Never fear we will be waiting as patiently as possible for your return. Don’t turn on a computer or think about a single plot while you are gone (unless you just can’t help it). Work will always be there. Life might not. Celebrate it as often as you can.

    I am not sure we dare go on holiday abroad again. My husband is scoring two for two.
    In 2017 we came back from holiday, He fell ill on the way back, hospital for 10 days, off work 10 weeks.In 2018 we went on holiday and he broke his wrist on the first day. So far he has been off work four weeks and counting! At least we always carry travel insurance and we live in England, so no expensive bills.

  35. WooHoo! Retreat. Rest. Reload. Return. BTW thanks for kind comments re wildfires. Not us yet. Everybody else though. Guy Fieri–Diners Drive in and Drives guy–setting up feeding stations that can take 5000 a day. We will all survive!

  38. Major Announcement!!! Subterranean Press is doing a limited edition of THE KINSMAN UNIVERSE. I just got the email since I’m on their mailing list. I went and ordered my copies RIGHT AWAY because their edition of the INNKEEPER sold out very, very quickly. It is scheduled to be released in December. Happy happy holidays for us all.

      I notice it lists three stories: Silent Blade, Silver Shark, and A Mere Formality. I have the first two but don’t recall the third. Is that something written especially for this edition? Can we look forward to being able to buy it separately at some future time?? Here’s the blurb:

    As for me, I just got the notification for the early announcement for the release of “The Kinsmen Universe” from Subterranean Press. IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!! And mine is already ordered. So, thank you, author lords, for this amazing gift even while you’re gone!

  43. BTW…..Has there been any discussion regarding some “rippercushions” merchandise?
    My personal vote swings to a graphic of the word in a small variety of available fonts … Papyrus/Century Gothic/Typewriter … With 5 long clawmarks pulled thru the word at a slight angle. Maybe a few downy feathers floating by.
    This could be put on tees, coffee cups, etc etc etc.
    Thoughts, anyone?

    • I’d spend money on it. Not sure what the best thing to put it on would be, except there should be some way to get it on a pillow…

  45. Loved the story. I liked how you got past the horrible things Hugh has done in the past, still keep true to his arrogant character but redeem him in the readers eyes. Very adroit. Only one problem. I read the book on kindle for my iPhone and at the start of each chapter the first two lines were obscured by a sword. I hope some day you will republish swordless
