I am concerned for team glitter, of which I am NOT a member. I just want to see them run around in a panic.
Skye says
Yeah, team shifter here, all the way. Vampires suck! Oh, right, they do ….
Lee says
So fun! Thanks for sharing.

I howled with laughter lunatic when I read this in public transportation no less
SuperJD says
I was literally giggling out loud reading this. You two are hilarious.
RJ Blain says
I’m dying from the laughter. OMG.

Thank you both for including us. Such a wonderful friendship.
Peace light and love. K

?? this and I got my signed copy of Magic Triumphs today from the mail! Having a great Friday!
Tink says
Ok, how many people have tried emailing the Master of the Dark Coven? I’m blocked from using my personal email at work and I definitely do not want to use my work email to correspond with the Master, but I would totally do that if I could.
Faith says
Wonderful healthy humor in a world where much darkness prevails. Thanks for the rays of sunlight …
Tink says
Oh, and that Master dude has been around for a while. I Googled his name.
“Dromichaetes was king of the Getae on both sides of the lower Danube (present day Romania and Bulgaria) around 300 BC.”
Jenn says
Of course !! Lol ?
Tammy says
I love this. Just love it so much ?
Gail G says
You obviously have the right agent! This is funny but also weird. One hopes the crazy person…ahem, vampire takes a much deserved nap with a stake…er, snack. Oy.
Lynda MS says
LOL! Although I hate to paint a (fanged) target on a population, I might point out that Texas has most of these attributes. No jungles, alas.
kommiesmom says
The thickets along the Rio Grande and the upper Texas coast come darn close to jungle, especially in the bayou country close to Louisiana. It is sub-tropical mostly, but still double and triple canopy.
One of my co-workers used to grow orchids outside in Houston. She only took them in when it froze hard (below 30 degrees F). They were beautiful – and very healthy.
An says
Thank you Authorlords for the bwahahahas on this grim morning.
Kathryn says
Lol!! This is hilariously awesome. I just hope that the Master of the Dark Coven doesn’t decide to visit Texas and ask about the vampires in Kate Daniels’ universe.`
Patricia Schlorke says
Or even in the Innkeeper series. 😀
Natasha Johnson says
I think they would like the innkeeper vampires they are Savage in nature
T says
Thank you for the laughter today and the last few days it is always appreciated even more so today. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes and recently it has become a very welcome escape (lost our 1st pregnancy earlier this week after trying for 2 years). It happens and we will try again! The eternal optimist in me is slowly coming back out. I’m currently re reading the Kate books! So thanks for that as well. 🙂
Natasha Johnson says
Lol I could just imagine!!
What is this that you are telling people that we are empty minded and can be controlled by what do you call them the People…. we have had so called “people” come up and stare at us stop telling people that they can control our minds it only annoys us. The creatures that the so called “people” pilot are abomination of some sort not vampires.
Natasha Johnson says
Whoops sorry that was suppose to be a reply to Kathryn
T says
HAHAHA no worries loved your response, had me completely confused. Had to go back and reread Kathryn’s response! Laughter is the best medicine!
Natasha Johnson says
T I am sorry to hear of your loss that is very hard on the heart but it will happen eventually I’m a firm believer in all things happen for a reason we never know why and it can be hard but it will work out in the end to either make us stronger or more joyful.
May God Bless you and your family.
Claudia says
I’m very sorry for your loss. Sending good thoughts!
JoAnn Arnold says
So sorry for your loss. The same thing happened to my daughter last December. She was in her 8th month. And now she is expecting twins in November. We still think about Spyro (the baby’s nickname) as we nervously look forward to the twins. Optimism is a very good thing and very often rewarded.
KathyInAiken says
So entertaining! Thank you. I believe Nancy has hidden talents. When is her book to be published?
Nancy C. says
Right?! What if Nancy starts guest posting on the blog. Too cool!!!! ?????
Tink says
Maybe she could be named the U.S. Ambassador to the Vampire Nation.
Cristina says
I wish my correspondence was at least half as intriguing. Alas, the majority of my mail consists of requests for money, sales pitches for penis enlargers (let me note here that I am of the female persuasion) and diatribes describing my general social ineptness.
Violet says
This is just funny. Lol
Karren says
Choking with laughter and pounding my fist on my desk in glee. Now how to explain to my coworkers why …
Pat Sciarini says
Too funny! A wonderful reprieve from my less than stellar day! Thank you!
Margaret R says
Vampire persons…you crack me up!
Patricia Schlorke says
What a way to start a weekend. I’m laughing along with the rest of the BDH who have commented. 🙂
Nan C. says
This communication has been a bright spot in a dark week. Thank you.

Giggle. Have we nothing better to do today? Nope, it’s Friday. Good things appear today!
Jenn says
Did you know how much I/we need humor right about now? 🙂 “Dromeo, if I may…” LOL.
Rachel says
…I should know better by now not to read your blog posts while at work, lest inopportune laughter shall occur.
Bentje says
Well, that’s quite fascinating.
We’ll probably have to tell our readers to keep an eye on your blog… otherwise we’d have to change into a daily delivered newspaper.
Rohaise says
Too funny. Thanks for the giggles.
Scott Drummond says
This is so much fun!

Claudia says
Bwahaha, thanks for the laugh!!
VeronicaK says
Hilarious! You guys are on a roll. Ancient crabby vampires beware!
Nan says
fangmaster4life – LOL at email!!!!
You guys are hilarious. Love the editor’s response too.
Thanks for the update on this “scandal”!
gailk says
Fridays are just special with all the posting and snippets and innkeeper . We are just grateful for each and very twist and turn . And now Dromeo , OHH my it’s getting serious if the vampires are getting riled up. Better stock up on garlic, holy water and stakes. And watch your back.
Thank you and Jeaniene and Nancy.
Rena says
They might have to call in Jane Yellowrock to deal with things. 🙂
Nita says
Check out Nancy sharpening her stakes lol. Can’t wait to see his response to Shades!
Sechat says
Howling(with laughter)
Lynn Fitz says
Totally giggle worthy. Thank you!

