Greeting, oh terrifying and mighty Horde! We are trying to finalize the Sushi items for the merch store, and we need your opinions. We are terribly excited because Leesha Hannigan had time for more art. Feast your eyes upon this mug. Woo!
Before you ask, the Leaf Water is the reference to the map. The back of the map that went out with the vellum packs had a Tour of Kair Toren by Sushi. Here is what she had to say about tea.

Humans go here to sit around. Other humans bring them water with nasty leaves in it, and they drink it. Sometimes they make funny noises and die. Don’t drink the leaf water.
We carry two categories of merch: POD and local.
Print on Demand merch is mugs, T-shirts, and mouse pads/desk mats. They are produced through different vendors, and we usually do not see the product that’s actually shipped. POD is more expensive to make and gives us a very narrow margin, but because the items are printed as ordered, we don’t have to invest in the inventory, and if something goes wrong in shipping, Printify works with the vendors to replace the shipment free of charge to us. So it’s less money but less hassle.
Local merch like vellum and stickers are printed by us, and we have an actual inventory of it. It’s slightly more hassle, but also a lot more profitable for us, and we can actually eyeball every item that goes out.
We will have Sushi mugs and deskmats available through the store, but this post is mostly about the local merch. We will try to have tumblers as well, but they are so expensive that honestly, the more reasonable option would be a vinyl sticker which you could stick on your existing tumbler.
Here is our dilemma: we would like to offer you a Sushi sticker sheet. These are vinyl stickers, the same type as in the vellum pack. To safely ship these stickers to you, we have two options.
Option 1: a bubble mailer with a cardboard insert, stickers securely packed into a clear sleeve. Your shipping cost: probably around $7-9.
Option 2: we attempt to fit the stickers into a postcard envelope. We would probably print a postcard, stick the sticker sheet into it, and pray it gets there in one piece. Shipping would be free for you, but I’m very iffy on the contents actually surviving this method of delivery and I am not sure this will work. We would have to test.
We would like to make Option 1 more attractive for you, because nobody want to pay $20 for some stickers, so we are trying to put together a Sushi pack. Basically we can stuff the bubble mailer with stuff and as long as it’s under 1lb in weight, we should be at the same mailing cost. We will charge more for the final pack, but if you are a Sushi fan, this would be the most cost-effective option for the swag.
The question is, what can we put into the envelope?
We have this keychain.
We have magnets, although we may have to rethink the size. Also magnets are a little heavier.
What else would you like? We can do bookmarks, we can do a Sushi vellum (Gordon thought people might like that,) we can do pins. We will definitely include a bookplate, because it already has Sushi on it.
We can probably reprint the map, if you guys missed out, but Becka will also be putting out a digital pack with the maps. We can also do a thing where we print Helena’s stickers, with her characters from This Kingdom, and you get two sticker sheets in the pack.
(Also, yes, I will ask Leesha if she will do Ferret Heist art. I don’t know what her availability is like or if she would be interested.)

I voted for vellum of other series, although that might require a major re-org of my HA-only bookcase. Maybe vellum with a group shot per series, that way I only need one vellum per shelf. 😉

I already spent my money on the vellum but very excited for others to get merch! Honestly I’d be most interested in shirts since apparently none of my clothes fit anymore but I realize that’s not in the cards right now.
Idk if others in the Horde have been influenced into the planner/journal space like I have, but my first thought for small light weight merch was washi tape, especially if you stick to the smaller sizes (ie. <= 15mm in width).
I’d love to see bookmarks of all the things. As long as we’re obsessing we might as well obsess over coordinating our bookmarks to our books.
Hello. Someone before me mentioned a calendar and that would be awesome using illustrations from any of the Ilona Andrews worlds, but is there any chance at all of a Sushi plush?
A Sushi plushie is in the works but it will not be ready for sale until next year 🙂
Thank you for providing so much merch! If possible, I would love vellum of Candace Slater’s Kair Toren art. I know character art is more popular, but I would love to turn the page in my book and see a pic of the mage tower, or see The Garden art when Maggie walks in.

Ok, I LOVE the vellum pack that I have, but it doesn’t have Maggie?!!!! And Helen’s depiction of Maggie is BEAUTIFUL. Can we PRETTY PRETTY PLEASE have a vellum of Helen’s characters (specifically Maggie please please please).

I love small tote bags like the ones they have in out of print. Durable canvas bags. I use them for work/ purse. Would especially love more kate Daniels things or sword things. Maybe a collection of the swords used in your books? I also love the ferret heist and want to see more of that please too. I like the little blank notebooks too as i use them a lot.

I want ALL the things! But my most used merch are the travel coffee mugs, tshirts, crewnecks and hoodies. I will always spend money on those.

In a perfect world where I could have everything, I’d like the vellum pack & Sushi pack with Sushi vellum.
(Truly crazy idea for the crafters in the horde — an amigurumi Sushi pattern. I would happily knit or crochet that! Not a serious suggestion, although I would definitely buy it if it existed).

This is likely absurd, but I would buy a dozen Sushi door hinge toppers. Little colored acrylic Sushis keeping an eye on me from the top of my door hinges would give me a boost every time I saw them. They would definitely be small and sturdy enough to fit into a mailer with minimal fuss!
First, I am 77 so really no merchandise for me. I am trying to downsize. Maybe a tee shirt or a mug but nothing else. I did buy the vellum. I usually buy your books in hardback if available, kindle, audio and graphic audio. I just want to live long enough to read about Dina finding her parents, and the second Hugh book. These are life goals. Thank you sincerely for your wonderful writing. I have enjoyed reading all of it and look forward to whatever comes next.
Bookplates!! Or straight out heavy-paper printed postcards that I can frame! Or put on my fridge with magnets I already own. I’m a cheap (sad, but true) e-consumer of books and while I love all biblio-coded merch, I want art I can display around my house. Or workplace. And VINYL stickers!! I can put them on laptops/wallet/phone case/water bottles I already own! OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHH or embroidered PATCHES for my workbag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have received a few different postcard envelopes of Vinyl stickers from Etsy orders, never seen damage.
