In the end, it’s paint. Yes, it sucks, but it’s only paint. It can be fixed with money and inconvenience. The house is clean and feels a bit more like home. We will get it fixed.
Let’s talk about something else.
I have watched this. It was amazing
He dies and pops back into his body a decade before his own death. This is called a portal fantasy. Political intrigue, found family, competence porn. Happy ending. Lee Joon-gi is a real martial artist. The fight scenes were great. Everything was great. I liked it so much, I have this on my playlist now.
I am watching this. It is amazing.
The magic! The fighting! The angst! The funnies!
I will watch this. It will be amazing.
Now you do your three.
PS. Mod R will be gone for a few days, so it will be me moderating. ::rolls up sleeves:: I think I still remember how.
Len says
Black, you have to try Black, it’s a fantastic Kdrama.
It’s really intelligent, funny and keeps you guessing right until the end.
We were addicted and it’s what got us into watching kdramas.
Lots of sympathy for the house and demand they redo it one wall at a time.
Ilona says
Michelle says
+1 Black is good
Becky says
???? I got it one wall at a time, and it didn’t cost me a dime..????
Darleen says
lol
Len says
Wait woa, was I first?
Jenn says
I LOVE Alchemy if Souls!
Also, Our Beloved Summer (no fantasy, but interesting characters, love to hate to love..)
Hotel De Luna
Ilona says
Hotel De Luna was too sad for me, but I appreciated what I’ve watched of it. 🙂
Harukogirl says
So interestingly enough, Alchemy of Souls and Hotel De Luna are both written by the sister writing duo know as “the Hong Sisters” by fans. Hotel De Luna WAS probably their saddest drama, although I adore it.
Some gems by them include Masters Sun, A Korean Oddessy, Best Love, and a personal favorite, My Girl… which happens to be one of Lee Jun Ki’s breakout roles. I’ve watched almost all their dramas, and only didn’t like one (BIG).
I’m massively looking forward to Alchemy of Souls. Waiting on my sis to watch it together
Harukogirl says
Ohhh and “My girlfriend is a Gumiho” – can’t believe I forgot that one! It might be my favorite.
Jenn says
+1
Thank you!! I’m looking into these others!
Relin says
Those look like fun! I haven’t seen as many Kdramas as I feel like I should. Generally been excited to watch Yuri on Ice, and looking forward to Our Flag Means Death.
Hope the house stuff gets fixed in a way that works more kindly for your scheduling.
Becky says
Our Flag Means Death was fun.
Pang says
I haven’t watched any kdrama recently, but I have watched a really good korean horror movie. Available on amazon prime: Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum.
Mary Cruickshank-Peed says
My kids love K-drama and anime. I can’t do close captioned tv. If I’m “watching TV” I’m listening to it and knitting or crocheting or doing something on the computer. The boys get enthusiastic about whatever K-drama they’re currently into and some of them.sound really good… Danged ADD brain.
Leslie Sexton says
Loving all these great suggestions. I love K drama. Used to watch the Korean historical soap operas when I was stationed there in the 90s. Some had English subs and the costumes were to die for.
We love Reacher and Bosch. Watching Dark Wind on AMC (also on AMC+ if you must binge). If you are a Tony Hillerman fan, it’s a must watch.
Laurence says
Wow I want to see number 3!!!!
Thank you ????
Debbie says
We’ve been hooked on series adapted from books. Joe Picket, Bosch, and Reacher. Basic, but entertaining. Looking forward to the Princess too!
I didn’t comment before, but also wanted to offer my sympathies on the remodel. They can be the worst! We remodeled a home before moving in and I swear, I ended up hating that house because of all the issues! The good news for you is that you will be selling yours!
Hang in there. Sending you hugs and good energy!
NSum says
I didn’t know they did the Joe Picket books. I thought they were doing the Cassie ones from The Highway books. What did they call the Joe Picket ones and what streaming service are they on please?
