I am going to nitpick and complain about practicality of the swords, feet, rocks, etc.
The cover isn’t meant to 100% represent weapons and armor. It’s meant to deliver a powerful dynamic image that will sell the book and Doris knocked it out of the park. It’s a stunning image.
Smmoe1997 says
That is an awesome cover!
Colleen says

Stacy Evans says

Maud!
wasnt_serious says
LOL. I couldn’t think of her name…all my brain was saying was “OOOOH Dina’s sister!!!”
Nes Maret says
I thought the same!
Retias says
My first thought was also, “Oooh, Maud!”
Andri/Kaylenn says
Wow….
BookLover says
That cover is absolutely stunning and to whoever nitpicks – covers are never ever representative of what is in the book – that’s where the saying “Never judge a book by a cover” comes from
😉
Gayathri says
Wow!! I can’t wait to read Maud’s story!!!
Kim Harmeling says
Wowza! I have been waiting for this book for a while now and you just made the wait more difficult. What a great teaser!

Haha, it’s been a while since I read that expression. It takes me back to friday-afternoons last year. Good memories!
Sara says
Her proportions look little weird but I agree it is a exquisite image. Love the colors used. It’s dark but vibrant at the same time.
Maggie Wright says
Gorgeous! I love it!
JO says
Not a hoof! Awesome image. Bravo to you and Doris.
Alex R. says
Two swords, no helmet, and “get the hell out of my way” look on her face. Vampires will be lining up for days to fall at her feet.
You know …. It could be Helen all growed up ….
Tink says
Helen is blond. Not that she can’t color her hair, but I’m definitely thinking Maud.
Alex R. says
Yup. You’re right. Just trying to go beyond the obvious. But it pretty much has to be Maud.
Or Gerard’s wife. ?
trailing wife says
I was blond as a child. My hair darkened as I grew up — this is very common.
Tink says
All I can think is, “Hah! I was right that it was a foot in a boot and not a hoof. Whoohoo!” What can I say? I’m shallow.
It is lovely artwork. I can’t remember… Did Doris have an option for buying prints of the Innkeeper artwork? I really liked one of the ones of Baha-char, and this picture, too.
KathyInAiken says
Must buy book…my precious!
Portia2b says
Hell yeah!!!!! Great cover! Dynamic with promises of great characters and lots of action. I read books via a kindle app as some covers are just creepy, but this, this I would buy the hard copy and walk around town. Kudos to the artist and you. ♡ (Is there an ETA for Maud? )
Jolie says
Holy moly. Maud is going to rain fire someplace. This is epic ?
Amelie says
Is this a cover for the next Innkeeper book or is Maud getting her own standalone story? Looks great and Maud is very kick ass in it.
Nancy says
love it
Laura says
Oh yay! Fabulous! At first my link wouldn’t click and all I had was a close up of what appears to be a disintegrating astral body. Excellent image on its own, but I’m thinking, where is the cool sword? Persistence paid off and I finally got the full image! I can’t wait to read it!
Christian Chandler says
That is a awesome cover. Everything about it is beautiful and strong and demands a second and a third look.
Cris says
Absolutely amazing! ?
Sharon A says
Wow.
Karen the Griffmom says
Heck, Doris could have drawn kittens drinking tea, and the BDH would buy the book. As newbie-bait and for pure pretty, yes indeed! GO, Doris.

I am sincerely thankful (& totally complaint-free!) that more Innkeeper is coming our way, Dina is my favorite.
