Audio: Hillary and James have the file and will record the book sometime in Early September, which means we will be seeing it maybe in October. We just finished pronunciation guides, and if you speak Japanese, we would love your help, because Gordon’s time in Utsunomiya was many years ago and he is a little rusty.
We just handed off the store support messages to our regular customer service specialist. She was not available before but she just finished her summer semester at college. She went through the customer issue emails at record speed, not realizing that I was still handling them on my end. (I feel like Ada – it’s good to be young.) Yes. But not for a bit. This Kingdom sequel comes first.

Yes. She threatened him and he liked it. Of course, there will be romance.

Guys, Candice is credited in the usual place artists are credited in the ebook.
People who hire artists check the copyright page. Moving the link to her anywhere else will lessen her exposure.
What’s next?
Next we are working on Maggie 2. But, don’t go away, because we are going to try to have fun stuff available to you. We have a few deleted scenes and short fragments that we need to finish and develop into short stories and more inn-terviews at Gertrude Hunt.
Will this hit NYT?
Not a chance in hell. NYT is heavily weighted toward print books. USAT used to track ebooks, but they now changed the way they are compiling their list, so I wouldn’t expect us to hit there at all.
We don’t care. We are already happy as we can be.
This was an intense path to publication with sudden editing issues, which I won’t discuss here, and we worked so hard, and this is amazing.

Cat name: I like Fluffy and Tiger best, followed by Simba.
He is so being a Fluffy with Elias and Samantha, but if attacked he is a Tiger.
If he is like the cats I have met the very fact that Leo is opposed to keeping him means Leo will be the Cats favorate.

I don’t normally buy ebooks because I can borrow them for free usually through the library. however upon looking in my Kindle and my Google books I realize that I have three of your books and the only comparison is with one or two other authors where I have maybe one or two of theirs. I just don’t do it very often but I can’t seem to help myself with you guys. I got it directly from your website and it was super easy to download. I was really glad that I could get it directly from you as opposed to getting it from Amazon. I want you to have all the money. Elias just doesn’t seem the type to go for too cute a name. And this cat is the size of a cow. No matter how tame he/she may be acting now, I expect it can do some hella nasty damage with those teeth and claws!

I remember there were some talk of it but I forgot what it was about. I have waited it for so long. (not that inheritance isn’t great and awesome and I’m so excited about the Maggie book!)
We got 5 chapters of Iron and Magic 2 shared on the blog before The Inheritance started, sorry you missed them 🙂.
Of course it’s a best seller! The Inn Keeper series is the bomb. Any tie in makes us go “WHOOP WHOOP” I’m sure Maggie will be wonderful because you two do not write bad stuff of any kind. I think Samantha will name it something ridiculous, and Leo will hate it. Elias will either keep it or suggest a close variant.
Samantha thinks it is cute, regardless of how dangerous it is. Hair (if like the big one) is deep ruby to tar black.. with rosettes and stripes… she might suggest “Ruby” or “Cheeto” or “Pumpkin” or “Marmalade”.
But if we want cross-ties, Elias choosing “Marigold” would be hilarious.
I thought I saw a #1 there on Amazon! We, the BDH, are ravenous creatures, waiting to rend and tear into our favorite authors’ newest book (delicately, of course, not to crease any of the pages.)
As for names, I suggest my own cat’s name – Mouse. I THOUGHT he was going to be huge based on his paw size as a kitten, but he turned out to only have freakishly long toes. A huge disappointment. However, the reasoning still applies – a huge cat named Mouse. My sense of humor is juvenile and I love Harry Dresden.
P.S. – my other fat boy is Itty-Bitty. He decided it was his name.

Thinking it may be the offspring of the adult Skelzhar Ada, Jovo and Bear killed. If it’s male, have to suggest Emmett — one of the best cats who ever owned me. Bottle fed him from a baby after he was found in the bush. Also like Ramses. If female, suggest Bastet (Egyptian cat goddess).

My cat name vote: I’ve always named my cats after LOTR characters and the most wonderful, loving cat I ever had (although a cat mom should not have favorites) was Bombur. She refused to even notice the chipmunk that invaded my house, so maybe not fierce enough. But so sweet. Miss you Bombur!

Grabbed the book from your website and had no issues other than me trying to work out how to open it instead of getting my teenagers to help me. I tried to read it all at once but life kept getting in the way! Loved it from the get go. Mind you I say that about all your stories. Yes Ive read all of them at least twice some alot more lol.
The Cat, hopefully will have a hero or demigod name depending on his powers and characteristics that come out of R&D as he learns about earth people. He will respect Elias and those with power. So umm Prince or Noble depending on his age.

Regarding the cat, I did a deep-dive with notes and everything (and it seems to be related to Zeus; first appearance in “Wildfire” Hidden Legacy).
I loved the “Little Prince” quote, which refers to a fox and a meaningful relationship, so I would love to see something relative to that. Here’s what I found:
Renard/Reynard (from the French; “Little Prince”). Is there a Renald character in Maggie – I can’t remember?
Tod/Toddy (Scottish/Old English; [Elias] McFeron is a Scottish name)
Vixen (female)
Kit (young fox)
Kitsune(Japanese shape-shifter, serve the goddess Inari (one of her domains is blacksmiths, which relates to the McFeron name) as messengers)