Sheryl says
It’s called Joe Pickett and in the US it’s available on Paramount+. They release one per week on Sundays maybe or maybe it’s a different day. I think there are 8 of 10 available now. I’ve watched the first 3 and they are good. I have not read the books so I can’t compare them.
Sleepy says
Ooh kdramas. Will try these suggestions. Some of my favorites:
– Uncanny Counter
– Sell Your Haunted House
– Move to Heaven (tearjerker but in a good way)
– Racket Boys (endless wholesomeness 🙂 )
– Our Beloved Summer
– Hometown Cha Cha Cha
– Navillera (also a tearjerker but heartwarming)
And for not Kdrama loving these recently:
– Kotaro lives alone (starts slow but then you are obsessed and sobbing I promise you)
– Invincible (I’m late to this train but I’m so aboard)
– Umbrella Academy
– March Comes in Like a Lion (slow at first, but amazing in a quiet way)
– Psych (which I’ve been binge watching cuz everyone needs a binge of Psych craziness once in a while)
– Old Enough (these little kids are adorbs and the episodes are short enough to just watch a little at a time!)
Steph says
I liked Kotaro Lives Alone too! Haven’t seen the others (yet).
Rue says
Navillera had me bawling the whole way through.
Therese says
Psych is one of my go-to shows when I’m feeling down and don’t want to be accidentally triggered! 🙂
Ryl says
Psych. I live for the Gus moments. The vampire episode with Lassie, and the flashback episode (where they wake up at the office with no memory and have to figure out the previous day) are the beeeeeest.
Shellb says
My trifecta of comfort shows: Eureka, The Librarians, Psych.
Relin says
Old Enough was so cute! Some of those kids kept working hard in situations that I, a grown adult, would have thrown in the towel.
Smmoe1997 says
Thanks so much for sharing your 3, and #3 looks absolutely ah-mazing! That’s my kind of princess. I haven’t been watching much lately, I did watch Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but other than that I’ve either had Air Disasters or baseball on as my background, I’ve mainly been reading. Currently working my way through the last few books of the Miss Fortune series in between writing stuff for work and trying to figure out insurance for a quilt.
Janet says
I love the Miss Fortune series. Unfortunately figuring out insurance for quilts is a pain. I am an avid quilter and have to adjust insurance quite often. There are sites you can go to that will help you out.
Smmoe1997 says
Ooh! Any suggestions? My google searches have come up with mostly articles that refer to a dead site.
lia says
oo! Watching the comments for new tv recommendations. We’re in a lull and looking for something good to get hooked on.
If you’d like a movie rec, we just saw Marcel the Shell with Shoes On and it was cute and glorious.
Brianna says
Well now we know why Arabella’s so gone on Chinese dramas 🙂
Ilona says
Technically, the top two are Korean. But I did watch a C-drama recently. It was a xianxia drama with one of my favorite actresses, but unfortunately she was dying or imprisoned for most of it. I think she died three times in this drama and I was like can we get to the butt-kicking part at some point? I mean if it wasn’t for Dilraba, I would’ve skipped this one.
Anyway, here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjR8rG5ekL0&ab_channel=dilrabadilmurat
Tanika says
Oh I did watch this one recently. People were going gaga over it on mydramalist, but I was really annoyed. I found the pacing to be weird and honestly I just couldn’t sink into the story. It was pretty bleh…
Loved Dilraba in the The Long Ballad though!
PyeCat says
I’m watching Stranger Things S4 on Netflix, to be ready for the second part releasing this Friday. The season started with a bang – no slow build this time!
I’ve been told I absolutely must watch Obi-Wan on Disney+, so that’s on the list.
And finally … The Boys on Amazon Prime. Cynical, evil – but so well done.
Tink says
Halo on Paramount+ was good.
And I’m liking the new Star Trek (Strange New Worlds) on Paramount+, too. I heard Picard was good, too; I just got P+ when Halo came out, so I’m slowly streaming through shows I didn’t have access to before.
