So pretty…
A few lines from work in progress:
The glittering universe engulfed them. The ship tore through it and emerged into the normal space. A beautiful planet hung in the space in front of them, a green and blue jewel, the turquoise veil of atmosphere glowing gently. It wasn’t Earth, but it could’ve been her prettier sister. Two moons orbited the planet, one large and purple, closer to the surface, the other, tinted with orange, smaller and distant. The sunsets must be spectacular.

Sounds beautiful…

Seattle is very grey and wet right now, so it’s nice to see something blooming. It gives me hope that spring will eventually arrive here too.
Thank you for sharing your wip snippet, I can’t wait to see what the story becomes.
end of winter downer says
First day of spring is Monday, the 20th. Of course, the Puget sound area has had snow falling on the first day of spring in the past.
Suzette M. says
Such a prettier image than the one I’m currently looking at- remnants of Winter Storm Stella.
Mimi says
These make the winter “showers” all worthwhile

Soooooo tantalizingly good! New work? Inn Keeper?
Also spring flowers are great! Eastern Washington state is also gray and wet, which is not how we should be this time of year.
Thank you!
Rena says
Hah, my first thought was Inn Keeper as well. But it could be a new Kinsman book or something else totally different and new.

Virginia Beach missed Stella but it has been 30s and windy. I actually wore a jacket the last couple days. It was warmer in January but I’m not complaining – still no snow and ice, I’m loving it!
Made homemade broccoli cheese soup tonight, yum.
Any hints on the new work?
Alecia says
ooohhhh!

Sean and Dina’s honeymoon?
Arland and Maude’s vacation destination?
Lark’s retreat?
Sigh. One can only hope.

Or possibly a Kinsman story. They were planning to write a new one.

That is my brain doing taxes right now.

The trees have leaves on them in Fort Worth. Everything is turning green. Dogwood is also blooming…..ugh! My eyes itch when purple dogwood blooms.
Thanks for the flower pictures. 🙂

I love Fort Worth. I am keeping an eye out for a promotion opportunity there in the future.

Thank you, the flowers are lovely, and the snippet intriguing. I’m really hoping we get Innkeeper#4 VERY SOON. I’m REALLY MISSING my “Friday Fix”! (BTW: It’s still cold and rainy here in Portland I hope it’s not like this in June when you come, it’s always a possibility). LOL ? ? ?

I do not remember Earth being mentioned in the Kinsmen. The Innkeeper’s Earth is recognized. Maybe this snippet is a beginning for a new series. It wouldn’t surprise me if a joint honeymoon is in the future for our two couples from the Innkeeper.
jewelwing says
Thanks for the pics! Nice contrast to the snow and wind currently outside the window, *sigh*.
MerryB says
Glad you got to see the flowers. Didn’t recognize all of them, but the tiny lavendar henbit has been a favorite since I was tiny, picking them for my mother.

As much as I enjoy the Innkeepers series, I’m hoping for a new Kinsmen. Aren’t we readers such a pain!! Thank you for the lovely snippet from whichever story you are working on!

Love the pictures and the snippet. Hope you took them as you were leisurely meandering on the trail as part of your relaxing “mini” hiatus. ? Can’t call it a respite because the WIP snippet disproves that. ?
Ilona says
No, this was on our 4 mile work out walk. 🙂
Regina says
Dare we hope for a new Innkeeper? No matter which book-universe this snippet is from, we’re excited to join you in the journey!
Thanks for sharing the beauty of your 4 mile walk and this secret new place.

Loved the snipit and the flowers. The weather in the Twin Cities is still very erratic but this weekend we are supposed to get in the fifties. The flowers I look forward to in the spring are pansies.
