  20. l am a long time reader, first time poster, most importantly, please try some paraffin therapy from a manicure expert. the wax on your hands and wrists is heavenly. I gave myself carpel tunnel, paraffin feels fabulous, please try it. It truly helps the pain. Next, thank you for your free fiction experiment. You are both so generous. I appreciate your Innkeeper stories and anything else you are willing to share. I hope you both have a lovely time at the beach. But, most importantly, having dealt with pain, Please take care of yourself.

  33. Enjoy the beach! That sounds glorious!

    I’m still enjoying the crepe inspiration – no dessert crepes yet, but tonight’s was filled with scallops, zucchinis, tomatillos and fresh herbs. And then I had chocolate lava cake and raspberry sorbet (it had been a long few days, and cooking helps me unwind.)

    • So jealous. Salad, chicken and fish until I lose the 3 pounds I put on when my daughter visited. SO jealous…

      • Would it help if I listed all of the foods that I can’t eat? (…though I’d prefer not to. I don’t think I’ve ever put together a complete list, I mostly work from what I can eat, which is reasonably plentiful and much less depressing.)

        My body will pretty much self regulate if I stick with my training schedule and don’t eat anything I’m allergic to. Of course, I’m still making my way back from the great allergy incident, but I’m most of the way back… (And for the next month or so, I’ll be happy to hold steady, as my schedule will be all over the place, and my stress level is likely to be… high. I cook because it is so much more productive than violent revenge against asshats.)

        (Okay, just one asshat. And an asshat whom I sometimes even like, but oh, so aggravating at the moment.)

        • I think I’ve seen a bunch of them on previous posts. I am so sorry that you have the danger to your health.
          My allergies are generally not food based, but I can sympathize.
          Your dinner was still awesome. I’m happy you enjoyed it and happy that you enjoyed cooking it.
          Feel free to make me jealous anytime.
          (And asshats deserve your ire, even if you sometimes like them.)

    I am not sure we dare go on holiday abroad again. My husband is scoring two for two.
    In 2017 we came back from holiday, He fell ill on the way back, hospital for 10 days, off work 10 weeks.In 2018 we went on holiday and he broke his wrist on the first day. So far he has been off work four weeks and counting! At least we always carry travel insurance and we live in England, so no expensive bills.

      I notice it lists three stories: Silent Blade, Silver Shark, and A Mere Formality. I have the first two but don’t recall the third. Is that something written especially for this edition? Can we look forward to being able to buy it separately at some future time?? Here’s the blurb:

  143. BTW…..Has there been any discussion regarding some “rippercushions” merchandise?
    My personal vote swings to a graphic of the word in a small variety of available fonts … Papyrus/Century Gothic/Typewriter … With 5 long clawmarks pulled thru the word at a slight angle. Maybe a few downy feathers floating by.
    This could be put on tees, coffee cups, etc etc etc.
    Thoughts, anyone?

    • I’d spend money on it. Not sure what the best thing to put it on would be, except there should be some way to get it on a pillow…

  145. Loved the story. I liked how you got past the horrible things Hugh has done in the past, still keep true to his arrogant character but redeem him in the readers eyes. Very adroit. Only one problem. I read the book on kindle for my iPhone and at the start of each chapter the first two lines were obscured by a sword. I hope some day you will republish swordless