I did like Squid Game on Netflix and I heard they’re going to do a second season, so I might have to keep Netflix after all. Or maybe I’ll just suspend it after Stranger Things 4. (There is supposed to be a ST5 at some point, too).
Emily says
I love Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. I really enjoy Nurse Chapel, Ohura, and the woman who plays the pilot. New interpretation of classic characters.
I also saw the first season of Picard. You really have to pay attention watching it because I found I got lost easily in it but I love some the STNG character as well as a Voyager character.
Sheryl says
Since you like Star Trek, I highly recommend Star Trek Discovery also on Paramount+. One of my favorite of all Star Trek series. Am also enjoying Strange New Worlds but having trouble getting into season 2 of Picard.
Gressa Sankhe says
+1 for all
I also absolutely loved the Witcher. Henry cavill looks so so good in it.
In C drama I really like Untamed
CJ Krause says
+1 for Witcher
Norbert says
I actually have no idea about K-dranas. But if you like these, I might have a music video for you: I present *** drum roll ***
Babymetal – „Gimme chocolate“
https://youtu.be/WIKqgE4BwAY
The usual reaction to this starts with „WTF is this???“ and then evolves to „I am still confused but I like it!“. 😉
Becky says
This song is used in so many things! ???? It seems like the only song by them (I know it isn’t, it just seems that way)
Rue says
I just started Alchemy of Souls. The Hong Sisters write scary dramas so I’m watching with one eye closed. Staying for Jung So Min because I love her.
Rue says
Be Melodramatic is a good one. Hospital Playlist is also a great comfort watch.
Suze says
Yaaaaas! I devoured Hospital Playlist in a little over a week. So wholesome and lovely, brimming with positivity and kindness.
Jest says
Now looking to see how I can watch them is Australia…
Blue says
A lot are available on Netflix and also Viki via the app 🙂
Noémie says
IQIYI and WeTV are also good apps to watch kdramas… HiTV is also a good one I use
Cassandra says
I started Oh, My General but it was too addicting while I am still taking courses this summer. 60 episodes! The viki ads do cut in at the worst possible time.
Really enjoying Becoming Elizabeth on Starz. It’s surprisingly historically accurate and it’s a time in her life that was dangerous, traumatic, and rarely dramatized. Very good production so far and the acting is excellent.
Also watching For All Mankind on Apple. I love the alternate history of the space race and it also has excellent performances. The premise for the alt-history is what if the Soviets made it to the moon first? Changes quite a few things and it’s hopeful in a way our current American politics are not right now.
Jean says
Movies –
– Lightyear – funny enough for the kids, thoughtful enough for the adults.
– Top Gun: Maverick – (aka Top Gun #2), the flying sequences are Amazing, Maverick and Iceman dealing with being “old lions” is quietly beautiful and moving.
– Jurassic World #3: Dominion – characters with heart and flaws, Jeff Goldblum as a really chill philosopher, and a redemption story line I did not see coming.
Leslie Sexton says
I loved Jurassic Park. I was surprised by that too. No spoilers. They tidied everything up everything nicely.
ann says
1. Oh My Venus – Kdrama, romantic comedy with the very steamy So Jisub. Hulu
2. Absolute Boyfriend – Kdrama, romantic comedy, she falls in love with a lifelike doll/android/himbo. Hulu
3. Business Proposal – Kdrama, romantic comedy. She pretends to be her BFF to avoid a blind date but he is hawt and persistent (not creepy). Netflix
4. Nevertheless – Kdrama, steamy romance, they are in college and hawt. Prettiest man takes off his shirt and leans attractively alot. Oh so much leaning and more kissing than you’d expect. Netflix
Sabrina C. says
I’ve read Absolute Boyfriend, it’s a manga & anime also.