As a resident of the mosquito-laden, sun scorched, transient-attracting state, I am hugely entertained!
I shall sit on my porch, languishing in the heat and bug repellent, awaiting further details on these communications.
Ami says
??? If that’s really Nancy, she just won some epic cool points with me.
I love y’all.
Patrick says
You’re absolutely batty!!! 🙂 Thanks for the wonderful post, it really made my day.
kommiesmom says
Ya’ll are having waaayy too much fun!
Thanks for sharing.
Simone says
Too funny! And I find it highly amusing that a vampire is annoyed by a fellow bloodsucker (mosquitos). Loved both letters. Thanks for the afternoon laugh.
Skye says
What’s the phrase? I love you so hard! Yeah, that’s it. Kind of young / trendy / internet-produced, but it works. All hail to our soon-to-be overlord (i live in Seattle, which is a perfect climate for the daylight-sensitive), Master Dromeo.
Jana says
All I read was Key Lime Pie. ??
strangejoyce says
Great repartee, Nancy and Dromeo! the email address started it for me but the edited “sucklicant” pushed me over. absolutely LOVED THIS!!!!
James says
oh my I am laughing aloud at work with my door open people are walking by in the hall looking in at me. (probably wondering if I escaped the inpatient unit as I am in mental health). Thank you so much.
Jamie says
What an imagination…
Simon Lyon says
Shades of Wicked is by Jeaniene Frost by the way. How that can be confused with Illona Andrews is a mystery.
I can’t quite figure out if this is someone with a seriously bent sense of humor trying to get a free copy (it’s not officially published yet) or more worryingly actually believes they’re a 300 year old vampire.
I’m leaning, hopefully, towards the former.
Simon Lyon says
Oh, and the ALs obviously chose well in having Ms Yost as their agent. She’s hilarious!
Rena says
It is a joke, they are friends. See Jeaniene’s response here.
http://jeanienefrost.com/category/blog/
Saira says
These “letters” are too funny. Thanks for the link!
Gretchen says
Possibly because Jeaniene and Ilona are BFFs.
JLH says
Seriously bent? It’s light humor and meant to be fun. I don’t see it how you could think that it’s real or that the person genuinely thinks that they are a 300 year old vampire.
It’s fun, meant to entertain the authors and us, and it does the trick.
Nancy Yost’s response is great.
Kat says
Fantastic, you never fail to amuse and two of my favorite author banter is wonderful. Thank you
Rena says
It is really funny. I am enjoying the back and forth. It is a nice break from reading contracts on the offer I am making for a new house.
Marianne says
+1. Absolutely hysterical!! I love it!! ??????????
J.Lee Conaway says
LMAO This is hilarious. So much fun to read little bits and peices such as these. Thank you for the enjoyable interlude on a grey, wet day.
cooper says
All I have to say is thanks for the laugh. The Andrews have a sick sense of humor. I appreciate that.
Thanks again.
Be well and take care,
cooper
Jules says
Brilliant as always. Nancy is an unexpected treat – sucklicant, indeed.
Ayana says
You know you’re in for a treat when you haven’t even gotten past the email address before you’re laughing out loud. I can’t help but think that Fangmaster4unlife would be a great gamertag, especially if the person stayed in character for all in game chat.
Also loving Nancy. Thanks for the giggles on a day I really needed them.
Bin says
Lol do you mean like that stonemountain64 commander guy ? Omfg that would be fangtastic!
Christina says
Hilarious!! Love this. I don’t know how you thought of this but it is awesome!!! Can’t wait to see what the Master if the Dark Coven thinks of Wicked Nights. I personally can’t wait to read it.
Jean says
This exchange reminds me of the columns one of the Chicago newspaper Op-Ed writers used to address occasionally to various denizens of the Lower Depths, generally involving hijinks of a political nature. Great reading and good laughs!
Dianne says
Huzzah!!!!
NickiC says
So much fun, especially after a very long week. Thank you!
Kara Rogers says
Will it work with Nancy if I write her too?
GailinPgh says
It worked and the advance copy is coming!
I was going to applaud having an agent with a sense of humor, but decided that is probably a prerequisite for a successful agent.
The line that got me the hardest was “I detest mosquitoes.”
Emily07 says
Thank you for sharing. I couldn’t stop laughing and it just made my day. Nancy Yost has a wonderful sense of humor and it was a fun read.
Sandra says
Love the back and forth & the creativity 🙂
Waiting on Ian’s book.
Susan says
Ditto! Also preordered the book!
Gaelle from France says
You’re so funny ! This is art.

“You” plural, i.e., kudos to Ms. Yost, too!
Sivi says
Really worried on what they will do next. JF may need some protection organised…wonder if there are any guilds around who could help…
Sharon says
Hi everyone in the UK … nothing to do with the above post, but I’ve just noticed Amazon UK has Iron and Magic as a Deal of the Day (Sat 6/10) at 99p!!! You have 5 1/2 hours ….
Carol says
I love it! I really love that your editor played too!!! Great fun! I gotta get her series …. after all we must support the new view of vampires. LOL
Lisa says
All I have to say is that I am #8 of the 113 holds for this book at my library. ????
Karen says

Jac says
Nancy and Ilona: you are wicked, wicked women. Do not change a thing!!
Snorted my coffee when I read this. Cleared sinuses right out. Hugs guys.
