxing at the beach… Nahhh, I doubt it! (I’ll do my re-read at the beach 😉
Karen Orrence says
Enjoy it, and your vacation!
Thanks for the snippet! Counting the days…
Nancy C. says
I am also in the middle of re-reading all the hidden legacy books in order to prepare for the latest installment. It’s a happy undertaking 😀
Thank you for posting the snippet. Aw, Cornelius

Completely off topic – I was sorting books, cleaning bookshelves yesterday, found Magic Stars — and realized I Hadn’t Read It Yet!! What a great way to finish up the cleaning – reading a new IA.

Thank you! Lots of Love!

Eh, I’m with Leon on this one, hard to care if you’re dead ????

I do have a soft spot for Leon. I’m glad I’m not responsible for making sure he lives to see his old age, or even adulthood, but he is a great character.
Yeah, the site ate my comment on Rita’s post.
It was not important. This is just FYI. (Because if we don’t say anything, it won’t get fixed.)
I hit “post comment” and was returned to the top of the page. No post showed up when I did it (11:30ish, CDT), nor is it showing now.
cornelius and leon? interesting
just trying out comment
Alison Parker says
I ADORE Leon! And Cornelius is back, huzzah!
Crossing my fingers for a glitch free environment!
Cornelius never left, did he?
Nor that I’m wishing our lives away or anything, but the 27th is almost here! Can hardly wait for more Leon!
Fingers crossed on things going well.
Leon is just so practical it’s funny.
Glad your migration went well they can be a tech nightmare if something goes wrong. Yeah and Leon definitely sounds like a teenager to me.
I’m such a luddite that tech goes right over my head so I don’t really get what you’re talking about- but I’m glad you’re up and running. Thanks for the bit with Leon- I’m looking forward to hearing more about him and Bern. Cheers!