Dawn says
OMG I missed the other post. I hope it can be fixed with as little drama as possible. I have also had some terrible home reno results that I won’t go into – but it’s heartbreaking when it happens, especially if there’s no room in the budget left. I hope it can be made right.
I have HIGH hopes for Princess on Hulu – it looks fun!
I finally got around to Strange New Worlds. If you are a Trek fan – Anson Mount nails Capt Pike (IMO) and the series as a whole was a lot of fun.
I’m looking forward to finally watching the new Doctor Strange and trying to decide if I want to brave people & Theaters to see the new Thor.
I wish I could get into the K dramas – maybe some day 🙂
Omar Mtz says
Maybe you answered this before and I just didn’t see, but did you watch Ancient Love Poetry?? I like it.
Ryl says
Me, trying to comment on the previous post not realizing it was comment-locked, and raging thinking it was my bad internet. XD
Fingers crossed the situation is resolved with minimal hassle to you and yours. <3
All the best~~
LucyQ says
Watched: Everything Everywhere All at Once. I’ve been recommending this to everyone in sight. My fave movie of the year so far and one of my faves of all time.
Watching (or about to watch): The Umbrella Academy season 3
Will watch: Thor Love and Thunder, coming out next week (although I will prolly wait a couple weeks to see it)
Nadira says
Omg Everything Everywhere all At Once is Amazing!!!!
I need to rewatch it to process.
I’ve just rewatched Derry Girls season 1 and 2. It’s hilarious waiting on season 3 to get to Australia
Angela Anderson says
Derry Girls is so awesome! I didn’t know season 3 was coming. Yay!
CTL says
Sandman is coming to Netflix in August. Fingers crossed but they didn’t do a bad job with the Witcher.
Question: there was a movie you referenced as a kind of muse for Julie’s people. It was about a Slavic(?) queen’s rise to power. Lots of cool looking horsemanship. It was released sometime in the last 2 years. Do you remember what it was called? This post reminded me of it. Thanks in advance.
CTL says
Nevermind, found it. Tomiris.
PyeCat says
+1 Sandman
Becky says
Neil was heavily involved in making it, so fingers crossed!
Harriet Chow says
I have to brush up on whatever Korean I know so I can be prepared for my trip, so this is awesome, thanks for the recommendations.
Also, I’m sorry, the bad juju I sent your painters has already been released, I’m afraid my skills are rudimentary at best, so I don’t want to attempt to do any reversals. ????
Anne says
I know I just want you to be happy. Of course life happens, but you are responsible for a lot of joy for me. I’d like it reciprocated by the universe, instead of aggravation!
Laura says
Apparently I like a certain type of show and that type is murder mystery. Currently watching Dark Winds (AMC) and S8 of Endeavour (PBS). The latter feels like murder mystery meets tragedy because the Shaun Evans Morse character is really leaning into the whole “alcoholic grumpy bachelor” thing to align with the John Thaw Morse.
Anyways, I’m looking forward to S2 of Only Murders in the Building (Hulu) for more light hearted murder mystery, lol.
Spring says
I love a good murder mystery! Two of my all time favorites are Knives Out and Gosford Park.
Karen O. says
I just started watching Dark Winds. I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Actors are very good as well, and the Navajo Reservation scenes and culture is riveting.
Leslie Sexton says
Love Dark Winds. I really like that Robert Redford is working this. Quite a few years ago he did two mini series on PBS with Lt Leaphorn and Jim Chee. They were amazing and stuck to the books. GRR Martin is also involved but he still has to redeem himself for the last ending and no last book for GoT. ????
CJ Krause says
???? Endeavor, and thanks for the Dark Winds reminder. I loved the Leaphorn/Chee books.
Libby says
My best “escapes” have come from the original Japanese Iron Chef (with the goofy American dubbing). Battle Tofu was epic. Also, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is the Trek I’ve needed for about 10 years. And any shows about racing and expensive cars. I literally watched Fifth Gear on Pluto the other day.
