  2. These are really great designs! The Kohlegari (I know I spelled that wrong!) designs would be fun as a two sided print on a large mug. Though if possible, could the mugs and be extension the designs thereon, be dishwasher proof?

    Are we going to see the Roman quote that’s used on the main site page? I think Cherny would like it in the merch store. 😉

    I may not keep all of them (I have adult children after all.) but I wants them, my precious, I *wants* them.
    I especially like the kolovershi, but the unwelcome mat is just what I need for my new (to me) house.
    Guess I’ll have to wait for it.

  24. I’m already wincing and I haven’t yet seen the price on the Unwelcome Mat. But I love it. The shirt with just the branch and critters and no ‘evil enough’ might get me. I have a 4 year old grandchild. If the shirt has words, she wants to know what they say. There will hopefully be a Roman mug for my growing collection. I’ve been debating mug collection display racks on Amazon to show them off properly. I also need some replacement Kate stickers because they’re wearing away.

        • I cannot guarantee which items will be available regionally as that depends on the local vendors, but yes, the store will be open internationally 🙂

    • That was my thought as well-the full tree with the critters but no “evil enough.”
      People in my area would take it, ummm, badly. But I would know inside..😄
      Merch is one of my best treats!

  40. I love the kolovershi! (Even though I probably spelled that wrong) They are cute, odd, rumpled, perky, and the artwork style is charming.
    For the unwelcone mat, I kinda wish the ends of the posts visually connected with the flames. I mocked it up and it makes everything come together.

    • Sorry-I’m a smartass and am just imagining you taking your littles somewhere wearing these shirts and calling them your personal kolovershi (hopefully I’m making you laugh but apologize if joke landed wrong?)

Id love a boyfriend hoodie with the shirt design. 🙏 but will be happy if I can smag a shirt. by chance do you guys have an estimated timwline of release of stuff and pricing. I know itll be a ball park estimate but I want to try and set. money aside so I dont miss put this time!

      • The Horde will be like the kraken Kate blew up when she was trying to get to the Farm. The site buying eases, then swells with buyers, and eases again, and so forth.

  55. I had a little giggle when I noticed the scorpion in the Unwelcome Mat design, especially when I think back to your stories about encountering those critters.

    Love the tree and critters in the “evil enough” design. Would you consider having a small single critter only (with or without the tree branch) as an option? Was thinking something along the lines of how some sports polo brands have their alligator or polo-player-on-horse as a small image over the left chest.

    • 😀 I think Ilona is ahead of you there, possibly. The little one moddled on Eeyore was requested separately from the graphic designer.

    I love the kolovershi tree, but I usually avoid any and all text on shirts. Could it be an option ?
    You managed to get me over my usual aversion to merch… congratulation on that very real feat.

    • Preordering is not possible, we’ll have to wait for store opening in July. The mat will be available in the UK/EU store and the US store, as the regional vendors carry the option.

      I will make a note for design without text 🙂

  67. Love the “I am evil enough” shirt. Hope they come in something other than white and ecru. My water will turn them an ick brown (hard well water).

    • Yes, this is just a sample preview 🙂. There will be black and navy colour with contrasting white design too 🙂

  69. I read the comments for the first announcement of Sanctuary merch too late to comment. However, I’m very excited for the unwelcome mat. I’ll need a few. I do really like the idea of being able to purchase iron-ons, or even buy a file to print our own iron-ons, as I am an unusual size as well. 1 size too tight and the next size up too big. I have a winter jacket that I made; it would look awesome with a HA design. Actually, I have so many things I’d like these designs on (denim). Whether or not this is possible I’ve already started saving for the store I need more of your coffee/tea mugs, stickers, and magnets [even though my kids say I bought enough last time] 🙂

  76. I have had a really rough week and clicked on the blog while desperately hoping the interwebs could provide a ray of light during a short work break. Goal Achieved!!! The Unwelcome Mat and kolovershi turned out to be exactly what I needed. Because of course as a card carrying member of the Horde, scorpions and flames and evil critters = ray of sunshine.

  79. Late request after I mulled on it overnight … kolovershi pet dishes … saucers for cats, bowls for dogs … ? Love the art examples in above, great designs. Evil enough is definitely being purchased for someone.

    Also, fleece sweatshirts that have straight bottom (instead of the banded bottom that make me look like an egg w a rubber band around the widest part). Long-sleeve tees?

    • +1 on long sleeve tees NOT in white/ecru ; would love a LONG sleep tee with long sleeves (keeps the mosquitos off) with a BIG pocket for a hankie (patch or “slit in seam” pocket) Evil enough or other fun quotes

    Would mug(s) of 18 or 20 oz. capacity be possible?

    We get to wear graphic tees to work, so I was wondering if the tee shirts will be offered in black, or Navy? White and light colors don’t work for me for splashy coffee reasons….

    • Yes, there will be black and navy options with contrasting white design 🙂

    I’ve been having serious merch shopping withdrawals…
    I need a new BDH sweatshirt, Kate world merch, and now all the Roman. Any interest adding a ball cap? With a kolovershi critter?
    Or something with Hugh’s, “Put down that cow”? Still cracks me up, even after reading for the nth time.

    I, too, need kolovershi in trees or on tree limbs without the quote. The reference to anyone’s evil would not go over well in most of my social/work circles.
    I promise to keep Roman’s guidance close to my heart, though!
    Glad you’re healing well, Ilona. I often need a bland beige-food diet and it gets carb heavy & boring.
    A gut-friendly alternative for me is the flesh of a baked sweet potato mixed really well with baby food pureed carrots (for moisture and nutrition), garlic powder and salt. A little butter is good if you can tolerate it. Sounds strange, I know, but it tastes good & is easy to digest.

    Thanks again to HA & Mod R for all you do. The BDH may feel like a bottomless pit but we love you so!

  95. I showed my wife your design for the t-shirts and she loved it. She asked if you do produce the shirts please have a v-neck as a possible choice. As she says a regular neck was not designed for women with breasts. When it does come out mark us down for 2 shirts, one v-neck and one regular. This design screams to be on a t-shirt.

  101. Just take my money. We are selling our house, so I had to get a new boring doormat. my husband was distraught that it was not the Roman doormat so I promised him we could have one for the new house
