A few days ago, when the edits for This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me just landed in our inboxes, I made this candle with the idea that once this, final content edit was done, I would ceremoniously light it.
In all fairness, the candle looked prettier in my head, but I don’t normally make candles.
Well, guess what?
That’s right, the edits are done.
Here is the candle, burning in the study. Hopefully it will smell lovely.
The edit has been sent off and I’m going to take a couple of days to recover.
Congratulations! Have fun, have a relaxation thing of some kind, whatever makes you happy….you deserve it!!!!!!

OH wow!!! When I saw the first picture I also thought it didn’t look all that pretty – in fact I wasn’t entirely sure what it was. But then I saw the photo of it lit and it is BEAUTIFUL – a transformation which feels especially symbolic for this process. Thank you for sharing. 🙂

When I saw the first picture, I thought “Wow, that’s so pretty!” Then I read the post and saw the candle wicks so WOW again. You are so creative! Love the flowers, colors and candle. Bet it smells heavenly.
But HUGE congratulations for completing the edits on Maggie. So anxious for the release!!! How does BDH cope between releases? Re Read/Listen to all IA till then I guess. That’s what I’ll be doing. Enjoy a well-deserved rest!!!