Keera says
We tend to watch family tv after dinner. Currently we are watching reruns of Malcolm in the Middle and Young Justice. Its new for the kids though so fun watching them enjoy it.
We just saw Jurassic World at the movies because my youngest is obsessed with Dna and dinosaurs. We enjoyed it too though. My 15 yr old is crushing on Dr Malcolm.
In July hubby and I want to see Thor Love and Thunder but the kids (15 and 8) want to see Minions. The budget is one movie theater movie per month. I may drop them off for a Matinee then hubby and I date night for Thor. But I havent fully decided if I want to leave them alone in public though. Even though at 15 I went to the movies and the mall by myself all the time.
Logan Matthew Teague says
Ever watch any of the abridged shows on YouTube? Because DC Universe Abridged made a Young Justice Abridged series as part of their overall story, and it’s hilarious.
Jean says
Dr. Malcolm for the win!!
Am also really hyped for Minions this Friday!! (And the new Thor movie, but — Minions!!!)
Louise says
Ohh a Lee Joon-gi drama! He was amazing in Flower of Evil too.
Recently watched K-dramas as recommendations: Yumi Cells, The Devil Judge, The Veil, Hospital Playlist 2
Recently watch C-dramas as recommendations: One and Only (Part 1)/ Forever and Ever (Part 2), Reset (Groundhog day with crime/mystery), Under the Skin, Day breaker, Ordinary Greatness
Currently watching: A Dream of Splendor (C-drama), Yumi Cells 2
Jade says
Reset was so good!! I’m so glad to see someone else recommend it because I felt like it didn’t get a lot of promotion. I’ve been thinking of rewatching it even though most of the excitement was from seeing the mystery unravel. It was such a great show, I think it might be still worth watching again.
Louise says
So glad to see someone else who likes it! The mystery around it was great. I watched it because I recognised the ML from You are My Hero (which was funny without being too trope-y) and enjoyed it more than expected.
Be Reborn and Under the Skin are also similar crime mystery ones (just not Groundhog Day-like). I’d definitely recommend those if you like the mystery!
PJ says
+1 for Reset
Tanika says
I watched the first episode of Alchemy of Souls and I loooooved it! Of course, now I’ve decided to wait for the whole thing to air so I can binge it later.
Don’t know how far down the Kdrama road you are but another great fantasy drama with great humour is Goblin/ Guardian: The Lonely and Great God! The bromance between the goblin and the grim reaper is just hilarious!
I’m currently stuck down the sports anime hole. I need more Ao Ashi and Love All Play!
Kerri says
This year I really enjoyed Business Proposal. A hadn’t watch kdrama colleague is now blaming me for her Asian binge watching Viki addiction. Whoops.
Currently watching Doom at Your Service. No idea where it’s going but loving the journey.
So many more to watch. Next up is possibly Rattan (cdrama). But am looking forward to the comments on this thread for more ideas.
Logan Matthew Teague says
Wanted to post on the last one but they were already locked. You guys ever watch American Dad? Because your situation reminded me a little of the episode that’s a James Bond spoof. Roger (the supervillain) keeps finding serious errors in his lair, eventually calls his contractor. “Mike, this is unacceptable! Get over here and fix this, and don’t send your stoner son! …I know because I’m not an idiot, Michael! Fix my damn lair, ya thieving bastard!”
Mandy says
I didn’t even think of how bloodthirsty the BDH would be about the last post, but I shouldn’t be surprised. Praying for patience, peace, and quick fixing for all. My abuelita always told me to pray for the people who hurt you because they need it most.
I liked Pop-up Mystic Bar better than Hotel Del Luna. It wasn’t as sad and still had a supernatural storyline that was similar. A Korean Odyssey is probably my favorite though. Master’s Sun is an oldie, but what got me originally hooked. Now, I love all the contemporary romance ones too.
