First things first.
This Kingdom Lowers The Price
The ebook of This Kingdom Will Not Kill Me is $6.99 across most retailers. We are not sure if it’s a permanent or temporary reduction. It is very possible that someone at some point told us, but we have been writing and editing, and we are not sure which way is up. So we don’t know how long this will last, but if you’ve been waiting for the lower price, now is your chance.

Okay, promo done.
Life Update
Things that I need to do down the road: get a sticker artist with lettering experience, put together art briefs for everyone else, finish incorporation paperwork for Kid 2’s game company, finish Maggie’s website, fix the two fish tanks – don’t even ask, etc.
Things I am doing: editing and vellum.
Everything has been shoved onto back burner until this edit gets finished. I have a desk that needs to be put together. I have an Epson 8550 Printer that should be taken out of the box and put onto that desk. I have a Romeo cutter that should be unboxed and added to said desk. I have the manual laminator… You get the picture.
This book is taking so much braining, that I was trying to respond to some emails and this is how I typed the word new: ny.
I did finally clean out the closet though. Today Gordon has a medical appointment, so we will be making our way to Austin in the afternoon. There are few roads I hate more than I-35.
I also indulged in some retail therapy. Look at this!

This thing is available from Costco and I bought 2, one for us and one for Kid 1. It has been shipped. ::rubs hands together:: August isn’t too early for Halloween decorations, is it?

An Amazon promo sent to me said the price was one of the deals of the week, so it probably is a temporary price drop.
It most definitely is not too early! I bought a cat in a witches hat last week 😀
No, it isn’t too early for Halloween when the item is as cute as this! Thank you for all the editing, we the horde can wa*t. And please just ignore that fool Steve, there’s no shutting him up.
Pet decorations are never too early! I hope the editing goes well and you both have a chance to take a break soon!
Buc-ees is on I-35. Their charcuterie plates are amazing. The pork and venison sausage is Heavenly. You won’t have to cook.
It’s never too early for Halloween decorations! 🐈⬛🎃 I love autumn.
“Ny” is new in some interaction of Danish 😂
Ny is perfectly correct, if you are writing a Scandinavian language. As far as I know, ny means new in Norwegian, Swedish and Danish. Your brain is just trying to teach you something new. 😀
We are grateful for all your hard work!!!
Nope. Apparently not too early. One of our local grocery store chains is already putting out Halloween candy…
That decoration is too dang cute!! I have friends with a frenchie – I’ll have to tell them. 😄
Please keep health as your priority! 🤗
Not too early. I just bought a pumpkin with a cat on it!
It’s only reduced on Amazon US and not Amazon UK sadly. Hopefully the UK will follow suit soon.
never too early for Halloween!!!
I-35 is the bane of my existence. Safe travels!
It is never too early for decorations that make you happy.
Ny is New in Danish? So are your brain migration for Scandinavia?
I promise we are not as bad as we use to be…
Austin is great, I hope the appointment fgoes well. Foreign and Domestic restaurant is a great treat to make I-35 a little better.
It doesn’t matter which way you go, whether in the DFW or south, I-35 is the interstate of questionable engineering talent. It could also be called, “the bane of everyone’s existence”. That interstate is the pits to drive on!
Thank goodness Fort Worth has the Chisolm Trail toll road to avoid the pits that is 35W in Fort Worth. Goes all the way to Cleburne, TX. However, to go further south, you have to get on 35 (boo!).
Safe travels to Austin. Good luck with everything else. 🙂
Should be whether in the DFW area or south. I can’t think today either. I’m blaming it on the brutal hot temps up here.
Back to Maggie and company. I’m in the pink salt section (is it fresh?). 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not according to Costco….
Please please please, the next book for Maggie and her Knights!!!!!
August definitely is NOT too early…but I might be justifying because I have a skeleton that lives by my flagpole year round. His name is Fred (as per his concrete headstone) and he dresses up for each season.
I bought one for of the halloween doggies for Hubbys bonus Grama. She loves all animals but especially the Frenchies. She said it was too much then I said the great grandbaby saw it first and suggested it. Then she took it lovingly and quietly. Its already sitting on the porch.
Good luck on the appt and the to do list!
I mean, my Costco had Christmas ribbons out in July, so *shrug*
August is a little early to put the Halloween decorations out. Shop, for the sooner the better. The stores have there displays up already. That is adorable.
Woohoo! I read it from the library, now it’s time to buy my own copy!
I really appreciate that you guys make it available DRM free. It means I don’t have to buy it from amazon to read it on my kindle, and I would much rather support smaller bookstores.
All the same, here! On sale is how I hoped to buy my third version (regular hardback, then audio book, & now ebook) after borrowing on Libby. 🤣
OMG! That dog is so cute! I’m going to Costco right now to get one.
its never too early for Halloween!
Not in any particular order:
– not too early for Halloween decor – my ornaments for many holidays stay up all year round.
– cleaning that closet – one of my theater friends calls that “in today’s housekeeping victories” in her FB posts.
– incorporation paperwork for kid #2’s game company – mazel tov!!
– editing & vellum – many good wishes for strength and lots of tea!!
no, I also put out a similar one from Kohl’s but its a bulldog coming out of a pumpkin
Never too early for Halloween decorations!!!! I’ve got a few up already!
Wishing you both well and I hope you’re able to squeeze in a little R&R or D&D, whatever let’s you relax.
Just wondering if you have ever been on I-95??? I HATE that interstate. No matter where you get on it, the people are totally and completely out of their minds!!!!!!!!!
I’ve always wondered how sales like this impact you as the author. Do you get percentage per book? Do you have to agree to those types of sales? Who decides to do it?
Ny? As in, the Knights of Ny? (Rellasian spelling) Sounds apropos! Hmmm, I can picture a certain golden haired knight who wants Maggie’s shrubbery. The dark knight we all love, however, will not be surrendering his limbs to protect her!
Oh, and Tuna *knows* you control the inside atmosphere, therefore he blames you for not controlling the outside atmosphere- perfectly logical!
And it’s never too early to get ready for the holidays. I already have most of my Christmas decorations up! (Cough, cough, I never took them down). Last year I barely got them up in time so I left them up for a while to enjoy them…. Seems like there’s no point in putting them away now. It’s only 5 months away!
Love the TKWNKM is accessible to all. Love it. Of course I am am card-carrying member of the BDH. In addition, any day is never too early for Halloween.
Ooh, so now would be a good time to buy a hardcopy to go with my electronic copy! Your hated road sounds like my hated 101 frwy! No matter the time of day that sucker is always backed up!
One time my brain was so tired I misspelled my own name Jody instead of Jodi. Now that is bad and thankfully not repeated.
I just see the vellum thing and think “surely there must be a suitable neighbor kid because packaging vellum is above your paygrade”. (yes, i know you and gordon fill boyh ceo and intern positions yourselves.)
maybe those industrious lawn mafia kids?
Perfect! I needed an inexpensive gift for a friend ! ( we had a $6 budget but I used a electronic credit from not having to get my stuffs NOW earlier this month) I am soon to be someone’s bestie lol! It is never too early for Holiday decor!
I am thinking Costco will switch from Halloween to Christmas any day now. Good thing you got it.
(August isn’t too early for Halloween decorations, is it?) Not according to Home Depot and Lowes in the Maryland area.
Can confirm the $6.99 USD price is good at both bookshop.org and ebooks.com right now
