Wildfire: Graphic Audio Sneak Peeks

Blog, Hidden Legacy POST A COMMENT January 7, 2026 by Moderator R

Good news for our ears, BDH!

The dramatized adaptation of Wildfire by Graphic Audio is almost here, and we have exclusive preview samples for you today, because we are beloved and people enjoy enabling our anticipation!

We’ve gone back and forth on which samples to ask for, but in the end it just *had* to be:

The dashing male secretary:

Rogan’s Madero Live Demonstration (to feed our bloodthirst):

Arabella’s trial, because MATHS BETRAYAL:

There is one more sample on the Graphic Audio Wildfire page, the series debut of Vicky Baby!

The full release lands on January 20th on the Graphic Audio Access platform and all the usual audio retailers, and yes, it includes Rogan’s third POV, featuring House Adé-Afẹ́fẹ́. If you’ve been waiting to hear that particular thread brought to life, your patience is about to be rewarded.

And the Hidden Legacy adaptations continue! Fellow BDH members are helping with Basque pronunciations, I’m currently deep in script feedback, and Megan &team will start recording on Diamond Fire, which is already live for preorder and will be released on the 23rd of March.

For those wondering about the Kate Daniels universe adaptations: Nora Achrati will be back at work in the Kate world sometime mid-January, woohoo!

Oh boy, will have to come back for this later. Adulting calls rn.

Adulting didn’t snatch away your First award though! 😀

Thank you! Didn’t ruin the day either – unseasonably warm and sunny, so after adulting I got to go hiking with my niece!

The two samples I got to hear were excellent. It really is like a movie in your mind. The Maduro Live Demo says Error today – not sure what it would have said had I listened in a more timely fashion. However, the other two were entirely sufficient, so this is not a complaint, just an observation.

Hey, I just tested it and it works for me, maybe refresh? 🙂

Glad you had a fun day!

Same — I saw the clips and realized I’d have to wait to listen. Pesky responsibilities. . .

However, I am now free to do the Graphic Audio Happy Dance!!!

Squee! Unfortunately I’m probably finishing my relisten early… Today. But so excited!

I noticed that Wild Fire’s GA adaptation is a few hours shorter than the original recording. Are there GA adaptations slightly shorter ?

    • Anne says

      January 7, 2026 at 9:22 am

Excuse me i meant Burn for Me.

      • Moderator R says

        January 7, 2026 at 9:29 am

The first step of the adaptation is turning the books into essentially movie scripts – it’s what I am reviewing right now 🙂

As a direct consequence, things that are dealt with now in the sound effects or actor interpretation- “he laughed”, “the sound of his steps walking away” etc- are not needed anymore, because the actor laughs and the soundtrack inserts steps walking away, so the narrator doesn’t say them.

The other thing that happens is that dialogue and dramatization has a naturally faster rhythm than reading the book, especially when the original narrator has a more sedate, storytelling pace. This is people talking and interacting in real time 🙂

TL;DR The scripts are abridged from the book as pertains to format, but plot points or important moments and scenes are not left out 🙂

And now I finally understand why I love graphic audio and can’t do audio books.

I read so much faster than a audio book that my mind wanders, but I love graphic audio.

Oh my gosh, who ever does Victoria Tremaine got her spot on! I can’t wait to hear the whole “Vicky, baby” scene with Victoria and Linus when Catalina’s series gets put into Graphic Audio. I’ll be laughing so much my stomach will hurt.

The scene with Arabella and math – 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I agree with Catalina, I can do that math in my sleep.

I have this pre-ordered so at least I know what to expect.

Thanks Mod R for letting us hear what is coming to us later in the month! A great start to 2026. 😁

Maths betrayal, Omg that was so my household. My youngest has Dyscalculia, which makes my two older kids side eye him ( they pretty much majored in math). But when they talk about partial differential equations, or even geometry he can verbally keep up. He just can’t look at numbers and understand that “language”. He’s worked very hard maintaining 4.0.

Ah! I cannot wait. I discovered the dramatized adaptations around Christmas and have made my way through the two Hidden Legacy adaptions, Magic Bites & the first three Innkeeper adaptations. Great way to reread the books!

    Thank you, these were great!

Any possibility of printing Burn For Me as a hardcover individually? I can only find paperback versions and I usually buy print copies in hardcover form. I think I saw that it was only released as a paperback until the Arcane Society box set. I already own the other two in the series and would love this one as well.

      Hi Liliana,

These Hidden Legacy is a traditionally published series – only the publisher can decide formats, print type and retail options 🙂

  23. Linda says

Can’t wait! I love this series because the whole set of characters could carry their own books. I’m hoping to get Leon as a “mature” adult fighting magical crime with his mini Rogan cousin/nephew as a sidekick.

GA does a great job, as usual. I still can’t picture Rogan with that voice, though. Feels off from the dragon description in the books.

  29. Hoopy Frood says

    January 8, 2026 at 3:23 pm

Hmmm… The site’s html code seems to have garbled something. following “Rogan’s third POV”, it says, “featuring House Adé-Afẹ́fẹ́.” Is “Adé-Afẹ́fẹ́” what it was supposed to say? [Edit: MOD R]

    • Moderator R says

      January 8, 2026 at 3:28 pm

It is the name of a Nigerian House, meaning Wind-Crowned. The diacritics are intentional 🙂 . The pronunciation can be searched https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/af%E1%BA%B9f%E1%BA%B9 or heard in the audio book, as GA has taken care with casting Yoruba-speakers actors for authenticity.

A gentle reminder for everyone: names and words drawn from real-world languages and cultures can look surprising if you’re not used to them, but they’re not jokes or errors. A little respectful curiosity goes a long way, and we’re always happy to help with context 🙂

      • Hoopy Frood says

        January 8, 2026 at 5:30 pm

Thank you for the clarification. HTML code often scrambled stuff in a similar manner to this, so I really thought that was more of the same, thus I really appreciate the elucidation.

I LOVE the “Math Betrayal”! I can soooo relate and I didn’t have common core math, just taught the old fashioned way. I credit my Science teacher for teaching me more about math than my actual math teacher. Mr. Cady, wherever you are, thank you for your time and patience back then!

I’m currently rereading the Innkeeper Chronicles via the GraphicAudio audiobooks, and I have but one humble request: please no more over the top kissing noises as sound effects. I beg.

But still very much looking forward to reliving this series in such a unique way.