Others:
C-dramas- Love O2O, The Kings Avatar, Falling into your Smile
Thai-Bad Buddy
Sabrina says
Totally agree with liking Mystical Pop-up Bar over Hotel La Luna, I thought the chemistry between the main characters was way better in MPB 🙂
PJ says
YangYang! Also recommend “You are my Glory” . YangYang and Dilireba are great together.
Wont says
Your ending comment “I think I remember how,” sounds like Curran. ????
Natalie says
+1 for Business Proposal – adorable romances for both main and 2nd leads but the friendships are great as well.
Sh**ting Stars (yes thats the title, yes it can be both shooting and… other things) Interesting look at PR people behind korean stars. Funny and cute but touches on some of the negatives of fame.
+1 Everything Everywhere All at Once – honestly one of the best movies ive ever seen.
Joe says
Dark Winds, and World War Z on Amazon. Ipcress Files on AMC+ (not sure about it, loved it at first but…), Slow Horses on apple tv+(very good) and for some strange reason True Blood on HBO max. Oh and I really enjoyed Signora Volpe on, I think it was Acorn
Robin Šebelová says
Drama? Hm, I can recommend one older manga called Hanazakari no Kimitachi E, shortly Hana-Kimi (released in english under Hanakimi by Viz). Taiwanese made a cute mini-series from this. It’s about a girl who pretends to be a boy at all boys junior-high school
And if you are into family, bittersweet story with good end, I can recommend old japanese series from 1978/79 Ougon no Inu (it ran in Czechoslovakia under name Goro, bílý pes). It tells story about girl Reiko and her dog Goro (Kishu-inu). Her father takes Goro to hunt on Hokkaido, dies there and goro goes on long-way back to Tokyo, while Reiko looks for him (and there is also a side plot).
Another great east series I can recommend is old Chinese series (1986-99) Xī You Ji (The Monkey King) – it is a great retelling of Journey to the West. The Son Goku you see there is probably the best to be seen.
Jennifer says
Oooo. I don’t have Netflix, but I do want to watch the Princess on Hulu! Thank you.
Josee says
Ooohhh, The Princess looks good… adding to my list.
My recommendations:
Halo, Reacher, Star Trek, and Stranger Things S4.
On a side note, thank you for recommending Polaris Rising by Jessie Mihalik in a previous post. I read it yesterday, and I really enjoyed it. I’ll definitely read the rest of the series.
Jwocky says
I really liked him in college in Again My Life, but I thought the show got really boring once he grew up. I’m really liking Alchemy of Souls right now. But the best is A Dream of Splendor on WeTv.
Harper says
Thank you for suggesting the k-drama ‘Again my Life’. I have seen Lee Joon-gi’s older show ‘Lawless Lawyer’ and I really enjoyed watching it. The trailer of ‘Again my Life’ has me intrigued.
If you’re looking for an intense action packed k-drama with a badass female lead, I’d suggest watching ‘My Name’. That’s one show that I can rewatch anytime. In general, I really enjoy watching k-dramas and Chinese dramas related to sports and professional e-sports.
Overall, this is a mixture of shows I absolutely love and would recommend:
– My Name
– The King’s Avatar (professional esports)
– Love O2O (professional esports; the TV show, not the movie adaptation)
– The Prince of Tennis (Lawn Tennis)
– Fight for My Way (Taekwondo)
– Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo (Female Weight-lifting)
– Itaewon Class
– Hospital Playlist (medical drama)
– Law School (legal drama)
– Cheese in the Trap (2016 version)
– Something in the Rain
– Who Rules the World
– Search WWW
Stacy Bula says
I have enjoyed umbrella academy and ms. Marvel. I highly recommend Arcane on Netflix-amazing animation, good storylines, compelling characters, music is amazing. Watching it for the first time was like the first time I read the Kate Daniel’s series or listened to the Hamilton soundtrack!
Gina G says
+1 for Arcane????
Sabrina says
Definitely +1 for Arcane!
