On Mother’s Day I got all sorts of loots.
And everyone helped put together the lawn furniture and then hung out on the patio. So I had a lovely time and I hope yours went as well as mine did.
Some announcements.
Mia culpa, I messed up. When the publisher and I discussed the ARCs, I didn’t realize that we were discussing the printed version for trades. The e-ARCs will be up on May 17th. Please don’t bombard Pam with requests. She has several hundreds now and she sent a very polite email, and now I feel bad.
The Sweep of the Blade edits require us adding a few things, so we are still aiming for June, but for the tail end.
So sorry, no exciting announcements. Here are some cute pics instead.

I use to do extra spoiling for my mom on Mother’s Day when she was still alive. She always told me I spoiled her on all the other days of the year and asked why I did the extra spoiling on Mother’s Day. I always told her “You deserve it.” Now, I honor her memory by taking myself out for a small breakfast (I don’t do well with huge breakfasts).
Try not to burn out on edits. Yes, the BDH is waiting with baited breath to get the book… Just pace yourselves. 🙂
So we have to wait a bit – so what? We’ll gratefully receive what is received when it comes – hmmm, the Lords Prayer has just nudged into my brain… no heavenly allusion intended! Those Hagen Daz ice creams are pretty fine – enjoy

I eagerly await “sweep of the blade.” I really enjoyed that book in its series form. I know that scenes will added, adjusted, or even cut. I will mourn the cuts, but I know that the finished product will be wonderful.

I’ve seen romance Twitter updating each other the past few days on whether Sapphire Flames is up or not. Doesn’t really matter for me since I always get rejected because I’m not a US reviewer. Will just have to try to be patient until August arrives!

Belated happy mother’s day . I am glad you had a good day, any day that included ice cream is a good day.
And don’t worry about deadlines. We can just reread Hidden Legacy, or Kate Daniels, or the other Innkeeper’s or Diamond Flames , or On the Edge series.
The important thing is that they all hold up. Does matter how many times you read them, you laugh, hold your breath and say “ Here kitty, kitty, kitty.”

I had a great mothers day. I always love the cute cat and dog pictures. I almost didn’t see the puppy. They blend in. What a great picture. Good things come to those that wait.

Glad you had a good Mother’s Day! I just finished my Mother’s Day Part 2. My wonderful hubby, for some reason, decided that this year I deserved 2 days to celebrate Mother’s Day. Yes, yes, I am spoiled rotten!! He often gets spoiled by me, so it all evens out in the wash. ? My stepson, who used to actively try to sabotage the relationship between his dad and myself, has now completely flipped his attitude and is my biggest fan. ??♀️ This didn’t just happen overnight, but after his dad and I dated for three years, and shortly before our wedding. Well, this Mother’s Day, these two men in my life thought one day wasn’t enough, and arranged two days that really made me feel special. I am very blessed!
I loved your cat with dog pictures. Your Shih Tzu looks smaller than your cat (which wouldn’t be that surprising I guess), and both are absolutely adorable!! I saw in someone’s earlier post the same thing I was thinking – are we seeing the models from which Beast and Olasard (the Ripper of Souls) are based? It looks to me like this pair are full of character! I love how the kitty is in front of the Shih Tzu, in what could be perceived as a protective position. I don’t know your pets of course, but I can just imagine it would not be a good idea to harm or even upset anyone in your family when your kitty is around! I bet kitty has a good, long memory of any transgressions, and never forgets to reciprocate. ?? Your little Shih Tzu appears to have excelled at achieving the innocent, sweet, and adorable little cutie pie look that nobody expects anything nefarious from, who is also a viscious defender of their human(s). I had an extremely loyal little Pomeranian, who could drop the “cute” so fast it would make your head spin, if he thought I was being threatened in anyway. Then, all one could see was a reddish gold dust bunny, flashing teeth, growling menacingly (or as best he could), and charging faster than any respectable dust bunny should. It was an awesome sight to behold!! ?. Sometimes there was no warning before he decided I was being threatened, or no logical reason that I could come up with. Most of the time he was locked into the cutenesses mold, but his alter-ego “Defender of the Treat Giver” would make a sudden, dramatic appearance at any movement or attitude that he perceived as a threat. Sadly, he died over a year ago, but boy did that dog pack a large personality into a tiny package. He would have much larger dogs run in fright from anywhere on our property. And, he was

Breann, not the owner or poster but I believe this is a Keeshond often shortened to Kees. The plural is Keeshonden. I had two myself. Mine were wonderful dogs with personality of sweet mischief. They liked people, other dogs, cats and tended to overlook critters they weren’t sure of such as toads (what toad, I don’t see a toad).

A keeshond! We had one and he was the most amazing dog. Cute and loving, and oh, so furry! Our cat used to make a spot for herself in his fur when she was cold. Great photo, Tiffany.

Happy belated Mother’s Day; good to hear you got lots of loots. Ice cream is my weakness, and now all I can think of is that box of Hagen Daaz bars with the yummy crunchiness.
It’s just hubby and I, so no family incursions on our end. We planted flowers and stuff. For almost 20 years we have lived in this house, and all this time I wanted a bed along the south side with ixoras and roses and day lilies. He poo-pooed it. Then just recently, he had a brainstorm – plant a flower bed along the south side with ixoras, day lilies, and roses… Hmmmm.
It was a fine time. Even though the Indian restaurant was closed. I ate ice cream instead.

Those roses are gorgeous. The Haagen Dasz is sending me back into the cabinet for my own chocolate loot (Alter Eco, and lots of it).
