The mods on Facebook and Mod R have received a lot of messages asking why we are not writing Arabella right now.
“But why can’t you write a Russian hero? It’s like the North Pole and Santa Claus, it happens in an alternative Russia.”
Some emails create a false equivalency between Hidden Legacy and Elizabeth Gilbert’s book, which was set in Russia. She pulled the book.

Ms. Gilbert’s situation is different. I can’t speak to her motives. And yes, Hidden Legacy does feature a completely alternative world Russia with the monarchy still intact.
We don’t live in that world. This is not fiction. This is real life. The city Prigozhin occupied was the city I grew up in.
I understand that some of you are upset because a book you want isn’t being written, but in this, real world Russia, my 40 year old brother received a draft notice last week.