CTL says
Ms. Marvel is a well produced show but you have to really like teenage angst (or have kids or grandkids). If the Spiderman movies were just about his high school years, I wouldn’t have the patience for that either. Umbrella Academy has a lot more of a “grown up” feel. Good shows all around but I’m definitely not Ms. Marvel’s focused demographic.
Noybswx says
Ooh, yay for new recommendations! Lately just been finding new music instead of tv shows. Don’t know if you’re familiar with the HU (song example-Wolf Totem). They do traditional Mongolian throat singing mixed with metal.
Mandy says
Hu is awesome! The Mongolian throat singing is magical! It gives me goosebumps.
Noybswx says
It really is fantastic!
Tatiana Santillan Rivero says
GOBLIN GOBLIN. u aint seing drama until you see GOBLIN and thats a fact of life.
Also Coffee Prince ’cause i love him.
Super strong girl
Y bueno GOBLIN …y el soundtrack es excelente HACE LLORAR
Dallas says
We love you that is why offers of hit men, black magic rituals etc are being offered. You deserve to be treated better than this.
reeder says
I’m also enjoying Alchemy of Souls. Her glare! I keep on waiting for a growl sound effect and resulting whimper but am glad they’re not going so obvious and he’s sneaky in his own way, too.
Rachel says
Ooh Alchemy of Soul is on my watch list! So glad to hear it’s good!
Recommendations:
I watched:
Business Proposal. Light and easy K drama romantic comedy which pokes fun at some of the K drama tropes.
I am watching:
Who Rules the World. C drama martial arts fantasy with a heavy dose of political manoeuvring. Several strong powerful female characters, the hero and heroine have great chemistry and the romance is a lovely slow burn, which I much prefer to insta love narratives.
I want to watch:
Extraordinary Attorney Woo. (https://youtu.be/MxeXECe2t-c)
Stars Park Eun Bin as a neurodivergent lawyer. I really liked her in the King’s Affection and am looking forward to seeing what she does with this role.
Mar says
Not K- or C-Drama. I have been watching a lot of police /detective shows through Hoopla or Amazon Prime or my local PBS.
My Life is Murder. Season 1 and 2 Lucy Lawless (Xena). Retired detective and working on artisanal breads helps solves murders for her former boss.
Murder in…. French police show set in various beautiful places/regions in France.
The Art of Crime. French police show. Main detective gets transferred to art crimes. He needs to get trained in art history but for some reason can’t retain any info. Has a mental block. His boss pairs him up with a female art expert who speaks with the artists( I.e Monet, Leonardo, etc) via vivid hallucinations.
CTL says
Ooh. I need to check these out! I submerged so far into k-dramas (and the like) that my Netflix recommendations are no longer in English.
Cymru Llewes says
Leverage, The Librarians, and Warehouse 13.
BTW, it seems like magical storage facility/museum/research facility is a VERY sparsely populated genre…
(Why, yes, I was a child who read the encyclopedias and dictionary for fun AND an adult who happily rabbit-holes TV-tropes.org and Wikipedia. )
reeder says
You might enjoy the tv show White Collar if you like heists and haven’t seen it.
Sabrina says
Oooo, I loved Leverage! The reboot has its moments, but I’m not 100 percent convinced yet…
Becky says
YES!!!! Love these three!
Leslie Sexton says
Oh we loved all of those. Great shows.
AnnieJay says
I have been on an anime binge. My three:
1. Spy X Family – hilarious, suspenseful, adorable; found family. Waiting for the next instalment, unless I get the manga series first!
2. Cowboy Bebop – rollercoaster, what an ending! Great OST. May watch the live action version soon. Because John Cho.
3. Way of the House Husband
and for sheer relaxation and aww factor:
Pui Pui Molcar
Leslie Sexton says
Love Cowboy Bebop. I liked the live action. They actually cleared up a few things I must have missed in the anime. I hope they do the second season.
Cynthia says
Well that explains why I could not leave a comment after reading that particular post earlier.
