I cannot stop staring at the detail one incredibly talented @helena.illustrated has brought to Nevada and Rogan’s world. For science, obviously.

These are the covers of the Arcane Society Hidden Legacy Special Edition Box, which include Burn for me, White Hot and Wildfire. Arcane Society operates like a book club, but these are available to the general public. They told us they are selling out fast, so this will likely be our last post regarding these. If you somehow missed it, now is your chance.

Readers will get end papers by @helena.illustrated on top of the art featured above; and dust jacket and hard case illustration and edges by the fabulously talented @fantastical_ink. The boxes will be shipped in November 2025 and cost $120 plus shipping and taxes.

I’m off to stare some more and pretend Ilona sent me the next part of the Augustine and Diana story. Which I won’t spoil you about, but incites extremely professional editorial comments like “Yessssssss, yessssssss. It feeds us, Precious, it gives us crumbses! Wicked, tricksy Ilonases!” on my part.

  5. I’m predominately an e-book person because of my housing, but I have a small bookcase of my favorites and I couldn’t resist these. THEY ARE SO GORGEOUS!!!!! and Nevada’s trilogy is what introduced me to the BDH (and renewed my love of reading.) I can’t wait to get my hands on them!!

  11. It’s always nice to see how well ModR articulates the focus and desire of the BDH.

    I mean, yeah. That’s us. Totally focusing on that stuff. For science. We are a scientifically minded bunch. Yep. Science.

    Those editorial comments? Yep. Once again, ModR has capture the spirit of the Horde.

    I would also add that we sometimes resemble the seagulls from Finding Nemo: “Mine. Mine. Mine.”

  12. Arcane really did a great job with the books. Illustrations of Rogan and Nevada are nice. I decided to pass on getting them since I have the e-books.

    There should be a warning sign for Mad Rogan’s picture. “Warning: staring at this picture will cause possible self-combustion. Cold shower is recommended.”

    Yes, I did notice I made a pun. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😜

    • That’s a question for Arcane Society, I’m afraid I don’t know whether the art is exclusive to them or not 🙂

    • There was an error in the email sent, I believe. AS later clarified in the comments on social media and their Fb group that they will be keeping to the initial November date 🙂

      • That. Is. Awesome. I waited months for the Iron & Magic/Blood Heir set, and I was fine with waiting months for this one, I figured that’s just what it takes, but NOT waiting months = Christmas comes early this year (no matter what the retail displays say).

    Do Ilona and Gordon realise they have unleashed the love child of Smaug the dragon and Gollum onto the BDH? I was browsing through the free fiction and came across the totally realistic papped picture of you cavorting on a beach with our favourite Volv Roman ; now it seems you have designs on Rogan. I am sure if we dug through your treasure pile we would find more preciouses like Raphael, Derek, Alessandro, etc! How many hunky preciouses does one woman need?! ( Asking for a friend)

    However all will be forgiven if you chain Gordon and Ilona to their desks till they finish the Augustine and Diane story. As a long time member of the BDH , I find rereading/ listening to the preciouses on my bookshelf helps me w*it with moderate p*tience for their next story. I loved “ The Inheritance” and am eagerly aw*iting the audiobook.

  30. Its my birthday today. Next week I retire. I’m calling these books my last expensive indulgence. I’ve got a date of April next year for shipping. I will wait in an….tisi…..pation!!!!! (Shades of Rocky Horror 😘 ). These three books are three of my all time favs, along with the innkeeper books and TA White’s Firebird Chronicles. Thank you House Andrews, for hours and hours of reading enjoyment 🤗

  36. the new covers are gorgeous. I had my phone on night mode when I opened this post – for a bit of fun check out how pretty the covers are in greyscale too! really different, but just as dynamic.

    also, the excellence of the new covers really makes the Photoshop in the original very loud.

  40. First of all, AWESOME cover art!! The picture is much closer to how I picture Nevada & Connor than the first covers!

    Then, wait, what? Augustine and Diana? As in Diana Harrison?!? Did I miss something? When did this happen?

  45. I have space envy. We downsized a few years ago, and I absolutely don’t have space for any more physical books (thank goodness for my Kindle!). Oh, but I want these! They’re beautiful. (Big sigh of sadness)

  46. I canceled a birthday trip I’d been planning for over a year because life lifed a little too hard recently. This is a very nice consolation prize. Now I’m slightly sad instead of super sad. Can’t wait for mine to arrive. I WILL NOT be stroking them whispering “My Preciiiiooousssss” when they get here. I will be totally nonchalant. No I will not. Chalant forever!!!

  47. While I don’t have a problem with the artists’ work, I don’t like faces on books – at all! If I don’t like the way they look, I won’t pick up the book.
    I don’t see the synopsis, so I’m not hooked to read the book.
    The exception to my rule is if it is Ilona Andrews, I will read anything they write!
    “the Kingdom …” and “The Inheritance” are my favorite kind of covers, because they draw me into the story.

  48. I got my set and the website says orders will be shipped in April 2026 so hopefully no one has a any heart attacks in November expecting them to arrive in time for Christmas.

    • Kate, the owner of AS, corrected it on the AS social media to November, but I would check with them if there are doubts at the email above 🙂

  50. This has nothing to do with the above posts. Mod R, can you advise if the store is a no go. I haven’t heard or seen a post recently. I know a lot is going on. Maybe I missed a post. I thought maybe it was a possibility earlier, but I also remember last year it was too much. So could you please let me know. Christmas is coming and I was hoping for a few things. Thanks Donna

    • Hi Donna,

      The store is currently only open for ebooks. I do know there is a plan in place with a distributor, but House Andrews are going through all the due diligence atm and I don’t have an update.

    • I know. I felt the same, but I console myself with the thought that’s it’s pretty artwork and it doesn’t have to be perfect. Not everyone cares about proper firearm posture and procedure. Maybe we could just stare at Rogan’s handsome face instead. 😅🙃

  52. Wow, those are pretty. I do not, however, need 3 copies of the same books. I might like a copy of the cover art if that’s possible.
